The Prestige
The movie opened this week and just have to see it. Been seeing its trailer and my curiousity was aroused--not only because the movie would surely show how some tricks are performed. It is a drama, fantasy, thriller movie. The Prestige was set in the time wherein magicians enjoy celebrity status. The flashy entertainer Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and shy genius Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) started as partner illusionists, but ended up as competitors as each one try to outdo each other by coming up with better tricks and shows. Knowing the trick is just an icing.. but the twists and turns of the story keeps the audience on their toes.
After the movie, there is still time to do some window-shopping before the anticipated Mass. At the Glorietta Activity Center, a housing fair is being held. There are lots and lots of people at the fair.
Then, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Italianni's. We had our usual: Sicilian Chicken Salad (to share), Penne Verdure (pasta) and bottomless Dalandan.
