Framed Shots: Hapinoy

It is our camera club's monthly meeting for March. The photo theme contest is "Hapinoy" (happy Pinoy). A mini-lecture on "Creative Shadows" was conducted.

Was dropped-off at Glorietta after the meeting. Since I did not have my weekly dose of movie yet, decided to watch The Devil Inside, a horror, thriller movie whose film style is patterned after the Paranormal Activity movies, this time telling about an exorcism story.

A woman whose mother was a victim of demonic possession travels to Italy to learn more about exorcism and to have it documented. She attends a series of unauthorized exorcisms, making her face to face with evil.

The movie's come-on is that it is "the film the Vatican doesn't want you to see". If it is because the film plays up on the presence of evil, I disagree. It is the devil who does not want its presence known for it makes mankind not to be vigilant and not to put up a fight against him (devil). If it is because of the two priests in the film who conducts exorcism without the blessing of the Church and in their opinion that this is so because of bureaucracy, well... they received their comeuppance with the transference.
