Memorial of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Again, left late to attend the anticipated Mass at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. Left with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.
On the way, finished my morning prayers.
I am really late because as soon as I arrive, the community is already praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Left the bangle with the Benedictine Medal at the table where the priest will bless them after the Mass. Joined the community to pray the Rosary.
While waiting for the anticipated Mass, what was projected on the screen is the Memorial of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thus, asked one of the ushers if the Mass I am attending is also the anticipated Mass. She concurred.
And Fr. Benny, the anticipated Mass presider, announced at the start of the Mass that the attending the today's Mass already met the obligation to attend Sunday Mass.
Dogma is the faith we believe. The Assumption is one of the Marian dogmas. Before a belief becomes a dogma, the people are asked.
The Feast we celebrate about Mary it is not just about her. We don’t stop with Mary. Any title of Mary leads us to the Lord or because of the Lord. She is the intercessor.
Why the Assumption? Iniakyat katawan at kaluluwa.
Mary, after completing her life on earth, she was assumed into heaven body and soul.
Mary is because Jesus is.
If we imitate what Mary did, we, too, can go to heaven.
After the Mass, I visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. Went to Healthy Options at Glorietta to buy Calcium Citrate. And for food-to-go at Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar and Crisha's Kitchen.
Home.
