Maleficent
It got good reviews. They equate Maleficent = Magnificent. Thus, have to watch it. (My niece already watched it and she gives it a #ThumbsUp.)
So bought a discounted movie ticket for
Maleficent... in 3D. Since the screening is still at 2:40PM, had lunch at
Food Choices, have my entries for the monthly photo theme "Toys" printed, bought water at
Mercury Drug, and coin bank at
The Landmark where I will keep my PhP10.00 coins.
Maleficent is about the untold story of the iconic villain of "Sleeping Beauty", whose betrayal turned her pure heart to stone. Would you believe, I shed tears on one of the scenes? Angeline Jolie is Maleficent is magnificent! c",)
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
Bistro Ravioli, trying the Italian Sausage Ravioli in Romesco Sauce this time. Picked-up the photos I have printed. Passed by
MBT to see if they now have the Habari sandals.
My niece TXTed that she's going to
Glorietta. Went first to
SM to buy knee high stockings and met her at
Stradivarius. Almost all the stores are on sale!
On my way home, was stuck in traffic due to a
Santacruzan. It is the last day of the month and last day for it.
X-Men: Days of Future Past
Just have to watch the movie. And also, can't get the
MBT sandals out of my head.
So, borrowed Nana's card before proceeding to
Glorietta.
First, bought a discounted movie ticket for
X-Men: Days of Future Past. Next, went to MBT and bought me a Hanuni 3-Strap sandals. Wore it already and have my old sandals packed in the box instead.
Finally, had my breakfast (brunch) of Eggs Ben at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. (The
langaw is back!) Since still have time, went to
The Landmark to buy
Fern-C for me, Nana and Lyn. This is the only vitamin C I am used to (does not feel queasy when I take it). And my movie...
With the mutants joining together to fight the Sentinels developed to eradicate them, one of them has to be brought back to the past in order to stop the event which brought out this ruin. One has to be familiar with the other X-Men movies to have a grasp of what is happening. Like! No wonder the movie got rave reviews.
After the movie, went to
Shakey's, hoping to win the Mini Cooper. The promo is open only for dine-in. Have to buy Pizza 1954 and bottomless Coke. They called the pizza Pizza 1954 because it is the year Shakey's was established. Then, learned my niece will also be going to Glorietta. She followed suit for our
merienda.
Went home while my niece stayed to make
gala.

Photo Contests
Brought my camera. I intend to take photos for my entries to our camera club's monthly photo contest.
Also, would have loved to watch the
X-Men: Days of Future Past; but doing so, would be late for the anticipated Mass. Obviously, I would choose the Mass.
So, after eating a quick lunch of Mongolian at
Food Choices, walked my way to
The Landmark. Their toy section has an area which they allow kids to play. Will have to be inconspicuous when taking the photos.
On the way, saw an
MBT store. Hmmm.... There's a 20% discount for senior citizens. Hmmm..., again.
After I had my fill, walked my way to
Toys R Us. Took some shots, too.
Finally, my walk led me to
Glorietta 5 where I just sat down to enjoy the cool air-con.
After, attended the anticipated Mass. And for dinner, the restaurant I've been waiting try again since I tasted their Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli. This time, tried
Bistro Ravioli's Three Cheese Ravioli.

Glorietta 4 Park, which faces
Ascott Makati.
Flores de Mayo
Sundays is my rest day. Often, will have
merienda delivered or to-go. Have a
Shakey's pizza plus chicken with mojos delivered. Was hoping to join the promo wherein I could win a Mini Cooper. Unfortunately, it is only for dine-in or take-out.
Since it is May, often, there is Flores de Mayo or Santacruzan. Two passed our house today.
When I was young, was able to participate in one (along with my other cousins) in which my aunt organized the event. c",)
Oculus
After several weekends without movie, decided to watch one.
Brought my camera because I wanted to take photos for next month's photo theme: Toys. Am sure, many would be submitting forced perspective. And one of them is me! LOL
I wanted also to take photos of kids playing with their toys. But I'm not sure if parents would look kindly on me taking photos of their kids.
Went to
Infomax to buy the
Passport Sling. Then, bought a discounted movie ticket for
Oculus.
For lunch, wanted to try again something new. So went to
Bistro Ravioli and ordered Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli in Pesto Sauce, which the server recommended. Good try and I would be going back to try some more of their menu items. Yum!
Eleven years ago, sister and brother saw their father kill their mother with the brother killing the father to save his sister. They believe that their parents went mad because of the supernatural being residing in the mirror. With Oculus, it tries to show that you cannot trust your eyes--it is all about perception. Others might not like the movie with their idea for a horror film, but I like it.
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Modern Shanghai.
Holster
My mall weekend. My usual
gala, and this time, to enjoy the air-conditioning. The heat is tiring.
First, had lunch. Tried
Quiznos. It is sandwich for lunch. Similar to Subway.
No plans of watching a movie. Instead, look for a case for my mirrorless camera. It should be compact that I can put my camera in any bag but still protect it. Was eyeing the
Case Logic Day Holster, which I found on the internet.
So, went to
SM Makati who sells Case Logic. Yey! They have one. But the Day Holster for a compact system camera does not fit. So, got one for a dSLR.
Since learned that an officer is writing a memo to employees who do not observe the business attire, am afraid that my black jeans might get scrutinized. So went to
The Landmark to buy pants. Lucky, too, the store is on sale!
Checked out
Uniqlo if still on sale, and just chill it at
Glorietta 5 while waiting for the anticipated Mass.
After the anticipated Mass, had dinner at
Pancake House.
Olympus OM-D EM-1
Just finished reading the manual of
Olympus OM-D EM-1, which was delivered to me last Tuesday, May 6, 2014. This little baby packs a "wallop" under its hood. Will have to continually use it, read the manual and shoot, shoot, shoot to truly learn its features.
To sum up, LUV IT!
With its size and features, a very good travel companion. Come to think of it, maybe I should try again, every year, to visit at least one place I have never been to.

Sportsfest
It is the opening of our company's Sportsfest and it will be held at
SM Arena. A good excuse to go out of the house because of the heat. And to think, the
El Nino will start only in June?!
Got my shirt, my snacks and water, and stayed for a while to enjoy the air-conditioning. Weh!
Left by 11AM to have lunch at
El Pollo Loco at
SM Mall of Asia before proceeding to
Glorietta, my usual haunt.
Don't feel like watching the Spiderman movie... maybe after a few more weeks. Many are saying the movie is good. Went to
Uniqlo to buy some items on sale. That's when my niece followed suit. Bought her a pair of shorts and skirt she can use for office. She had her late lunch at
Pancake House and we proceeded to
Forever 21. After we separated. She went to
Bench, I went to
CD-R King. Then I proceeded to attend the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
Wee Nam Kee.
Labor Day
A holiday.
Since the heat is killing, decided to go to the mall. At least, won't jack up the electricity bills by having the air-con/ fan and the TV on the whole day. LOL
For lunch, decided again something new. A newly opened pizza joint called
Pizza Warehouse. Not bad. I have to still find something in their menu that I would go out of my way to eat again.
Was thinking of replacing my "gadget" bag, which is now being washed, so decided to stroll the mall for a possible replacement. Not in a hurry anyway.
The route was
Mercury Drug (for water),
Lacoste,
The Landmark,
Glorietta stores,
Rustan's,
Cotton On,
Uniqlo and back to Lacoste (hehehe!).
Had merienda at
Food Choices. Then, somehow, my feet brought me to
Ocampo's. Have been eyeing the round brilliant cut diamond earrings. Left both light on the pocket and on my feet. Weh!
Yesterday, picked-up the
Elite Card I bought for Nana, Lyn and Vangie. At least, they'll have unlimited free consultation with a physician, discounts, and free annual physical exam. Also, got a health card for my niece. The HMO is still processing it.
