11-11-11
My movie weekend. But first, went to Claudette's to buy a tray of Cloud 9 cake.
11-11-11 is a horror, thriller movie about an atheist author who travels to Barcelona to see his sick father. While there, his beliefs were challenged.
Using the idea of the spirit guardians, the film is set on 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month with the entity from another world entering the earthly realm through Heaven's 11th gate. These entities were supposed to be angels. But they look scary. Which was used for the twist in the film.
Come to think of it, during our bonding last Thursday with the Tilak Hettige, since he invited us to his house for dinner, somehow we touched on the topic about angels. Sam mentioned that angels are not supposed to be the cute, chubby ones depicted on figurines and statues. Angels are magnificent beings--impressive figures who inspire awe.
After, had a late lunch at Food Choices and looked for the book of Fr. Syquia (Exorcism: Encounters with the Paranormal and the Occult). Affected by the movie? Hehehe!
Attended the anticipated Mass and dinner at Shakey's.
