2011 Eve

Waiting for 12 midnight, we sang ourselves hoarse. Safer and more fun than lighting firecrackers.

As belief, the dinner table already have food arranged (with rounded fruits for prosperity) before the year changes.

Tradition

It is Rizal Day. But because of the holiday economics being practiced, the holiday was declared last Monday. Thus, have to take a leave to continue with the tradition.

Tradition? It is the day I treat my nieces and nephews (also comes as my Christmas gift to them) to Enchanted Kingdom (EK).

Meeting place is at my aunt's house in Greenheights Subdivision, Paranaque. Plan is to leave her house by 8:30AM so that we would be at EK before it opens. When we arrived, most of my niece and nephews are there. It would be a four-car convoy. We are 23 all-in-all that will spend a fun day at EK.

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. Even with the rain, it did not dampen the mood of the group. We rode, laughed, ate and had a grand time! c",)

Christmas!!!

Our clan's Christmas reunion would be at my cousin's house in Alabang. Unlike last year where we ware able to hire a caterer, it would be potluck this time. There's prichon, lechon manok, pasta... even Yellow Cab pizza!

After lunch, waiting for the games to start, some of us were at my cousin's music room. Some sang, some danced. There was even a dance-off.

One thing is sure, everyone enjoyed the day.

Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Not keen on posting photos of people I know online. You never know who would use those photos. Thus, put a "mask" over their eyes... Hehehe!

Ayala Belens

Before going home, decided to do a detour and take photos of the Belen, the Christmas decors of office buildings depicting the birth of Jesus.

The Belens are the same as last year; except for the Belen at the Makati Stock Exchange.

Christmas Parties

Our office's camera club Christmas party (and awards night) would be after office. It would be held at the Garden Plaza Hotel, Manila. Hitched a ride to the venue.

My niece is also in a Christmas party with her College friends. Did not finish our party as we have to pick her up. Her party is in one of the houses at Policarpio Street. This street is known for the houses to be gaily decorated during the Christmas season.

Christmas Grocery

Brought groceries needed for our noche buena at The Landmark Supermarket. Many were already doing their groceries, just like me.

After, looked for something funny (minimum of PhP 50.00) for our office's camera club Christmas party. Did not sign-up but they already listed my name. Already bought my funny gift when I saw the walking smiley. It is the last item on stock. Bought it for myself. Hehehe!

Then, attended the anticipated Mass and had a quick dinner at Wendy's. We will be picked-up and go to the wake of the nephew of one of our friends. He is only 24 years old. He died because of bacteria (?).

While waiting for our ride, saw the fireworks display (the last part of it) at Ayala Center.

Delicious Chili's

It's a long delayed birthday treat for my friend. We had our lunch at Chili's. Had classic nachos and pasta.

Explore U.P. with Tilak

Today would be the 2nd of the Explore with Tilak series. We would be "exploring" the University of the Philippines (U.P.) campus in Diliman, Quezon City. Meet-up time is 6:30AM at the Oblation.

Met the Tilak Hettige at Shell gas station in McKinley. Dropped his wife at her office before proceeding to U.P.

U.P. is different at that early hours. There were mists, providing a different atmosphere for the campus. In fact, it inspired Tilak to come up with a poem. Did not care to hear it, though! LOL

After the photo walk, we had breakfast at Chocolate Kisses, also in the campus.

The rest of the day, spent my hours at Glorietta, completing my Christmas list.

Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Italianni's.

Mastering Infrared and Night Photography

Attended the workshop of Canon Ambassadors Mr. Edwin Martinez and Mr. Jay Jallorina on infrared and night photography. Was at Masas, Greenbelt by 9:30AM. Heard a lot of good reviews on their workshops, particularly Chasing Light. Hope I can attend that.

Started from 10AM to 10PM. One day of fun, learning experience. c",)
