Fast Friday
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
And Catholics are required to abstain from meat or some other food on all Fridays of the year, unless a solemnity falls on that day. I fast and abstain every Friday.
After attending the Friday Mass arranged by our office, I went to The Old Spaghetti House to buy food to go (this would be my only meal for today) as I have a meeting. The packaging is a simple brown bag except for the nice drawing with the name of the meal written on it. 😃
