Feast of Señor Nazareno

I left the condo around 10 AM with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right to attend the 12:15 Mass at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.

I was able to finish my morning prayers on the way to the chapel.

At the chapel, prayed the Precious Blood chaplet, the St. Gertrude Chaplet, the Auxilium Christianorum, and joined the community to pray the Rosary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Dave.

The Feast of the Nazareno is celebrated only in the Philippines.

We are reminded that the baby born in the manger will later be crucified on the cross. You cannot separate the Pasko ng Kapanganakan (Christmas) with the Pasko ng Pagkabuhay (Easter).

There are those who complain there is no food, when in fact, there is food but they just don't like it.

Reflect: If you don't have money, what do you have? If you don't have work, what do you have?

The very thing we complain about in life are gifts we failed to appreciate. And the things we complain about, others are happy to have.

Why do people try to touch the image of the Nazareno during the translacion? Because they have nothing but Christ.

Jesus became man for us to understand how blessed we are. Remember, in spite of our nothingness, how blessed we are.

After the Mass, I went to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. And my usual Friday restaurant is at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. Because it is a feast day, fasting/ abstinence will not be observed. Thus, decided to try their Kansi Sang Negros (PhP475.00). Ordered plain rice (PhP45.50), Adobong Kangkong without meat (PhP137.00), and Leche Flan (PhP95.00).

Passed by National Bookstore to check on rollerballs. Those with rollerballs are Parker, Cross, and Lamy.

Then, to Pacsafe at Glorietta 5. I wanted to buy a crossbody bag and wallet for use to our trip to Japan. I was able to get a 15% discount by using a Mastercard credit card.

Passed by Baguio Country Club to buy a half-loaf raisin bread before going home.
