Storage

Walked my way to Ayala Center.

Already have plans for the long weekend next week.  On November 1, we will visit our dearly departed.  On November 2, will pack the items we were able to recover from the fire (cameras, camera accessories, etc.) and store them in the storage locker rented by my niece.  But first, have to buy utility boxes.

Good thing, The Landmark is on sale (often is when nearing the payroll week).  So bought three 50L container at 10% off.  Just when already paid for it, saw a discounted one that is dust proof and water proof--good for my gear.  Thus, sent a message my niece since she also needed storage boxes.  She will buy the three I already bought and I will buy the dust- and water-proof one.  Hehehe!

Paid our electricity bill at Bayad Center in The Landmark, Mongolian lunch at Food Choices in Glorietta 4 and dessert at Tokyo Cheese Milk Factory.  Bought bubble wrap at National Bookstore and silica gel at True Value.

Attended the anticipated Mass.  Then had supper at The Landmark Food Center, bought groceries in its supermarket.

Since the sales lady of Mates Memory Foam informed me they have a store at SM MOA, went there hoping to buy a pillow case for its Med Incline Pillow.  Fake news!  Because I have to walk around looking for it, I reached about 15K steps!

Hair

Hair-pampering day.  Already made an appointment.  At 10AM, already at the Coco Grace Salon.

After, paid Meralco bill of Dolores at The Landmark's Bayad Center.  Had a late lunch at the department store's food center.  Since there is a cosmetic fair (discounts for cosmetics) at The Landmark, bought make-up just in case I decide to attend my aunt's birthday party.

Before proceeding home, called Greenwich pizza to deliver our merienda.  Brought with me my wireless headset "the better to hear with, my dear..."  c",)

Relic

Walked to Ayala Land.

Did not plan to watch a movie.  So, had a Mongolian lunch first at Food Choices.  Then, tried the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory for dessert.  I'll definitely go back!  c",)

Then, ticked-off the items on my list:

a)  Godex DX Capsule and Genteal Drops at Mercury Drug
b)  Candles at The Landmark (for the All Saints Day when I visit our dearly departed)
c)  Orocan utility container at SM (because the condo's water tank will have it's annual cleaning and there might be water disruption)

Attended the anticipated Mass.  The blood relic of Pope John Paul II from Poland is at Mary Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark.  Viewed the other relics of Padre Pio and Pope John Paul II.  Also picked-up the following message:

"We must never separate the cross from Jesus; otherwise, it would become a weight which in our weakness, we could not carry."

Had supper at The Landmark Food Center, bought groceries at The Landmark Supermarket; then, proceeded home.

Eye Check-Up

Have a 3PM appointment to my eye doctor.  But first, had lunch of Eggs Ben at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

Then, walked to Abesamis Eye Care Clinic at Medical Plaza Makati.  Arrived early from my scheduled appointment.  Verdict?  Have astigmatism, grade increased but I can have my eyeglasses replaced after six months, pre-cataract.  Tsk!  Tsk!  To manage, avoid UV rays (note to self, buy shades; my prescription glasses already has UV protection), don't smoke, lutein food supplement.  Bought from Lutax 20.

Walked to Ayala Center where I immediately went to LBC to get my refund from Lazada and have the handkerchief I used to venerate Padre Pio's heart relic sent to Vangie in Samar who has cancer.

Then, went to Owndays to buy shades.  Better use this whenever I go out.

Attended the anticipated Mass, we had dinner at Luk Yuen, bought groceries at The Landmark.  Then passed by SM Hypermart to buy the hand wash that is not anti-bacterial plus hanger before proceeding home.

Padre Pio Uncorrupted Heart Relic

Padre Pio's uncorrupted heart relic is at the Manila Cathedral.  Plan to go there.  Was dropped off at Chowking in Intramuros to use the rest room first then queued.

Bought a hanky which I can use to venerate and plan to send it to Vangie who has cancer.  Would have stuck but the way the lines are cut and there is really no proper queueing, around 12 noon, decided to quit.  Gave the hanky to the senior citizen infront of me instead, which I hope she can use.

Took a taxi to Glorietta to return the vivosmart HR+ that was supposedly repaired already.  It is still hanging and time is lagging.  Left it at Garmin Concept Store in Glorietta 5.

Decided to watch a movie before proceeding home. Bought a discounted movie ticket for Johnny English Strikes Again.  Bought food-to-go at Wendy's where I will eat my late lunch inside the theater.

When a cyber attach reveals the undercover identities of all British agents, Johnny English is forced out of retirement to find the master hacker.  Actually, it is his sidekick Jeremy who has the ideas/ plans to solve the case.  And luck is always on Johnny English's side.  Hehehe!  Action comedy.

After the movie, took a taxi home to rest.

Venom

I surprised the surprise of my nieces.  At 12 midnight, they brought my birthday cake from Conti's.  Few minutes before 12 midnight, got hungry that I have to go to the kitchen to get the Tim Tam from the refrigerator.  One of my nieces has her back to me and it sounded like she is eating.  Hehehe!  She was actually preparing the cake with candle.  LOL

Took my birthday leave.  Thus, instead of going to the office, was dropped off at Greenbelt where I went first to the Greenbelt chapel.  Although our house burned down, no one was hurt.  And thank You for this blessing.  Stayed a few around Greenbelt to take photos for my photo-a-day using my Instax SQ10.

Bought wet wipes at Daiso Japan, charging cable for my Canon N2 at Infomax before proceeding to Buffet 101 (where I already made a reservation last Sunday) to treat my staff.  Still have time, bought a discounted movie ticket for Venom.

Venom is an alien symbiote that must live in a host in order to survive Earth's atmosphere.  And this journalist is Eddie Brock who has able to acquire powers because of this alien symbiote, Venom.  Venom is an anti-hero.  He has to eat humans else he will be forced to eat/ destroy his host.  An agreement was made that only very bad people can be eaten.

After the movie, went to Garmin Concept Store at Glorietta 5 to pick-up the vivosmart HR+ I have repaired.  Took a taxi to Emerald Garden Restaurant to buy food for my birthday celebration at home.

Padre Pio Heart Pilgrimage

Today, would be going to the Philippine National Shrine of St. Padre Pio at St. Tomas, Batangas arranged by Green Faith Travels.  Last night, Padre Pio's incorrupt heart relic arrived.  We would be joining the 9AM concelebrated Mass presided over by Papal Nuncio Archibishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia.

Meet-up is at McDonald's Greenbelt.  Boarding time is 3:15AM.  Bus leaves 3:30AM.  An after thought, leaving very early is very good decision as we were able to go back and forth to venerate Padre Pio's heart as we are only allowed about 7 seconds with the relic.  And I have lots of hankies.  c",)

Was at the Shrine around 5AM.

For breakfast and lunch, it would be at Batanguenas.

We were left to our own devices.  Thus, was able to attend the 7AM Mass and the 9AM Concelebrated Mass in the presence of the incorrupt heart relic of St. Padre Pio.

After the 7AM Mass, wanted to go back to the Divine Mercy Chapel but there would be a procession from there to the Main Chapel in preparation for the 9AM Concelebrated Mass. Was along the path.

After lunch, walked our way to our bus to proceed to the Marian Orchard in Balate, Batangas.  Our Lady of Manaog is there.  It arrived yesterday morning.  Timing that Mama Mary and Padre Pio's heart is in Batangas at the same time.

Attended the anticipated Mass in the presence of Our Lady of Manaoag.

Left Batangas around 5PM to meet the targeted 8AM arrival at Greenbelt.

We are blessed.

Pray.  Hope.  Don't worry.
- Padre Pio
