The Lasagna Manila
Grocery day.
Left a bit late so that Edgar, the driver, who is not feeling well can extend rest a little. Left with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. Also wore my on Cloudhorizon 2 Waterproof.
After paying for the groceries at The Landmark Supermarket, I left Edgar to bring our purchases home. He will be back later to pick me up after the anticipated Mass.
Skipped the Saturday noon Mass and went for an early lunch at Yakiniku Like. Then, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. Walked my way to Glorietta 1 for a yogurt fix at Red Mango. Ate it at one of the tables of Glorietta 4's Food Choices.
Since there is still no The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Glorietta, and the dining area of Food Choices is closed and being renovated, I walked to The Landmark Food Center where I started today's blog.
When done, I walked my way to Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. I was able to join the community to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary.
The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Benny.
The challenge of our faith is to truly believe that Jesus has risen.
The Gospel tells how some of the disciples recognized the risen Lord. Jesus called Mary Magdalene's name. Peter was told to cast his net on the other side of the boat. Scriptures were explained to the walking disciples and Jesus broke the bread.
How can you see the risen Lord? We can experience the risen Lord anywhere, everyday… in the Mass
The Eucharist is the continuation of what happened in Calvary.
After the Mass, I went to The Landmark Food Center. Yesterday, when I bought Poppy's Halo Halo, I noticed the stall beside it--The Lasagna Manila. I wanted to try it, too, but it is a Friday. Thus, I will buy one today, instead, to have a taste.
I took photos using the kids camera I brought with me--myFirst Camera 10. The challenge is to take "creative" photos using a very basic camera.

Poppy's
Instead of the usual Friday activities, I have to-dos first to meet before attending the Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. Also wore my Yui Tabi Shoes.
First stop is at our Ortigas office. My separation papers will be released and it will only be available Wednesdays and Fridays from 9AM to 10AM. Must inform 2 days ahead if you are going so that they can prepare the papers. When I arrived, the small conference was already full. I have to wait for my turn. When I was able to get a seat, my papers were readily available. But the people who was there when I arrived, were still there when I left. The difference? I have already signed-off the quitclaim and waiver months before, while said document is still in front of them. They have a lot of questions, thinking whether they should be signing off now or later.
Second stop is at baby hub. I bought a kids camera via Lazada. The camera has issues in displaying and printing certain images (specifically night shots). I have coordinated with the (foreign) support. After several exchanges, the support recommended that I coordinate with the local reseller and have it replaced. After several exchanges with the local reseller, they advised that I have the item sent to them via Lalamove or Grab. The number of days the items can be returned via Lazada has already expired. Since our Ortigas office is few minutes away from Quezon Avenue, I decided to bring the item to baby hub and show to them the issue. I also printed the exchanges I have with the (foreign) support and the record of my Lazada purchase. Hopefully, it will be replaced.
And, finally, I was dropped off at Greenbelt Chapel.
The Mass presider is Fr. Benny.
The miracle of the feeding of 5000 men is the only miracle present in all the Gospels. This miracle is the view of what is to come in the Kingdom. When they get to heaven, they will be satisfied.
Bread of Life discourse will be the Gospel for six succeeding days. It is the Holy Eucharist.
The Eucharist is the continuation of what happened in Calvary. The salvation continues in every Eucharist.
The Eucharist is the testimony of His presence. He said He will always be with us.
The "gather the fragments" in the Gospel represent those who have served the Lord in his life. When you feel fragmented after serving the Lord, He will gather you and refresh you.
After, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. For lunch, it is at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. Then, I returned to The Landmark to go to Anson's to buy an induction stove. I asked Edgar, the driver, to meet me at Anson's so he can carry our purchase.
While I was having lunch and scrolling through the Swarm mobile application, noticed food reviews. There's this Poppy's Halo Halo at The Landmark Food Center. So, we went there to buy halo-halo to-go.
Passed by our Washington apartments on our way home to see the progress.
N.B. Edgar said that the halo-halo is masarap. Even Lyn concurs. I was able to taste after 12 midnight. It is true. But I don't like beans in my halo-halo. Good thing there are just a few beans.

Divine Mercy Sunday
I attended yesterday the anticipated Mass. But I wanted to attend the Mass today, too.
I was late in leaving the condo with my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical watch on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. It is 15 minutes before the 8:30 AM Mass at Holy Family Parish Church. Walked fast. Was able to reach it in roughly 5 minutes. 🙏
The Mass presider is Fr. John Ken a.k.a. Fr. JK. The Mass is in Tagalog.
When you give everything to Jesus, you will lose your "ego" but gain "goodness".
Walking back after the Mass, I was hoping to take a good photo. Brought with me my Kodak Mini Shot 2 Retro Instant Camera. Nope.
Passed by SM Hypermart. I was able to buy Meiji dark chocolate macadamia, Cloud 9 bite sizes, and blue Yakult.
Home.
Prayer on Divine Mercy Sunday (after confession and communion)
Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, You promised St. Faustina that the soul that has been to Confession [I have] and the soul that receives Holy Communion [I am] will receive the complete forgiveness of all sins and punishment. Lord, please give me this grace. Jesus, I trust in You.

Psalm 51
Tomorrow is Divine Mercy Sunday. The core promise of Divine Mercy Sunday is the complete forgiveness of all sins and punishments (temporal punishment due to sins) for those who receive the Holy Communion in a state of grace, with trust in the Divine Mercy, and after making a confession.
Thus, left the condo around 9 AM with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. Also wore my on shoes with the lavander (?) shoelaces. LOL
On the way to the Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel, Edgar, the driver, told me that Sintaro is asking to buy him an electric fan and radio. Sintaro was using the portable ceiling fan left by the security guard. It must have stopped working. Good thing, I bought before from Lazada a clip portable fan.✔ I asked Lyn to look for it at home (which she was able to) so that Edgar can get it and set it up at Sintaro's bed.
The confession at the chapel starts at 8 AM. When I arrived, I think I was between 10th to 12th in the queue.
The confessor is Fr. Everett.
After the sacrament of reconciliation, left and looked for the second request of Sintaro. I wanted that either you can use a battery or plugged in an electrical outlet.
But first, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. I was also able to buy the radio I wanted ✔ at the same department store. And it is 10% off!
I was also giving away blessed rosary bracelets to security guards, janitors, salesladies, etc. Unfortunately, I think the rosary bracelet I am giving away is for women use only.
Since I brought with me my Kodak Mini Shot 2 Retro Instant Camera, I took images that interested me. I forgot to set it to have a border. Tsk! Tsk!
I have already decided I'll be having lunch at Chili's. I ordered their Country-Style Pork Belly and Bottomless Lemonade. Like.

Went to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chapel at SM Makati. The Mass is already ongoing. I stayed outside where I prayed the Precious Blood of Jesus Chaplet.
Since The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the Glorietta is still closed and being renovated, I went to The Landmark Food Center so I can start this blog using my Chromebook.
Back at Greenbelt Chapel, I was able to pray the Divine Mercy Novena, joined the community to pray the Rosary.
The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Benny.
The Feast of the DIVINE Mercy.
We have a God always merciful from the very beginning.
Justice = you get what you deserve
Divine Mercy = you receive which you do not deserve
This feast reminds us that we should recognize God's mercy in us. But at the same time, we should be merciful to others; be agents of Divine Mercy to others.
After the Mass, proceeded to Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar to buy food-to-go. Although I have finished much earlier, I have to wait for Edgar because he has to pick up my niece around 6:30 PM and bring her to the mall.
As I was about to go inside the car, Edgar told me that the portable clip fan is no longer working. It smelt burnt. Must be affected by the day's heat. So, I asked Edgar to park the car and meet me at Anson's inside The Landmark. Bought a 3D stand electric fan. It is buy one, get one.
Home.
Psalm 51
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against you, you alone, have I sinned,
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are justified in your sentence
and blameless when you pass judgment.
5 Indeed, I was born guilty,
a sinner when my mother conceived me.
6 You desire truth in the inward being;
therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and put a new and right spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from your presence,
and do not take your holy spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and sustain in me a willing spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will return to you.
14 Deliver me from bloodshed, O God,
O God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing aloud of your deliverance.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 For you have no delight in sacrifice;
if I were to give a burnt offering, you would not be pleased.
17 The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure;
rebuild the walls of Jerusalem,
19 then you will delight in right sacrifices,
in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Tenya Tempura Tendon
I was delayed in leaving the condo to attend the Friday Mass as I have to wait for Dindo for the document I would be signing. In any case, I was not late at Sto. Niño de Paz Greenbelt Chapel as I was able to join the community to pray the Rosary, the Sacred Heart prayer and the Divine Mercy Novena.
Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.
The Mass presider is Fr. Sebastian.
The Easter season asks us not to focus our eyes on the tomb.
Sometimes it is hard to see the presence of the Lord if we are overwhelmed by our confusion, by discouragement. Sometimes it is hard to see His presence, but He is already journeying with us.
Jesus came not to condemn the apostles but to restore them.
The message of Easter is to give us new life, hope, and restoration.
After the Mass, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel.
Then, I went to The Landmark supermarket to buy Sensodyne toothpaste. ✔
For lunch, I went to Tenya Tempura Tendon. I tried this restaurant before and I am not happy with the food I ordered. I will give them a second chance. LOL. This time, I tried their Tempura Donburi (rice bowl) of Asakusa Special Tendon. Not bad.
I brought the OnePlus Pad Go 2 to buy a case for it and put a tempered glass/ screen protector. Both are not available at Digital Walker where I bought the item via their online store. Next option our the stalls. Since the tablet is not common here like the iPad, Samsung tablet or Huawei, there is no case and no tempered glass. Option is a "customized" screen protector. ✔
Went to BPI to withdraw then proceeded home.

Special Board Meeting
A special Board Meeting was called because of an offer or proposal that the people involved did not even respect Good Friday (sent me a message on Good Friday instead of praying and reflecting on the passion and death of Jesus). My cousin and I already made the necessary computations for presentation to the Board. Inaction on the proposal is already a decision; thus, it is best that it be presented already to the Board pending the appraisal report and get their decision.
The meeting is at 1 PM. I left the condo around 11:30 AM with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.
I am early. Thus, my cousin served lunch. LOL
Everything went smoothly. And the decision is unanimous. Thank You, Lord! We did not condone which I think is wrong and, I would think, stopped the other party from sinning.
Since I am low in my Vitamin D stock, I went to Glorietta to buy them at Healthy Options. Got the smallest bottle to avail of the senior citizen discount.
Then, I visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark where I prayed, too, the Divine Mercy Novena. Had frozen yogurt at Red Mango.
Thinking that Edgar might already be finished eating his late lunch, went to the parking lot. He's not there. So, I went to The Landmark Food Center where I found him. Bought siopao and siomai to-go at Hen Lin before proceeding home.

Teeth
I have an appointment with my lady dentist for 10 AM. Theo, the dog, was with me as it is also his schedule for grooming. The mall now opens at 11 AM. I was dropped off at Catipon Dental Clinic. Edgar, the driver, will bring Theo to Pet Express at SM Makati and go back for me.
Learned a lot from my dentist:
- Upon waking up, brush your teeth including the tongue. This way, to remove most the bacteria which accumulated in your mouth while you were sleeping.
- You only need to gargle with water after your breakfast unless you ate something sticky.
- Before sleeping, be sure to also floss. Dental floss is not only to remove tinga (food stuck between teeth) but also to scrape off dirt. Form a "C" with the floss and scrape off for each tooth. You can do this while watching TV, watching movie, streaming, etc.
- When brushing your teeth, angle the toothbrush 45 degrees, moving the brush in circular motion for each tooth. This is why it is recommended to use an electric toothbrush.
I was then dropped off at Glorietta while Edgar picks-up Theo and bring him home. Will call Edgar later to pick me up once I am done with my "business" at the mall.
Went to The Landmark to visit the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel. Also checked the department store if they carry an electric toothbrush. I have one but I don't know if it is still working. Saw one as well as replacement brushes. Hmm... Will check first the one I have at home to see if it is working. If not, will buy tomorrow since I will be going out of the house again.
Since I just had prophylaxis, I should eat at least an hour later. Thus, I strolled. My feet led me to
One Ayala. Decided to try a new restaurant and went through the mall floor by floor. Finally, I decided to try
Hawker Chan.
They have several combo meals. I chose their Roast Duck Mix-n-Match. The meat combination I selected is the Roasted Pork. Not bad. 😊
Went to Muji to see if any stationery will catch my eye. Nope.
I called Edgar to pick me up. Waited for a few. Hmmm.. no heavy traffic.

Easter Sunday
I would be attending the 8:30 AM Mass at the Holy Family Parish Church. Walked my way there with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.
The Mass presider is Fr. John Ken a.k.a. Fr. JK.
I brought with me a candle. Usually, during the renewal of Baptism, a candle is lit. No wonder I am the only one with a candle--candle will not be lit during the renewal.
I also had the rosary bracelets I plan to give away blessed.
On the way home, I passed by SM Hypermarket where I bought toasted mamon at Goldilocks. Being Easter, I planned to buy an ice cream for Theo, the dog. Thus, went to Pet Express. There are no frozen goods at the store.
Home.

Black Saturday
Grocery day. I would not be able to do my First Saturday devotion as it is Black Saturday.
I left the condo around 9:30 AM with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38mm on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. I changed my Apple watch strap to red strap as the Milanese loop previously attached to it broke. Wore my YUI Tabi shoes.
There are relatively fewer customers at The Landmark Supermarket. Thus, we were able to finish early. It is a long weekend starting Maundy Thursday and some seized this opportunity to go to their provinces. After paying for the groceries, I left Edgar, the driver to bring our purchases home. He'll just go back to pick me up later.
I was supposed to go to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel inside The Landmark but I was not able to do so because the department store now opens at 11 AM. Thus, I stayed at The Landmark Food Court waiting for 11 AM. Then an idea popped-up... the Mercury Drug at The Link should already be open; thus, I can buy medicines ✔ to replenish my stock.
Going back to The Landmark, I saw that Glorietta is already open even before 11 AM. Change of itinerary--will start at the Glorietta for the items in my list.
First stop is at open source by Beyond the Box. They don't carry Apple watch strap for Series 7 any more. Ditto for Digital Walker.
I decided to have my lunch first to make up for this disappointment (LOL). Ate at Yakiniku Like.
I would think that The Landmark would be open after my lunch, so I proceeded there to visit the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel.
I was looking for Pure It UF and RO filters. It is not available in the department store. Also looked for the Goody pony tail. There is one but it is multi-colored. I wanted black. Also bought a colored shoelace ✔ to put in my on Cloudhorizon 2. I bought the shoes for men as they are wider shoes. I wanted to change the shoelaces to make it a little "girly". LOL
 |
| on Cloudhorizon Waterproof with lavander and grey shoelaces |
Next, I went to Greenbelt 4 for Tod's. My niece requested that I check the availability of a specific belt. Their boss gifted my other niece with said belt. But when she went to Canada for a business trip, the belt was stolen from inside her luggage at the airport (?). Her boss wanted to give her again the belt. It is not available.
Went to Digital Walker at Greenbelt 5 to check for the Apple watch strap. Not available. Went to PowerMac at Greenbelt 3. I was able to buy one--not the Apple Milanese loop (worth PhP5,000.00+) but from another brand (worth PhP2,000.00+). ✔
Checked Muji, which is beside PowerMac. The Muji at Glorietta is much, much nicer.
I walked my way back to Glorietta to have a Red Mango frozen yogurt. Ate it at Food Choices. Then, I proceeded to SM Makati where I was able to buy the black Goody pony tail. ✔ The water filter is also not available here.
Checked True Value and Automatic Centre for the filter. Not available. It is at Abenson where I was able to find one. Pure It is now Truliva. ✔ But the filters are pre-order, that is, I have to pay and pick the items at a later date. Did just that.
At the Glorietta 2 Activity Center, there are pop-up stores. I was able to buy a bracelet with Benedictine Medal at My Journey PH. I will have it blessed.
At home, prepared the candle I would be bringing tomorrow for the Easter Sunday Mass.

Seven Last Words
Prayer for Good Friday
(You may pray this prayer 33 times between 1PM-3PM for your personal intentions and needs.)
Oh, sweet Jesus, I humbly beseech Thee, by the merits of Thy Precious Blood and by Thy Divine Heart and through the intercession of Thy cruel death, to assist me in my pressing necessity. Amen.

my pain, my afflictions,
the causes of my discomfort and anguish,
and the worries of tomorrow,
O Lord, I leave it all to You.
I leave everything into Your hands:
the heavy burden I once had to bear
my tears, my hopes,
and the shape of my future,
O Lord, I leave it all to You.
I leave everything into Your hands:

life or death,
sickness or health,
beginning or end.
O Lord, I leave it all to You.
