The Landmark Food Center

First Saturday of June. Grocery day. Preventive maintenance for my HR-V.

The appointment for my HR-V is at 8:30 AM today.  But Edgar already brought the car yesterday that Lorenz, my service advisor, already prepared the necessary paperwork for its servicing ready for today.  It means, I don't have to leave really early.

But I think, I should have moved as if I am trying to beat the 8:30 AM.  It is my fault for panicking later since I wanted my First Saturday Devotion to be done smoothly.

My business at Honda Cars Makati is quick.  Got the statement from Lorenz, paid for it, gave the form to Edgar so he can pick the car later with no hassle.

Even finding a parking slot at Glorietta is a breeze. 🙏

Grocery at The Landmark Supermarket is a breeze, too.  Left Edgar to bring our groceries home after paying for it.

I walked my way to the Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  I was fifth in the queue to the confessional--boy, was I happy!

I should have known.  Each penitent spends 20 to 30 minutes at the confessional.  Did Father know there are many people in the queue?  I wanted to start my 15-minute meditation of The Nativity, but I was not able to concentrate.  The rosary as a community has started.  I was able to join the first two decades but I am not focusing... 😒  I was already thinking, if the Mass has started, I will ask the people to go ahead of me as I wanted to complete the Saturday Mass.  I have been asking Mama Mary to help me with the schedule.  Tee-hee!

The confessor is Fr. Froilan.  No wonder.  Aside from absolution, he is also giving guidance based on what you confessed.  Thank you! 🙏

I tried following the nature and number "formula" when confessing; but somehow, Fr. Froilan was able to pinpoint the cause.  So it can be venting...? Thus, the story just came out.  Now, that's three priests sharing the same wisdom.

I was able to finish around 11:45 AM that I still have time to do my 15-minute meditation.

The Mass presider is Fr. Paolo.

Fr. Paolo started by asking how do you envision your personal death?  Death is a reality of life.

In the previous Gospel, Peter will die a martyr's death 30 years after the statement of Jesus.  In today's Gospel, it is about the death of John the Beloved.  He will die a natural death.

The Apostle's allowed the love of God to envelopo their fear of death.

Ang takot mamatay ay takot mabuhay... nang may kabuluhan.

(L)ive (I)n (F)aith (E)veryday.

Life is not the length but the depth.  Life is not speed but substance.

After the Mass, I did not leave immediately.  Instead, I prayed the rosary and the act of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary--to complete my First Saturday Devotion.

Then, I went to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark, one of the Jubilee churches.  Hoping to gain a plenary indulgence and I offer it for Lily, my Nana's niece.

Since time is short, I decided to have my lunch at The Landmark Food Center, the store's food court.  When I eat here, I usually order the pork chop with egg (PhP120.00) at Chuck's Steaks and Chops. Besides, I ate lavishly yesterday. LOL.

And of course, to start this blog, I went to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf where I ordered a hot cafe latte.  Thanks to my intermittent cough, I have to avoid cold drinks for now.

I wanted to give my nephew and nieces the portable door lock, too, which they can use during their travels for added safety.  Passed by True Value to buy them before proceeding to Greenbelt Chapel.

The Mass presider is Fr. Ronaldo.

Pentecost is the birthday of the church.  It is hard to understand the Holy Spirit but we can experience its gifts.  It is given to those have the humility and accept it.

The proper attitude is not intellectual understanding only.  It is an attitude of humility, faith and love.  Whenever the Holy Spirit is present, there is understanding, love, humility, faith, forgiveness.

The Holy Spirit is the most beautiful give given to us by God.

After the Mass, I went to the hardware section of The Landmark to buy a rear view mirror.  The dashboard camera (a.k.a. dash cam) of my HR-V is already defective so I asked Honda Cars Makati to remove it.  I bought it there years ago and they were the ones who installed it.  Thus, I asked if they could remove it (safely instead of me).  They did--at no charge.  Thank you.

Anyway, I wanted the brand Broadway, similar to that installed in my Toyata Avanza.  I went to Blaze to check if they carry the brand.  They did not.

Instead of cake, I decided to buy cream puff at Beard Papa's.

Then, on my way home.
