My movie weekend. Since
Monsters University is showing, there would surely be a long queue. Thus, decided to buy my ticket via
Sureseats.
Had a quick lunch of Mongolian bowl at
Food Choices before watching
The Heat.
A female FBI agent (Sandra Bullock) is forced to work with a female Boston detective (Melissa McCarthy) to investigate a drug empire. Funny. It is like a female version of
Bad Boys.
Dropped by
The Landmark to buy a pocket magnifying glass (for visually challenged) and bag hook.
Then, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Italianni's.
June Celebrants
The usual, my treat of lunch and a movie for the June birthday celebrants: my Nana, Tita Leony, Winston and Jofel (who is represented by Tita Puring).
Meet-up is the 2nd floor of
SM Mall of Asia (near
Bread Talk). Had our lunch at
Super Bowl of China as one of the celebrants preferred Chinese. And for the movie, watched
Man of Steel... in 3D.
World War Z
My movie weekend. But first bought a movie ticket (discounted--thanks to my BPI Amore Card), have our photos of our
Cuyab summer swim printed, lunch at
Food Choices; then, the movie.

World War Z (World War Zombie...?) is about a retired United Nations employee was asked to help investigate and somehow stop the zombie pandemic spreading throughout the world. From start to finish, you are hoping that the lead actor will not be bitten else we won't know the truth (was it the Egyptians...?) and how to control it. Hmmm... it, too, has the "ghosting" concept from
After Earth. LOL
Picked-up the photos, tried
Cupcakes by Sonja's red velvet vixen cupcake; then, attended the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
Soi.
Man Of Steel
Would be attending a seminar by Oracle. They are also sponsoring the
Man of Steel movie after the seminar.

It is a Superman movie! But this movie answers the many questions of why. Why Earth? Why Superman is affected by kryptonite? Why members of his alien race is after him? Obviously, the last part of the movie is action!!!!
Independence Day
Google also celebrate the Philippine Independence Day. Check out www.google.com.ph.
Should have been in Corregidor today but our office's camera club called-off the activity due to the weather. So decided to do some window-shopping and shopping. Ticked-off my "to do" list like paying bills, buy jacket, buy power pack (got me an 11000mAh) and not in the list (transmitter/ receiver).
After Sportsfest Earth
Today's the kick-off for our company's Sportsfest. It will be at
SM Arena and hosted by Drew Arellano. Several celebrities also graced the event (Richard Yap, Xian Lim and the Piolo Pascual).
Did not finish the programme and proceeded to
Glorietta to start my usual weekly haunt. LOL
Bought a discounted movie ticket for
After Earth (thanks to my BPI Amore card), had lunch of
Go Greek!'s lamb chop platter at
Food Choices, and checked out what
Samsung ATIV is.

A sci-fi, drama movie about the relationship of father and son. Humans settled to Nova Prime when they have to leave Earth due to cataclysmic event. Man have to weather the attacks of The Skrel, alien species who consider Nova Prime their sacred ground. A crash landing leaves Kitai Raige and his legendary father Cypher stranded on Earth. With his father critically injured, Kitai has to travel to reach their spaceship's tail to signal for help. Both have to work together and trust each other in order to go back home. For those expecting action often tied-up on sic-fi movies, may be disappointed. But there is action but is more of the relationship between father and son.
After, went to The Landmark to buy a gift for Nana, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Red Kimono.
Epic
My movie weekend is
Epic, an adventure, animation movie, about a battle deep in the forest among miniature people, unbeknownst to man. A young girl who finds herself shrunk to their size, get to understand his father when she became part of the people his father is obsessed to find and understand. I think that there can be a different ending for the movie; but, I like how the movie ended. Else, I would feel sorry for the father. Hehehehe!
Then, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Ling Nam.
