First Saturday of June 2026

Supposed to leave at 8:30 AM from the condo for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist for my First Saturday Devotion.  Left late.  Wore my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.  Also wore my on Cloudhorizon 2 Waterproof with its lavander shoelace.

At around 9:30 AM, I was seventh in the queue for the confession.

Prayed the Act of Reparation for the first Saturdays of the month, meditated for 15 minutes the Assumption of our Our Lady, and joined the community to pray the Rosary.

I was also able to finish my morning prayers, and the Morning Prayer of The Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Lawrence.

We often focus on what stands out, great accomplishments, visible successes, etc.

But in the Gospel, Jesus observed the widow who gave the least amount--she gave from her property, she gave all that she has to live on, her livelihood.

The value is not in the coins but the love behind them. God looks not at the size of the gift but the heart of the giver.

Our faith is not about giving God our leftovers. Faith is placing our lives in His hands.

After the Mass, I went to Chili's.  This time, it is at their Greenbelt 5 branch.  This is their first branch in the area.  I ordered (again) their Country-Style Pork Belly and single-server Lemonade.  Oddly, I think the pork belly tastes better here.

I walked my way to The Landmark to visit the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel.  Then went to their food center where I started this blog.

Around 3 PM, I walked my way back to Greenbelt Chapel.  I was able to finish the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet.  Joined the community to pray the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass is Fr. Ronaldo.

It is the Feast of the Corpus Christi.

Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) we also call as Holy Eucharist, Holy Communion.  When we say "Amen" during communion,  it means "I believe".  The Holy Mass is a holy sending (the priest says "Go in peace...")

Celebration for our “meal” is the meal that will bring us salvation. No other meal can surpass it.

After the Mass, I proceeded to Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar for our food-to-go.  I asked Edgar, the driver, to go to Peri-Peri so I can give him my bags as well as the food to bring to the car.

Went to BPI to withdraw from their ATM and to The Landmark Food Center to buy at Poppy's Halo Halo and The Lasagna Manila.

Home.

John 6:51-58

51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

52
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?”

53
Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.

54
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

55
For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

56
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.

57
Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.

58
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
