First Sunday Of Advent

I will just be attending the anticipated Mass at Sto. NiƱo de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.  Grocery day is last week (and next week).  I left the condominium around 3 PM, and was dropped off at Greenbelt.

The prayer leader is late that we were just able to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet as a community, and prayed short prayers before the Mass.

The Mass presider is Fr. Joel.

Jesus is brought to the desert for a retreat to prepare for His ministry.  We, too, are invited to go to the desert.

Lent is our annual spiritual check-up.  Where am I in a relationship with Jesus?

What to do?

Let us be (L)ed by the Spirit.  What do you feed? The good or the bad?  Be led by the Spirit, not by flesh.

(E)liminate pride.  Embrace humility.  Pride is a primordial sin.  Pride turns angels to devils.  Humility turns men to angels.

Let us be (N)ourished by the Scriptures.  Whenever Jesus was tempted, He answers with the Scriptures.

(T)ested by sacrifice.  Sacrifice = to make sacred.  Sacrifice is motivated by love.  On the other hand, suffering is without love.

After the Mass, went to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark which is one of the Jubilee churches.  Offered my plenary indulgence, if I am able to earn one, for my Lolo Gorio.

Then to the National Bookstore to buy bond paper, carbon paper and permanent marker.

Bought food-to-go at Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, cake at Mary Grace, and Frappuccino fix at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf before proceeding home.
