CHRISTmas 2025

Today is a day of obligation.  If you have attended the Christmas Mass last night, you have already observed the liturgical practice.  I only attended the online Mass last night because I am planning to attend the 10:30 AM Mass today.  Left the condominium around 9 AM with my RADO Captain Cook Automatic on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

I was dropped off at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel around 9:15 AM.  Late for the 9 AM Mass and very early for the 10:30 AM Mass.  So I positioned myself in the park which is near the vicinity of the chapel where I prayed my morning prayers.

When I heard the Mass was about to end, I started walking to the chapel so I could go to my favorite seat. 😀

I was able to join the community to pray the Rosary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Joel.

Last night's Gospel is the birth of Jesus, the nativity.

Today's Gospel is also about the birth of Jesus in a theological way.  The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

There are instances that the most beautiful and important gift you have received you have never opened.

Jesus is the most important gift this Christmas.  How do we respond to this gift?

  1. Be a GIVER.  Be a gift yourself.  Think of the widow who gave two (2) pennies at the temple.  What kind of gifts should we give?
    a)  Gift must be personal.  There is only one vowel in the word "gift"--that letter "i".  Do not allow the presents to replace the presence.
    b)  Gift should be total, not some.  All give some, only some give all.  When is a gift heartfelt? When it hurts when you give.
    c) Gift must be regular, not seasonal.  Our generosity must be regular, consistent.
  2. Be a GLIMMER.  Glibber is a tiny spark of light.  Even a tiny spark of light is a hope for someone in the dark.
  3. Be a GLOW.  Emanate in your person the goodness of God.  Emanate in your person the goodness of Christ.  You need to be saturated under the Son.  Thru regular prayer, spend time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, in silence with Jesus.
After the Mass, I was supposed to go to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  The Landmark would open at 12 noon.  Hmmm... While Glorietta opened much earlier.  So change of plans in my list.

Went to Glorietta 5 to go to Uniqlo to have the gift of my niece to Joven replaced from a Large size to a Medium Size.

Next, I took my lunch at Benny's Place at Rustan's.  It is my first time here.  I ordered their Tapa ni Benny, and Ripe Mango Juice.  It is good. 😃

From Greenbelt Chapel until I had my lunch, I have been giving out chocolates (Snickers) to guards, salespeople, etc. as my Christmas gift to them.  Before my chocolates ran out, I went to the shops I really plan to give chocolates to.

First stop is at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf where I usually hang-out to update my blog.

Next, went to Timex to ask for the user guide of the Marathon digital watch I gifted Joven (as I said, my gift theme this Christmas is watches) because he may have inadvertently threw it when he opened the gift.  I was only to take photos of the manual but they gave me one instead.  I gave them chocolates, too, as they are very accommodating when I purchased from them.

Next is at Dairy Queen where I have been buying ice cream recently.

And of course not to be forgotten, the friendly staff at the customer lounge/ restroom.

Now, I have only one left.  I was thinking of the lady manning the elevator at The Landmark.  I usually take the elevator when I go up to the chapel.  And  I was able to give her my gift.

The Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel is one of the Jubilee churches.  I hope to gain a plenary indulgence and I offer it to the souls in purgatory that had little desire for Heaven.

With all my business at the mall completed, proceeded home.
