Birding

Would be attending the February activity of our office's camera club.  This time, it would be seminar conducted by Mr. Ely Teehankee, Canon ambassador and known for his bird photography.  Learned a lot and you really need a lot of patience for this type of photography.

After the seminar, walked my way to Greenbelt where I had lunch at The Cafe Mediterranean.  For dessert, birthday cake remix at Cold Stone Creamery.  Decided to drop by at Garmin Concept Store and see if the vivosmart HR has already arrived.  Yes!  Used it immediately and left my vivosmart to have it repaired.  Unfortunately, my steps for the day would start at zero.  I would have to "recover" the 7,500 steps I already took.  Weh!  So, walked until the anticipated Mass.

After the anticipated Mass, had dinner at Luk Yuen and bought some groceries at The Landmark.

Gods Of Egypt

A holiday.  Already made a reservation at KARADA.  Since I have a coupon, I have a free 20 minute body treatment.  So, I would only be paying for my 45 minute AP (with a discount since it is a weekday).  Great!

After my treatment, bought a discounted movie ticket for Gods of Egypt and had lunch at Bistro Ravioli where I tried their chicken alfredo this time.  Since I still have time, just strolled around the mall ticking-off some small items in my list.

Back to my  movie. a mortal man team up with a fallen god to fight the oppressive god who stole the crown of Egypt from him.  The mortal also made a deal with the fallen god to bring his love back alive.  For gods, they should have human traits like greed, selfishness, etc.  There's humor.  Like it.

February Celebrants

It's time to treat the February birthday celebrants.  As usual, we would be meeting at SM Mall of Asia.  In order to optimize the time, already bought tickets for Zootopia while waiting for the rest of the group.  Originally, we are planning to watch Deadpool; but since Jofel brought along her daughter, it's Zootopia.

Since the group is already almost complete, while still queueing to buy the movie tickets, advised them to go to Gerry's Grill.  All went as scheduled.

And for the movie?  Everyone enjoyed it, young and old alike.

We parted ways.  But first, had an ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery and bought food to-go at Super Bowl of China before proceeding home.

Zootopia

Scheduled to go to my endocrinologist.  So, went to Makati Medical Center.  Picked-up first the result of my lab tests before proceeding to my doctor's clinic.  Good thing, no diabetes.  Hehehe!  But have high cholesterol.  Was given Lipitor 10mg to be taken before sleeping.

Then, walked my way to Ayala Center.  Since it is my movie weekend, bought discounted movie ticket for Zootopia.  Had Mongolian lunch at Food Choices, dessert of Chocolate Devotion at Cold Stone Creamery, bought a birthday gift at The Landmark.

Back to my movie.  A city of anthropomorphic animals have a rookie bunny cop and a fugitive con artist fox has to work together to uncover a conspiracy.  The movie is about prejudice, stereotype, friendship, determination all rolled into one.  Like!

After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Bistro Ravioli.  Bought some groceries before proceeding home.

Deadpool

Already made a reservation at KARADA.  As soon as the mall opened, went there.  Inquired first if it is possible to do the treatment given I have my monthly period. Have to cancel my reservation.

Since I am already at the mall, decided to watch a movie.  Bought discounted movie ticket for Deadpool.  Had an early lunch at Bistro Ravioli.  Then, just strolled around while waiting for my movie.

Deadpool tells the story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, after being subjected to a rogue experiment in his hope to cure him of cancer, left him with accelerated healing powers, adopting the alter ego Deadpool, an unconventional anti-hero.  Funny.  I wonder if he would eventually join the X-Men.

After the movie, have a late dessert of Peanut Butter Cup Perfection from Cold Stone Creamery before proceeding home.

Mall Hopping

Next is the annual Diamond Gloss, rustproofing and interior detailing for my car.  Have to be early as there is no appointment.  They only accept a number of cars which they can service for the day.  Edgar, the driver, will pick-up the car later after it has been serviced.

Went to SM Mall of Asia thinking that I would be getting the Geox jacket I ordered.  Wrong item.  To make up for it, have my lunch at El Pollo Loco.  And then, back to my fave mall, Glorietta.  For my dessert, tried Cold Stone Creamery's Founders Favorite.  If I have time, will try all their specials.  Weh!

Am really excited to get the Garmin vivosmart HR.  Went to their concept store just in case it arrived early.  Nah...

Attended the anticipated Mass, had dinner of breakfast (hehehe!) at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and groceries at The Landmark.

Year Of The Monkey 2016

A holiday.  Since I have not watched any movie this weekend, would do a movie marathon.  Weh!  But first, brought my car to Honda for its maintenance.  Edgar, the driver, will pick-up the car later.

As soon as I arrived at Glorietta, bought discounted movie tickets for Dirty Grandpa, and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies.  Had an early lunch at Italianni's.  My lunch was free (amounting to almost PhP600+) with bread to-go because I was "convinced" to avail of their Premiere Card.  Weh!  Since I still have time for my first screening, strolled.  Was able to buy a postcard depicting the Stations of the Cross at National Bookstore.

In "Dirty Grandpa", it is about a "bonding" between a grandfather and his grandson as the latter who was about to get married was tricked by his grandfather to drive him to Florida for a spring break.  Both learned from each other.  Supposedly funny but I am not laughing.  Sorry.

In "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", based it from Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" with the twist.  Used the characters of the novel depicting the issue on morals, manners, upbringing with the zombies attacking behind the scene.  Concept is similar to "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer".  Nice.  It redeemed my movie marathon.

Had merienda at Food Choices including two scoops of Baskin Robbins.  Went to The Landmark to buy a frame for the postcard of the Stations of the Cross I bought earlier.  Then proceeded home.

Camera Club

It is the first meeting for the year of my camera club.  It would be held at The Chamber of Fort Santiago.  Was the first to arrive.

Won't finish the meeting since the driver has to pick-up my niece at the airport.  Was dropped off at SM Mall of Asia to check the other branch of Geox.  Found the jacket but I need the largest size.  They will advise me if they will be able to get my size from their other branch.  If so, will pick it up next Saturday.

Passed by St. Paul's where I was able to buy some religious items including a pamphlet on The New Way of the Cross.  Says there is no prescribed prayers for the Benedictine Medal since the wearing and use of the Medal is considered a silent prayer to God to grant us, through the merits of St. Benedict, the favors we request.  However, for obtaining extraordinary favors, it is highly recommended to perform special devotions in honor of the holy Father St. Benedict, for instance, on Tuesday, on which day the Church commemorates the death of the holy Patriarch.  The Way of the Cross is highly recommended or a novena to St. Benedict.  His feast is celebrated March 21st, two days after the feast of St. Joseph.

Before leaving SM MOA, had merienda at El Pollo Loco of drumstick meal (with tortillas and salsa) plus arroz caldo.

In my fave mall, Glorietta, strolled; although, bought bone gnawler for my dogs.  Also, tried Cold Stone Creamery.  Fun watching them how they prepare the ice cream--quite a show.

Geox

Walked my way to Ayala Center.  It is drizzling and I am wearing my Geox sandals.  The problem with this, my feet got wet.  I wonder if I can look for a rubber shoes that is either waterproof or water repellant..?

Ticked-off small items from my list--like compact mirror and long-nosed pliers (to repair my bracelets, if any) at The Landmark, battery for Samsung Galaxy V which Lyn requested me to buy (was able to get PhP100.00 discount), have my photo entries printed at General Photo.  Passed by Geox, which is on sale.  The things I fancy don't have my size, which also includes the travel jacket (note to self, check other branches of Geox for the jacket).  Had lunch at Food Choices, went to Greenbelt to check the other Geox branch (where I was able to buy a rubber shoes at 50% off), double scoop with free topping at Baskin Robbins.

I was able to convince a friend to buy a Garmin activity tracker.  Decided to check out Garmin's Concept Store at Glorietta 5 and ask if my friend was able to buy one.  Also a good chance to check-out the vivosmart HR.  Also showed the sales clerk my vivosmart since there seems to have a problem with the display.  Was advised that it should be repaired and better to send it to Taiwan since it still has warranty; but, it would take two (2) months.  Oh, no!  I won't be able to join in my "Challenges".  Since I got my vivosmart August of last year, I lost two (2) kilos.  Learned that the vivosmart HR will arrive end of February.  Hmmm...  Seems like the vivosmart HR is meant to be.  Once I have it, will have my vivosmart repaired.

Left Glorietta 5 while Sarah Geronimo is singing to promote her new album to attend the anticipated Mass.  Had dinner at Pancake House.  Did some groceries before proceeding home.

Oh!  One of the golden girls who often attend the anticipated Mass at Glorietta gave me a heart-shaped lollipop as Valentine's gift.  Sweet.
