First Saturday of August

Left the condo around 9 AM with my Omega Speedmaster 38 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on the right.  Will have to be  early for the first Saturday devotion.

The confessor is Fr. Alemar.

When I arrived, I was seventh in the queue.  While in the queue, prayed the Act of Reparation for the first Saturdays of the month, and meditated on the Joyful Mysteries' Annunciation for 15 minutes.

Joined the community to pray the Rosary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Paolo.

Truth is truth even if no one believes the truth. A lie is a lie even if everyone believes the lie.

Truth is like a lion. It does not need defenders. Let it loose and it will be defend itself.

The three faces of a person:

  • Face revealed to people.  Public face.
  • Face we reveal intimately to a small group of people.  Private face.
  • Face we do not reveal to others but known to God.  Personal face.  Face of truth.

Consequence of speaking the truth:  death.  John the Baptist stood as a conscience of Herod.

Conscience is God's built-in warning system.  Be very happy when your conscience hurts you. Be afraid when your conscience does not hurt or disturb you at all.

Truth is vital; but, without love, is fatal.

Truth is not used to hurt people but food to nourish people.

We beg the Lord for the spirit of truth that God's truth would truly comfort, console and also challenge and confront us.

We often ask "am I happy?"  The most important question is "am I free?"

After the Mass, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  For lunch, it will be Chili's at One Ayala.

Tostada Chips and Salsa

Strolled around Glorietta.  By 3 PM, walked my way to Greenbelt Chapel to attend the anticipated Mass.

The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Ronaldo.

Multiplication of the loaves. All Gospels wrote this miracle.

It is logical to send the people back. The apostles wanted is convenience. Convenience is the enemy of growth.

The way of God is participation , be involved, guidance, generosity, love.

There is no miracle in what is easy, what is practical, what is convenient. Challenge us to seek what is difficult, the risky, the way of the Lord.

Salvation came from the Cross.

"We only have 5 loaves and 2 fish"versus "We only need 5 loaves and 2 fish" because the Lord is with us.

Turn back from convenience to allow the Lord to make miracles in our lives.

After the Mass, went to Kaya for our food-to-go.

Passed by Cash and Carry Mall to buy ice cream at Dairy Queen before proceeding home.

Phobac

I would be attending the Friday Mass at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

On the way, I finished my morning prayers.  Joined the community to pray the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer, the Rosary, and the Angelus.

The Mass presider is Fr. Benny.

The Gospel is about Jesus going back to His hometown where He was rejected.  He did not make mighty deeds because of lack of faith.

Today is the Memorial of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

  1. Detachment in regards to how we look at God's creation.  Detach from power, fame, riches, etc.
  2. Contemplation prayer.  Read the Scripture, imagine it, and be part of the scene.
  3. Discernment.  It is knowing what to do and say in order to fulfill the will of God.  With the help of the Holy Spirit and God's grace.  You know your choice is God's will when you are in peace with your decision.
After the Mass, I visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  For lunch, ate at Phobac in Glorietta.  Ordered their Mixed Seafood Noodle.

Prayed the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet on the way home.

Groceries and Anticipated Mass

Grocery day!

Recently, I am late.  And today is no exception.  I left the condo almost lunch time with my Omega Speedmaster 38 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.  LOL.

After paying for our purchases, left Edgar, the driver, to bring the groceries home.

For lunch, ate at Yakiniku Like at Glorietta.  Visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Since there is still time before the anticipated Mass, went to The Landmark Food Center to watch YouTube.

The anticipated Mass Presider is Fr. Benchely.

Fr. Benchely

Why do we follow the Ten Commandments? To be included in the Kingdom of God.

Do we consider the Kingdom of God as a treasure? How?

1. Have an understanding heart that can distinguish right from wrong.

2. To have a heart that loves the Commandments of the Lord. "Piliin ang tama, totoo at dapat."

3. To have a heart that is ready to sell everything we have for the Kingdom of God.

After the Mass, went home.

Friday Mass

Again, left really late leaving the condo for the Friday Mass at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

Joined the community to pray the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer and the Rosary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Ryan.

Were you in a discussion with someone but you have not heard a single word?  Do we know how to listen, even to the Word of God?

Three categories of listeners:

  1. Drive thru listener. Let the message of the Lord go in one ear and out the other.
  2. Surface level listener. We listen but we do not let it transform us.
  3. Arm chair believer.  Listen and reflected but no action.

Think of the Word of God like food:  chew, swallow, digest.

We begin to bear fruit, produce that is something good.

After the Mass, visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.

For lunch, ate at Tenya Tempura Tendon  at Glorietta.

Anticipated Mass

Will be attending the 4:30 PM anticipated Mass at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenblet Chapel.  With Edgar, the driver is his son and his niece.  The latter was with them for a short vacation; thus, they would be strolling Greenbelt and Glorietta.

I was able to finish my Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet and joined the community to pray the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Benny.

Ministers should be ministers of hope.  The source of hope is God.

"Lord, You are good and forgiving."

Limitation of the parable:  The weed will remain a weed.  For men, evil men can change.

After the Mass, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  For food-to-go went to Peri-Peri.  Also proceeded to The Landmark Food Center to buy Poppy's halo-halo and The Lasagna Manila's extra small tray lasagna before going home.

Friday Mass

Truly late leaving the condo to attend the Mass at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  I thought I would not be able to join the community to pray the Rosary since I am really late.  Thank You for the "small" miracles since the community prayer started late.  These miracles are truly blessins.  As soon as I took my seat, a few minutes later, the community prayer started.

The Mass presider is Fr. Ronaldo.

Acceptance of not understanding everything should bring us to be compassionate and merciful.

"I desire mercy, not sacrifice."

Compassion is what we do outside of our plans, disturbs people.  Compassion invites us to dialogue, to listen, to humble.

After the Mass, I visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Ate at Racks for lunch.  Bought banana bread at Baguio Country Club.

My niece happens to be at the mall, too.  We met up and teased her for a free coffee.  Tried the newly opened Japanese coffee shop.

Racks

Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.  Was dropped off at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel for the Friday Mass.

I was able to finish my Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet and a decade of St. Gertrude chaplet.  Joined the community to pray the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer.

The Mass presider is Fr. Ramil.

Have you spoke incorrectly? Stumbled in your lines?

Spotlight effect. We tend to believe that people keep noticing our mistakes. In reality, most people are busy dealing with their own lives.

Sheep among wolves. He did not promise an easy life. But He said not to worry

Do not let the spotlight of fear be brighter than the light of God’s presence.

Stop focusing on what other people think. Instead focus on what God think about us.

In the end God’s approval is what matters.

After, I visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Went to the department store's supermarket to check if low fat milk is available.  Not available.  Then bought medicine at Mercy Drug.

For lunch, I went to Racks for lunch.  Ordered their new seafood meal.

Bought raisin bread of Baguio Country Club before proceeding home.

First Saturday of July

Something I should be improving on causes me to be late.  Left with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

I was dropped off at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  The queue to the confessional is quite long.  While in the queue, prayed the Act of Reparation, meditated on the Coronation of Our Lady, prayed the Rosary.  Since I was really late, I am not sure I would be able to finish my confession before the noon Mass.  I asked Mama Mary's help that I will be able to do so.  I also informed the person after me that if the Mass started and I am next in the queue, I will let her go ahead of me.

And... I was able to finish everything. By the time the noon Mass started, I have finished my penance.

It is a concelebrated Mass.

Do the wedding guests mourn when the bridegroom is with them?

John the Baptist already referred to Jesus as the Bridegroom. The "bridegroom" is the God who come to dwell with his people.

The bridge groom will be taken … Jesus sacrifices and passion.

The church continues to fast because we long to see His face.

Does my fasting (charity, prayer, etc.) bring me closer to Jesus? We fast not because we have to but because we love Him.

After the Mass, had lunch Chili's at Greenbelt 5, visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark, and watched YouTube at the department store's food center to while away the time.

Around 3 PM, walked my way back to Greenbelt Chapel to attend the anticipated Mass.

I was able to join the community to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Alemar.

Tired physically, emotionally, intellectually, psychologically.?  Rest in the Lord.

Ways to experience rest:

  1. Humble ourselves before the Lord.  Sometimes our restlessness because we are not humble enough to accept we are tired.
  2. "Come to me to those who labor and burdened."  Go to the Lord to find true rest.
  3. Let us live according to the Spirit.  Even our mortal bodies will live.  Living according to the flesh, we die.

After the Mass, went to manam to buy food-to-go.

Home.

First Friday of July

Left the condo late with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

I was dropped off by Edgar, the driver, at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Good thing, the prayers before the Mass has not yet started.  Left the religious items at the table where blessing will be performed by the priest after the Mass before going to my usual seat.

I was able to finish my morning prayers, the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet and joined the community to pray the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena,.

The Mass presider is Fr. Benny.

It is the Memorial of St. Thomas.

Thomas, although known for his doubts, is also known for his words “My Lord and my God”. He was able to transition to naming Jesus as God (from lack of faith to a believer).

Doubt in itself is not bad. Unless it is an absolute doubt wherein you are closed in thinking and feeling. There is the Filipino saying "Hirap gisingin ang nagtutulugan." It is an act of the will.

Doubt is based on experience and knowledge that does not conform. It makes us humble that will change our doubt into belief or confirm our doubt.

Thomas represented us who are unbelieving.

In science, to see is to believe.  In faith, one has to believe to see.

After the Mass, went to the table for the blessing.  We are only two who wanted our items blessed.  But he is interested in my religious items.  Learned that he is a seminarian and part of a deliverance ministry.  He mentioned it because of the stamp with the Benedictine Cross design as well as the triple wrap rosary bracelet.  I explained to him that normally rosary bracelets are one decade of the rosary but my rosary bracelet is for the whole rosary.  Missed my opportunity to ask him about his involvement in a deliverance ministry.

I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark, and had lunch at Chili's at One Ayala.

Home.

Avanza Preventive Maintenance

Already have an appointment for my Toyota Avanza's preventive maintenance at 10 AM for today.  Edgar, the driver, already brought the car yesterday at Toyota Mall of Asia.  Left really late that I arrived around 11 AM.  Actually, the car has been serviced and is already for pick-up.  Paid and left.  Edgar would be back later to pick-up the car.

Proceeded to The Landmark supermarket to buy our groceries.  After paying, left Edgar to bring home our purchases.

Visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel, lunch at Racks, and withdrew at BPI.  Then, proceeded to Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.

Prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary with the community before the (anticipated) Mass.

The Mass presider is Fr. Dave.

Anything you do for God, it will be rewarded.

The house of the parents is also the house of their children. But not all houses of their children is a house of their parents (not welcomed).  The money of parents is also money of children (spend for their children); but money of children is not a money of their parents.

After the Mass, I proceeded to Yakiniku Like where had dinner with my nieces and the boyfriend of one of them.  Then went to The Landmark Food Center to buy Poppy's and The Lasagna Manila to-go for my nieces.

Dropped my niece and her boyfriend at the bus terminal then went home.

Friday Mass

I would be attending the Friday noon Mass at the Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

Left later than usual.  Good thing, the prayers before the Mass has not started.  Was able to join the community to pray the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer.

The Mass presider is Fr. Marthy.

Today is the Memorial of Saint Jose Maria Escriva.

Upon waking up, what is your heart's desire?  You will put all your energies to what you desire.

"May you seek Christ, may you find Christ, may you love Christ." Seek Christ. Live in Christ. Love Christ (St. Jose Maria Escriva)

May my life be a life of gratitude.  To show gratitude, follow God's desire.

Even ordinary lives can be a path to holiness. (St. Jose Maria Escriva)

After, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  For lunch, went to Tenya Tempura Tendon.

Home.

Blooper

I received a reminder from Ziebart for the servicing of my Honda HR-V. Thus, I scheduled the servicing of my cars as follows:
June 13, HR-V preventive maintenance
June 20, HR-V rustproofing and interior detailing
June 27, Avanza preventive maintenance

Edgar, the driver, brought the HR-V earlier so it can be serviced already. I received the SMS from Ziebart and gave my approval.

On the way, saw that servicing was not started because it is still in-front of the shop. Good thing they didn’t. The senior personnel instructed not to start yet even I gave my “go” signal because based on their records my HR-V is scheduled for December yet. As I was about to pay, asked several questions. That’s when it is clarified that my Avanza is scheduled for mid-year and my HR-V for end of the year.

Left and was dropped off at Glorietta. Have my lunch at Yakiniku Like!, dessert at Red Mango which I brought it at 4th floor of Glorietta 4 where tables and chairs are available.  This is where I enjoyed the dessert and started this blog.

Visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Then, I walked my way to Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  I was able to finish my Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet devotion, and joined the community to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Benny.

The Gospel, in summary, God loves us so much that if you are faithful to Him we have nothing to fear.

The love of God must be appreciated by us.

What we have to fear most is that we will lose God, that we will be separated from Him.

After the Mass, I proceeded to Kaya to buy food-to-go.  While the food is being prepared, I strolled where I was able to buy a bag from Straightforward and raisin bread from Baguio Country Club.

Picked the food and proceeded home.

N.B.  These are the photos I took using the instant camera Kodak Mini Shot 2 Retro today.

Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Grocery day.  But first, went to Honda Makati.  They have transferred from Magallanes to Pasong Tamo Extension.  Edgar, the driver, already brought my Honda HR-V there last night for preventive maintenance.  Lorenz, my service advisor, already messaged me the services to be done with my car and how much.  Gave my approval so that they can already service it.  The appointment was at 9 AM but it was serviced around 8:30 AM when I gave my approval. Servicing will be completed around 2 PM.

Honda Makati at Pasong Tamo Extension

Left with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on right.  Wore also my on Cloudhorizon 2 Waterproof with lavander shoe lace.

We were serviced immediately.  Paid for the service so that Edgar will just have to pick-up the car.

We then went to Ayala Land to do our groceries at The Landmark.  It was also easy to find a parking slot.  Buying groceries is a breeze.  I brought several blessed rosary bracelets which I gave to the service crew at The Landmark Supermarket who are Catholics.  This is to ensure they will not throw this sacramental.  With the rosary bracelet is a gold foil sticker with the embossed Benedictine Cross.  After paying, left Edgar to bring home our purchases while I proceeded to the Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  I left the custom embossing stamp (Benedictine Cross) and holding cross at the table where the priest would bless these items after the Mass.

I was able to finish my morning prayers and the Precious Blood of Jesus Chaplet.  Joined the community to pray the Rosary and the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Ejay.

The Gospel is about Mary and Joseph realizing Jesus is missing. They did not stop searching. They did not surrender from confusion, continue searching (for truth).

Mama Mary's heart is completely focused to God; her heart is pure. Her heart seeks before it judges, listens before reacts, trusts God even if answers do not come immediately.

For us, it is easy to believe or swayed by fake news instead of analyzing and discerning.

Pray for wisdom before making judgment. Ask not what benefits oneself but what pleases God. Seek what is right and not what is convenient.

After the Mass, proceeded to the table for the blessing.  I was worried the priest will not bless the Benedictine Cross embosser stamp.  No questions were raised.  Fr. Ejay proceeded with the blessing.  Thank You! 🙏 Would the embossed Benedictine Cross gold foil sticker created by the embossing stamp considered blessed to?

Visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  And for lunch, it is either the Yakiniku Like (if I will be seated immediately) or Chili's at One Ayala.  There are many people waiting to be seated at Yakiniku Like, and for individuals, I would be sixth in queue.  Decided to eat at Chili's instead.

I would have ordered (again) Country-Style Pork Belly and single serve Lemonade.  But the server suggested that I take the "All For Me" where I can already have my choice of solo-size starter, soup or salad, solo-size entree, and beverage.  My choice is house salad, country-style pork belly and lemonade. 😆

Food Choices is still closed and being renovated.  But some tables were set up on the fourth floor of Glorietta 4.  Proceeded there and started this blog.

Around 3 PM, I walked my way to Greenbelt Chapel to attend the anticipated Mass passing by Office Warehouse at The Landmark to buy Elmer's Glue All.  Joined the community to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Ronaldo.

After several feasts, we're back to ordinary time.

The gospel is inviting us to go back to our identity.

Jesus saw what was happening. His response: Pray to the King of the harvest that He may send many laborers.

The 12 apostles are not perfect candidates. But the Lord chose them and gave the challenge to preach the Kingdom of God.  The same call is being given to us by the Lord, the same challenge.

The Gospel presents the situation the solution, and the challenge.

After the Mass, checked Flying Tiger Copenhagen, bought shingling at The Lord Stowe's Bakery, and went to Muji to check if they have a food wrap that fits the food wrap case I bought yesterday from the same store.  Not available.

Before proceeding home, passed by Cash and Carry Mall where I bought a small Mango Bene at Mary Grace Cafe and Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

Home.

Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I would be attending the noon Mass at the Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Left around 10:30 AM with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on the left wrist and my Apple watch on the right.  Wore my Yui Tabi shoes.

The relic of Saint Josemaria Escriva is at the chapel for veneration.

Saint Josemaria Escriva relic

Finished my morning prayers and joined the community to pray the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena and the Rosary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Marthy.

The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus reminds us how great God’s love is to us.

Whenever the Scripture is read, take note of the words of Jesus.

"Come to me."  This is Jesus' divine invitation in union with Him. It is a reminder that we belong to God.

Hands in prayer are like a mirror of uniting our hearts with Jesus.

After you have learned you are loved by Jesus and stayed with Him, you become divinely transformed.

Don’t take lightly the communion (Holy Eucharist) for He is united with you.

After the Mass, I went to Greenbelt 5 because I remembered that there is a pet store there.  I plan to buy a topper for Theo, the dog.  The pet store is no longer there.

Then, I visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Proceeded the supermarket to see if the non-fat milk is available.  Nope.  Went BPI to withdraw from their ATM.  The branch is closed since it is a holiday--Philippine Independence Day.

I decided to check the restaurants at Glorietta 3 for my late lunch.  There are a lot of people at the mall (and of course at restaurants) because of the holiday.  Saw Tasty Habit, which is beside a gym.  I decided to try it.  Ordered their Tofu and Mushroom protein meal.  Their promo because of the holiday is a free hot or cold Americano for any protein meal.

Tasty Habit's Tofu and Mushroom protein meal

For dessert, I went to Red Mango and tried their Strawberry Oreo Mochi, one of the two flavors for their Bingsu Froyo.

Red Mango's Strawberry Oreo Mochi

Since I intended to buy a probiotics topper for Theo, I went to Pet Express passing by SM Makati.  Supposedly I would be buying that of Canine Science but their probiotics is not available.  Made do with Perfect Paws.

Home.

Received the third custom embosser stamp I ordered via Lazada.  Bought it from the seller  where I ordered by first embosser stamp.  I prefer their craftmanship.  This time, the design is that of the Benedictine Medal. I wonder... would the embossed stamp considered blessed if the embosser itself has been blessed?

First Saturday of June 2026

Supposed to leave at 8:30 AM from the condo for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist for my First Saturday Devotion.  Left late.  Wore my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.  Also wore my on Cloudhorizon 2 Waterproof with its lavander shoelace.

At around 9:30 AM, I was seventh in the queue for the confession.

Prayed the Act of Reparation for the first Saturdays of the month, meditated for 15 minutes the Assumption of our Our Lady, and joined the community to pray the Rosary.

I was also able to finish my morning prayers, and the Morning Prayer of The Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Lawrence.

We often focus on what stands out, great accomplishments, visible successes, etc.

But in the Gospel, Jesus observed the widow who gave the least amount--she gave from her property, she gave all that she has to live on, her livelihood.

The value is not in the coins but the love behind them. God looks not at the size of the gift but the heart of the giver.

Our faith is not about giving God our leftovers. Faith is placing our lives in His hands.

After the Mass, I went to Chili's.  This time, it is at their Greenbelt 5 branch.  This is their first branch in the area.  I ordered (again) their Country-Style Pork Belly and single-server Lemonade.  Oddly, I think the pork belly tastes better here.

I walked my way to The Landmark to visit the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel.  Then went to their food center where I started this blog.

Around 3 PM, I walked my way back to Greenbelt Chapel.  I was able to finish the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet.  Joined the community to pray the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass is Fr. Ronaldo.

It is the Feast of the Corpus Christi.

Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) we also call as Holy Eucharist, Holy Communion.  When we say "Amen" during communion,  it means "I believe".  The Holy Mass is a holy sending (the priest says "Go in peace...")

Celebration for our “meal” is the meal that will bring us salvation. No other meal can surpass it.

After the Mass, I proceeded to Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar for our food-to-go.  I asked Edgar, the driver, to go to Peri-Peri so I can give him my bags as well as the food to bring to the car.

Went to BPI to withdraw from their ATM and to The Landmark Food Center to buy at Poppy's Halo Halo and The Lasagna Manila.

Home.

John 6:51-58

51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

52
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?”

53
Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.

54
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

55
For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

56
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.

57
Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.

58
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”

First Friday of June 2026

Left around 10 AM to go Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel to attend the First Friday noon Mass.  On my left wrist is my Tudor Black Bay 54 and my Apple watch on my right.  Wore YUI Tabi shoes.

I finished my morning prayers, the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet, and joined the community to pray the Rosary, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena.

The Mass presider is Fr. Joel.

Identity is very important to a person. Family, culture, education, thumbprint etc. mark our identity.

This is the same for Jesus—son of David. It speaks about His genealogy, His roots. The Messiah will come from the line of David is the common belief among the Jews.

The Messiah is not only the son of David but the son of God.

Why did Jesus raise this question? Because the Jews refuse to accept His identity—truly human and truly divine, without undermining one from the other.

To accept Jesus' humanity is to accept our capacity to be channels of goodness, etc.  To accept Jesus' divinity is to accept our capacity to be channels of His Grace.

After, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Passed by the store's supermarket.  Proceeded to Phobac for lunch.  Ordered their shrimp roll and seafood curry.

Home.

Sunday Mass

Since my niece used the services of Edgar, the driver, yesterday for her to attend a baptism, I did not attend the anticipated Mass.  Instead, I would be attending the 8:30 AM Mass at the Holy Family Parish Church.  Walked my way to church.

Normally, the Mass during this hour is in Tagalog.  But while the priest is walking toward the altar, noticed that he is a foreigner.  I wonder if it will be in Tagalog?  Nope.

Today is the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity.  Where there is love, there is the Holy Trinity.

After, since I would be buying one my medicines, I walked my way to Cash and Carry Mall.  Only the supermarket and some restaurants/ fast food are open.  Thus, I ate my breakfast at The Pancake House.  Ordered their classic pork tocino, and hot chocolate.

Then, I went to Mercury Drug to buy the medicine, cathedral window and packed laing at Goldilocks, and a magnifying glass at the National Bookstore.

Finally, I walked home.

Nanyang

Will attend the noon Friday Mass at the Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Left the condo with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.  Wore my Yui Tabi shoes.

On the way, finished my morning prayers.  Prayed the Little Office and joined the community to pray the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer.

The Mass presider is Fr. Ryan.

Some think that faith is like a magic wand--when we pray enough our problems are lifted away without lifting a finger.

For the Jewish people a mountain is a common figure of speech. It is a metaphor for incredibly complex problem in life, massive obstacles.

What are the mountains you have today?

Whatever you have asked in prayer, believe that you have received it. When we pray with faith, God transforms us. He grants us the knowledge, the wisdom, the capacity to overcome those mountains in our lives. He gives us the courage, the patience, the clarity, the humility.  The grace to do the work.  The map for the direction.

After, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. And for lunch, I went to Nanyang.  I ordered their Prawn Noodle Soup, Hainanese Kaya with Honey Traditional Toast, and Homemade Barley (warm).

Prawn Noodle Soup

Went to Straightforward to check bags on sale.  Left without buying anything.  LOL

Kaya To-Go

I will be attending the anticipated Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel; thus, left the condo around 2 PM with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right (double writing).

On the way, I finished my morning prayers.

I was dropped off at Greenbelt where I would be attending the Mass.  Joined the community to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary.

The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Richard.

Pentecost is considered the birthday of the Church.  After Easter, we are in the Ordinary Time, on the life of Jesus and His teachings.  This is the time when we can move on and perform our mission.

We are aware of the Spirit during the sacraments--baptism, confirmation, ordination (priest), the Holy Eucharist.

After the Mass, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Went to the store's supermarket to buy olive oil for Theo, the dog.  Brought my purchases to Edgar, the driver, at the parking lot and asked him to join me so he could wait for the food I ordered to-go.  Upon ordering and paying at Kaya, left Edgar and strolled around the mall.  I was actually looking for the hellolulu Nami Dumpling Bag, which I bought before at the The Travel Store.  I wanted to buy another color.  I use it as my instant camera bag.  Hehehe!  I have several instant cameras (including kids toy camera swith a thermal printer).  If I bring one, I usually place it in said puffy bag.  Did not find one.

Returned to Kaya.  Edgar is no longer there.  Thus, proceeded to the parking lot to go home.

Phobac, Again

I will be attending the noon Friday Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Grenbelt Chapel.  Left the condo around 10 AM with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.

On the way, thinking already where I would be having my (meatless) lunch.  This way, this thoughts would not pop-up during Mass and get distracted.  Decided to eat again at Phobac, and this time, try their Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet.  Last time, I tried their Seafood Curry.

I was able to finish my morning prayers, the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet, and joined the community to pray the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer and the Rosary.

The Mass presider is Fr. Godwin.

When we get hurt or hurt someone close to use, we experience guilt. Tendency is to distance or hide from them.  If we really value the relationship, do not distance ourselves.

Why did Jesus ask three times? When asked three times and responded the same, it means we have thought and committed our response.

Do our actions support what we are saying? Words nowadays are “cheaps”.

What does Peter's response mean (Lord you know everything. Lord you know I love You.)? What is certain, Jesus loves us.

Jesus is the face of the Father’s mercy

Then, proceeded to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.  Bought extra virgin oil at the department store's supermarket and went to Phobac.

Aside from the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, I ordered Spring Rolls (which I requested to be packed as it has meat) and Ripe Mango Shake.

Went to BPI to withdraw from their ATM and called Edgar, the driver, to pick me up.

Passed by Cash and Carry Mall before proceeding home where I bought a cathedral and viand at Goldilocks and ice cream at Dairy Queen.
