Hua Mulan

Hair-pampering day.

Already had an appointment with Lita at Coco Grace Salon.  But first, went to The Landmark to pay bills at the Bayad Center.

Already set my mind to go to SM Megamall to have my wooden massage comb repaired.  Hua Mulan  have branches at SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, etc.

After, went to Rustan's Supermarket to buy walnuts.  In my mind, if I see available taxi at taxi stand, it means I would be going to SM Megamall.  There is.  Took the taxi.

Left my comb to have it repaired, had lunch at El Pollo Loco and took again a taxi back home.

Eye

It is my scheduled eye check-up.  But first, had lunch at Tokyo Tokyo.  Since early for my appointment, went to Makati Medical Center to while away the time.

Went to Abesamis Eye Care Center.  There were lots of patient.  Will have to replace my eyeglasses...

Walked to Ayala Center passing by Starbucks for a frappe.

Attended the anticipated Mass at Mary Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark, we had dinner at Bistro Ravioli, bought groceries at The Landmark Supermarket.

We then went to Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to pick-up my niece.

Easter Sunday

Already bought discounted tickets for Splash Island.  This would be our summer outing with my "angels".  With me are Lyn, Vanie, Edgar (the driver) with his two kids and WinVan (Vangie's only son).  My niece will be the taong bahay with the dogs.

It is actually only a 30 minute drive to Splash Island (without traffic), but we will have breakfast at McDonald's along the way.  Besides, Splash Island will open around 8AM.  So was picked-up around 6AM.

Took note when the slides will open so that we would be able to try all of them.  Everyone enjoyed the day.

Left around 3PM as I would be attending the 4PM Mass.  Attended the Easter Mass at St. John Bosco Parish Church.

Walked to Walter Mart to window shop a bit before proceeding home.

Black Saturday

Yesterday, stayed at home.  Started the Novena for the Divine Mercy.  Also, printed my list of senators for the coming election.  Have them wrapped in plastic bag (to "fight" rain) and have them posted tomorrow.  You are not supposed to campaign during Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

After dropping off Lyn, went to our property in Pasay where I posted my bond paper sized "handmade" poster.  Also posted the same at the Corporation's Zamora property.

Went to Bonifacio Global City hoping to buy the Tiger Sugar milk tea.  The store is still closed and will open at 11AM.  Decided to go to Glorietta instead.

Will not be watching but buy a few in my list.

a) Pony tail which can get wet.  Will be using it during our swim tomorrow at Splash Island.  Was able to buy one at SM Makati.

b) Bose speaker.  But since I went first to Rustan's where I saw the Bang & Olufsen was in a quandary what to buy.  Decided to have lunch first (at The Landmark Food Court) and search the internet for reviews between the two.  Went back to Rustan's to buy the BeoPlay.

c) Walnut at Rustan's supermarket.

d) Books at National Bookstore.

With nothing more to do, the driver arrived with Lyn, bought groceries and went back to BGC for the Tiger Sugar.  We queued for one (1) hour to buy the milk tea.  Preferred the taste of Tiger Sugar at Taiwan.

Maundy Thursday

Our Maundy Thursday would be unlike before.  My "angels" and I with the driver and his kids would be observing the Visita Iglesia.  I have already identified the churches we would be visiting for the Stations of the Cross.

Manila Cathedral at Intramuros, Manila for our first and second station.  When we arrived, there will be a Mass.

Then, walked our way to San Agustin Church for our third and fourth station.

We, then, had our breakfast at Chowking before proceeding to our third church.

For our fifth and sixth station, Malate Church.

We proceeded to Archdiocesan Shrine of Jesus, The Way, The Truth and The Life at Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

Our ninth and tenth station is at the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Church.

Then, to Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish Church for our eleventh and twelfth station.  Previously, this is the only church we go to for the Stations of the Cross during Maundy Thursday for it is walking distance from our house.

And finally, the last two stations is at St. John Bosco Parish Church at Makati City.

We went back to Malate, Manila to have our lunch at The Aristocrat.

CCTV

My uncle asked that I put on additional CCTV at our Zamora parking because there was an intruder who attempted to go inside the warehouse.  Good thing a neighbour saw the person and shouted to get attention.

Ordered it via Lazada and received it the following day.  Set them up in preparation to putting them up at Zamora (I only have to modify the WiFi modem it would connect to when it is installed there).

So, with Lyn, was picked-up by the driver to go to Zamora.  Setting the CCTV up is a breeze.  Thus, there was time for me to visit Vangie.

After, went to Glorietta where we had lunch at Pancake House.  Then went to Jollibee to buy food to go for our meryenda at home.  Left them there so I can buy the items the reason we went first to Glorietta instead of proceeding directly home.  Bought walnut not just for me but also for Vangie (learned nuts is good for her and that the white of hard-boiled egg is good for manas--to be eaten before every meal).  Also bought vitamin B complex at Healthy Options.

Sale

Walked to Ayala Center via Dela Rosa elevated walkway.  But, first stopped at Tito Pak's for lunch.

The first department store or mall you will reach is The Landmark (if you will not divert to Greenbelt 5).  The store is on sale!  Can't think of what to buy... yet.

Went to Glorietta to tick-off items on my list.  No plans of watching a movie.  Mercury Drug... Starbucks... SM Makati (on sale)... True Value... and back to The Landmark where I was able to buy rechargeable fan (because of the announcement of rotating power interruption) and rechargeable dimmable lamp at a discount.  Even in it's original price, it is much much cheaper in The Landmark than at SM.

Attended the anticipated Mass at Mary Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark.  The Landmark is giving free one palaspas per family.  I already bought two (one for the condo and one for Dolores) and brought it me when I went to the mall.

Have dinner at Luk Yuen, bought groceries at The Landmark Supermarket before proceeding home.

Shazam! Valor Day

A holiday; thus, no work.

As usual, will be at the mall.  As soon as I was dropped-off at Glorietta, bought discounted movie ticket for Shazam!

So, lunch at The Landmark Food Center, bought water at The Landmark Supermarket before proceeding to the cinema.

Billy Batson, a 14-year old, goes from one foster home to another in search for his real mother.  Then, one day, a wizard brought him to his lair in search of his "champion", to transfer his powers and stop the deadly evil forces.  An adult superhero that is still a kid at heart.  Like!

While doing window-shopping, guess who I saw?  Tilak!  Talked and kept each other updated.  Unfortunately, he has to meet someone so he has to go.

Was thinking of buying a hiking sandal that I can use to alternate with the other sandal (MBT) I already own.  Went to Merrell at Glorietta.  I have specific criteria for sandals.  Although the ladies sandal fits my criteria, was a bit uncomfortable with the hook on the right.  Decided to check the sandals of Columbia.

Went to Columbia at Greenbelt 5.  Hmmm.... preferred the Merrell sandals.

Tried the ladies sandals again.  Decided to buy the men's sandals; but unfortunately my size is not available.  Thus, tried The Landmark, SM Makati and finally at Royal Sporting House where I was able to buy one.  Yes!

Toyota, X-Ray Result

As planned, went to Toyota Makati.  Lucky for the one who took notice of us when we went to the showroom (maybe my ordinary T-shirt and maong capri pants is not impressive enough), she got a sale.

Will get a PhP30,000 price off (so it is like buying an automatic Avanza for the price of a manual transmission), almost half the price for the comprehensive insurance, free LTO plus the usual freebies.  Paid the reservation fee.

Then, went to Makati Medical Center to get the result of my X-ray and give a copy to my doctor.

Sacralized L5 otherwise normal lumbosacral spine.

Got an SMS from my brother that the itinerary has to change.  I was supposed to be dropped-off at Glorietta so that the driver can now service my niece by 1PM.  Instead, have to pass by the seamstress to get the address, go to Dolores to put the items he is looking for inside a locked bodega, buy a new SIM for the driver.  Went to the condo to pick-up my niece and set-up the new SIM.

Dropped my niece at BGC, was dropped at Glorietta and the driver will go back to my niece.

Bought items on my list, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Phobac.

Ooopss... when the driver went online using the mall's free hotspot, his new number was reflected in Viber.  Informed my niece who bought a new SIM and gave instructions what to do so that it will not reflect in Viber.  Hayyy....

The story continues...

While at Toyota, my driver received an SMS from the second wife instructing him that after me, he proceeds to their house.  Obviously, the driver informed me.  My reaction? "ANG KAPAL!!!"  The driver has the wit to close his mobile phones.  Have been telling him to change his mobile number.

While at Makati Medical Center, received an SMS from my brother informing me that he asked Yayay to inventory his things (actually one on his list is mine for I paid for it) in Dolores and Edgar is not answering.  Told him the two items are in Dolores, the Santa Claus was at the seamstress at Filmore for they have it repaired.  They asked for the address.  I said, "Hindi alam ni Teresita kung saan pinagawa?"  Learned later from the driver that said seamstress is also going to their house.  Advised to have Yayay go to Dolores tomorrow and will tell Edgar to be there.

So, went to the seamstress to get the exact address.  TXTed the address and the amount.  My brother requested if possible that Edgar still to get the Santa Claus.  Just to end this issue, said yed.  Then to Dolores to put the items to be "inventoried" in lock and key.  Only Yayay and I have the key.  Advised the guard to ensure any item brought in or out should be logged.

The story continues the following day...

When I saw Yayay and Edgar in Dolores remotely via the IP camera I installed, captured a screenshot and sent it to my brother via Viber and informed him that both are in Dolores.  My purpose?  So that they will know that I have installed a CCTV there without them knowing.  And any shenanigans the second wife is planning to do, she should think twice.

Also informed him that since Yayay is already there, they will pick-up the Santa Claus, bring it to their house with Yayay bringing the item inside.  Indirectly, they would know that the reason Edgar is not going inside their house is because of my instruction.  They can easily say he stole something when he went inside.

Guess what?  Another harsh message from the second wife to the second to the last mobile number (the number shown in Viber) was sent again.

My plan?  I will send a picture of it to my brother via Viber with the advise that his daughter actually bought another SIM (she did, from my suki) when we learned that the new number of Edgar was reflected in Viber when he went online yesterday.  My niece even went to the extent of setting it up so that the latest number will not be reflected in Viber.

Doctors

Woke with back pain.  Always had but this is different.  I think I need to have it checked.  I have been experiencing back pain for months.  Only performed stretching hoping that this will cure my back pain.  It is only with the pain in the neck when I was brought to the emergency room.

So, did not report for work but instead went to Makati Medical Center.  Went first to my two doctors (Dr. Aguirre, gastroenterologist and Dr. Anson, nephrologist) to be listed.  My gastroenterologist will be back mid-May.

Went to Maxicare to be referred to an orthopaedic surgeon.  Requested that it be the doctor who looked at me last year, Dr. Kanapi.  He asked that I have a lumbar x-ray.  Which I did.  He said it is OK to get the CD first and bring it back to him.  Else, I can only get the result tomorrow at 11:30AM.  Which I did.  He, then, interpreted the result.

Had lunch at Cafe France inside the hospital.  Since Dr. Anson's clinic starts at 4PM, just remained at the hospital to wait.  He gave me maintenance medicine--vitamin D.

Walked to Ayala Center via Dela Rosa elevated walkway.  Went to Healthy Options to buy the medicine (prefer to buy vitamins here than commercial drug store).  Also bought water shoes which I will be using for Splash Island.  Already bought a discounted ticket for it.  Had Starbucks frappe before going home.

Finally, one of my projects got implemented last April 3.  Should have been last March 20, but back-out was called for irrational reason.

A story...

The driver's services was shared.  This "sharing" always impacts me because the driver arrives late to pick me up.  Because of how they treat him, he resigned.  And I am willing to get his service in full so he will just be servicing me and my nieces. That was December 2018.  But because I feel sorry, I told that he will still service them until March 2019 while the kids still have classes.

This second wife, who cannot move on, for her plans to have him removed from the house where his family is staying (BTW owned by our family corporation) and for him to be out of work did not materialise.  I hired him and his family continues to stay in the house.

This second wife is known for making stories if a household help leaves them, either they stole something, etc.

It is April 2019, and I thought everything would be smooth.  This second wife sent an SMS message again to my driver.  Aside from harsh words, she compared the agreement they have with their new driver. This new driver used to be our driver and I never liked him.  I even think that he is the reason my Honda Civic deteriorated the way he drove it.

* They doubled the salary.  If they can do that, how come they need to have the driver's service shared?
* The working hours of the new driver is from 7AM to 7PM--and with overtime pay.  I guess you now know how my driver now used to work for them... even up to the wee hours of the early morning.
* They will also provide a cellphone load to the new driver.
* They will give him a motorcycle for service.  Wait until they see my new Toyota Avanza which we will use as a service car for me, my nieces and my "angels".

And the message has threat to it.  Planning to have him removed from my service?  That he stole something from them?  We'll see...

Note: The reason I am willing to "protect" my driver is because the way he supported us during the fire until me, my nieces and "angels" were able to adjust.  My nieces have also good words for him.  We know he is talkative but I think this second wife is afraid he knows something "controversial" about her that he might talk.  He does not have to--I already know.  Even the "dirt" about her mother and sister.  Also that this second wife got imprisoned in Singapore?  I should know, I helped pay the lawyer to have her released.  Actually, their new driver was still working for us when she got jailed in Singapore.
