Bad Genius

My third anti-rabies shot.  Went to MyHealth for this.

Then, was dropped-off at Greenbelt 1.  Received an SMS that Sun Cellular now offers LTE, and SIM swap for LTE would be free.  Was thinking that I would be able to swap my broadband SIM.  Nah!  The LTE SIM is only for the regular SIM (call, text).  They have no plans of upgrading their broadband SIM to LTE because they are pushing for the Smart LTE broadband (which has no unlimited data plan).  Since I was already there, still have my regular SIM swapped for LTE-capable SIM.

Walked my way to Glorietta.  Plan to watch Bad Genius.  It got good reviews.  Bought the ticket, loaded-up my mPass, Mongolian lunch at Food Choices, and dessert at Baskin Robbins.  Note to self: Buy a fresh pack ice cream before going home to avail of the 31% discount.

Since I still have time, went to Glorietta 5 to check the sale items at Pacsafe Flagship Store.  Bought a pocketable parka at Uniqlo.

Back to my movie.

Lyn, a genius high school student earns money by cheating tests.  Then, it goes to international level. Unique heist movie.

Bought the fresh pack ice cream at 31% discount, passed by Pet Express, before proceeding home.

Medical Test

D-day for ruling out the big C (cancer).  Took a leave for I already set an appointment for the test.

As soon as I arrived, have me listed for my doctor; then, proceeded for the ultrasound.  My schedule is 11AM but was there around 9AM.

The result is good.  (God is good!)

What was being monitored is the thickness of my endometrium:  The endometrium has a thickness of 0.4cm, is hyperechoic, with intact subendometrial halo.

(The apple cider vinegar must have worked!)

Thick endometrium might indicate cancer.

Had lunch at Tokyo Tokyo, loaded up LoadXtreme at nearby bank, and proceeded to my doctor's clinic.  Will have another medical test around January 2018.

Walked my way to Ayala Center, went to the chapel inside The Landmark, bought some items before proceeding home.

Decided to take my anti-rabies shots at MyHealth.

Originally, was thinking of buying the medicine and go to Maxicare to have the doctor there inject it for me.  But given the hassle, decided to go to MyHealth instead.  Besides, MyHealth is open even on holidays, October 31, which is for my third shot.

Thor: Ragnarok

Walked my way to Ayala Center.  Did not time my walk this time because I have my monthly period. While walking, bought a movie ticket for Thor: Ragnarok online.

Bought lunch to-go at Wendy's.  Will eat it inside the cinema.

Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe and he must go back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok, the prophecy of the destruction of his homeworld and the end of the Asgardian civilization.  The all-powerful threat is Hela, Thor's older sister (and rightful heir?).  The film is funny and cute.  #ThumbsUp

After, attended the anticipated Mass and I had dinner of Saigon noodle soup at Phobac.  Bought walnuts at Rustan's supermarket and groceries at The Landmark before proceeding home.

Dog Bite

Last night, inadvertently stepped on my niece's dog, Theo.  Boy! did I get a bite.  He bit me at my right calf and other part of my legs (since I am wearing a puruntong).  Washed with soap and water, and put in Betadine on the wounds.

First thing after reaching the office, went to our office's clinic.  The doctor still instructed that I still should have anti-rabies shots even if Theo was shot with anti-rabies.  The Maxicare personnel advised that I better go to Makati Medical Center's emergency room while I am still covered by Maxicare (should have been treated within 24 hours of the dog bite to be covered).  So off I went.

Got 3 shots for two vaccines--one active (on left shoulder) and one passive (on both buttocks).  The passive one costs a lot!  I have to shell out since Maxicare covers only about PhP18,000.00.  I still have to take 4 shots after this.  Took the whole morning at the emergency room

Ate at McDonald's near Makati Medical Center for lunch before proceeding to the office.

My schedule for anti-rabies:

Day 3 October 27
Day 7 October 31
Day 14 November 7
Day 28 November 21

Will have to look for other health provider to do the shots.  Taking it at the emergency room would cost much.

AP BT 90

Already made a reservation today for my treatment.

First went to 7-11 to pay the purchase I made at Lazada.  Will buy another Sricam CCTV camera for the our dirty kitchen and a pocket WiFi whose battery can last for 16-20 hours.  Took the jeepney to Ayala Center.

Went to Mercury Drug while waiting for the mall to open.  Purchased Genteal drops for my dry eyes.

As soon as it opened, proceeded to KARADA for my treatment.

After, had Mongolian lunch at Food Choices (brought with me warm water).  It's a PhP90.00 lunch.  Hehehe!  Normally, would have eaten at Bistro Ravioli after my treatment.  Bought a micro SD that I will put in my new CCTV camera.  I am expecting it to arrive tomorrow.

Bought a bilao of pancit luglug from Razon's and a Jollibee's Chickenjoy bucket for our merienda before proceeding home.

The Foreigner

Downloaded the GMovies mobile application and tried it by booking a ticket for The Foreigner.

Walked my way to The Landmark.  It was a 9:41 min/km pace walk.  Slow.  Since my movie screening is at 2PM, decided to have a quick lunch at Wendy's.

Businessman Quan (Jackie Chan), with a buried past, seeks revenge when his daughter dies in an act of terrorism.  He had a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official (Pierce Brosnan), whose own past may hold clues to the identity of the killers.  Flashback gives reason for Quan's dogged determination.  Feel sorry for the character of Brosnan who is surrounded by frenemies.

After, went to SM Makati to buy two battery operated candle before proceeding to Glorietta 5 to attend the anticipated Mass.

After the Mass, we had dinner at Pancake House.  Bought groceries at The Landmark before proceeding home.

Hair

My usual hair-pampering day.  I always do it every third month.

My stylist has to go to another salon because her old one closed shop.  Thus, went to Coco Grace Salon at The Link.  Good thing she was able to look for another employer immediately.

After, Mongolian lunch at Food Choices then proceeded home.  Hope to be home when our Yellow Cab merienda arrives.

HR Activity

Today, have to go to the office to attend an activity to be conducted by our HR department.  For the past month, the group I belonged has been practicing once a week.  Actually, I am lucky that I belong to that group because unlike the other groups, I heard, they are pretty serious about their presentation. For us, it is just for fun.

D-day.  We got second place!  Not bad... for a group who was just out there to enjoy the camaraderie.

Then, went to Abesamis Vision Care to pick-up my new progressive eyeglasess and was dropped off at Glorietta.  Had a late Mongolian lunch at Food Choices, bought some items at True Value, left my purchases at The Landmark's package counter; then, proceeded to Glorietta 5.

Attended the anticipated Mass.  Had dinner at Chili's for my belated birthday treat.

Quick purchase of groceries then proceeded to pick-up my niece Pamela at Bonifacio Global City (BGS) where she had dinner with her mom, brother and sister.  Will bring her to the airport.  She just came to attend the concert of a Korean boy band.  Weh!

New Eyeglasses

Had Eggs Ben for lunch at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.  Then, went to Abesamis Vision Eye Care to have my eyeglasses replaced.

After, walked my way to Ayala Center.  My brisk walk is pretty slow.  Already in the walkway when it rained.  Thanks for small blessing!  c",)

At The Landmark, bought the cheapest goggles to be used as props for our HR's activity this coming Saturday.  Left my purchases at The Landmark supermarket's package counter and went to Glorietta 5 to attend the anticipated Mass.

Got a pasalubong from one of my "classmates" during the anticipated Mass.  Nice...

We had dinner at Bistro Ravioli and went to Rustan's supermarket to buy walnuts.  Hope the walnuts also help against uterine cancer.  The benefits of walnuts include cancer-fighting properties, heart health, brain health, diabetes, etc.

As promised, bought and gave juicer to Edgar, the driver, for his wife.  Bought groceries at The Landmark, passed by Pet Express (for my dog's food and treats), and proceeded home.

Uterus Eyeglasses

Went to Makati Medical Center during lunch time for a follow-up check-up with my Ob-Gyne.

Showed up so I can be listed, have lunch of chicken arroz caldo and asado siopao at Dumplings 'n Dimsum, and back to my doctor's office.

And I thought it would just be normal as usual, but was advised that my uterine lining has thickened and have to do another ultrasound while on my 3rd-6th day of my menstrual cycle to ensure it is not cancer!  What?!

Back to the office, was looking for my progressive eyeglasses.  It's missing!  Must have left it at the taxi I took when I went to Makati Medical Center.

Is there more negative news?  Aside from the office.  Hay....

As soon as I arrived home, check my lab results.

May 27, 2016
The UTERUS is retroverted, midline, with heterogenous echopattern and irregular contour.  It measures 6.1 x 7.5 x 5.6 cm (corpus only).  There are at least 7 myomas seen.
The ENDOMETRIUM has thickness of 0.78cm, is trilaminar, with intact subendometrial halo.
Impression:
Retroverted Uterus with Myoma Uteri as described.
Thin and Intact Endometrium.
Normal-sized Both Ovaries.

September 19, 2017
The UTERUS is retroverted, midline, with heterogenous echopattern and irregular contour.  It measures 6.3 x 8.9 x 5.6 cm (corpus only).  There are at least 6 myomas seen.
The ENDOMETRIUM has a thickness of 0.66cm, is trilaminar, with intact subendometrial halo.
Impression:
Retroverted Uterus with Myoma Uteri as described.
Thick and Intact Endometrium for age.
Normal-sized Both Ovaries.

Now, my endometrium actually thinned from 0.78cm to 0.66cm.  Although, the impression is that it is thick for age.  Pray it is not cancer.

From http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/store/10.1002/uog.9982/asset/9982_ftp.pdf?v=1&t=j8iafbn9&s=e6fe34d10bf6182e188a51dc4d6d1f0a40ae28ec

Conclusions: The thickness of the endometrium can be used as an index to predict the risk of EMCA. An endometrial thickness less than or equal to 5.0 mm in women older than 51 years old and 8.6 mm in those younger than 51 years old indicates a low risk for developing EMCA.

Office

My Sunday is always spent at home.  One of the reasons I attend the anticipated Mass on Saturdays.

But this Sunday, has to drop by the office to meet an officemate to brief him.  My niece Camille who just started learning how to drive drove me to the office.  Scary... Hehehe!

Called Shakey's from the office to deliver our meryenda at home.  Spent a few more minutes at the office and was able to be at home by the time our food arrived.  c",)
