CHRISTmas Shopping
Tried to look again for Tsubasa's (dog) food. Went to
Cartimar Shopping Center and
Pet Express, still, Prescription z/d nor Prescription d/d are out of stock. Says it is due to very slow release at the pier. Thanks to the truck ban implemented (and now lifted) by ex-President now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.
Was dropped off at
Glorietta. The first showing of the movie I wanted to watch is at 8PM and have no intention of watching it in the evening. So, braised myself to shop. There are lots of people in the mall doing the same (maybe because it is payday or they already have their Christmas bonus). Also, yesterday is Black Friday. But still, the mall is on sale.
Went to
Mercury Drug to buy medicine/s and a bottle of water. For more energy, have lunch at
Bistro Ravioli. Tried their mushroom and mozzarella ravioli. Still prefer the spinach and feta cheese ravioli. Then proceeded to
The Landmark to buy Fern-C (this vitamin C is not being sold at Mercury Drug).
My first stop for my gift shopping is
Stradivarius. Was able to buy for my nieces.
Next is
UniQlo at Glorietta 5. Was able to buy for my
inaanak/s.
On the way back to The Landmark, saw a stall selling skateboard, scooter, bicycle. SMSed the mother of my
inaanak if she would allow her son to have a (Chaser) skateboard. She agreed. Bought one (on sale).
Bought a toy at The Landmark for my nephew.
Have my items picked-up by Edgar to be brought home.
Was curious about shoppers carrying
H&M shopping bags. H&M and UniQlo at
SM Makati opened yesterday. So went to check it out. Can't get it. I have not seen anything I would like to buy. The clothes in their mannequins are in fur. The Philippines do not have winter. And there are too many people at UniQlo. Prefer their branch at Glorietta 5.
Has been looking for a humidifier. Says it is good for sore throat.
Scent for Senses are selling different types. Bought one (aromatheraphy/ humidifier). This is my gift to me. LOL
Have a fishball at
Food Choices for
merienda before my anticipated Mass. And for dinner,
Kaya Express.
Mockingjay
My movie weekend and time to tick-off some items in my Christmas list.
Was the first in line at the counter to buy a (discounted) movie ticket for
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
Since still have time before my movie, went to
It's Personal! Chose mousepad as my gift/s. And, got free five (5) tumblers for it (which is also my Christmas gift/s). Will pick it up before going home.
Had a lunch at
Food Choices before my movie.
Picking-up from where "Catching Fire" left off, Katniss has become the symbol of the rebellion. She is now living in District 13, the center of the resistance. Perception and propaganda. Katniss used by the rebellion, Peeta by the Capitol. May not be better than the first two movies but definitely delivered in anticipation for Part 2.
After the movie, bought towels (for gift) at
The Landmark and have it embroidered at
Made For U. The embroidered towel will be available for pick-up next week. Went back again at The Landmark to buy a flashlight. Found a novelty wherein the flashlight looks like a light bulb. Luv it!

Have to replace my flashlight. Often brings along a flashlight when I move around the house at night in case there is a sudden power interruption.
Attended the anticipated Mass, had dinner at
Bistro Ravioli, picked-up my order at It's Personal, bought gift wrappers/tags at
National Bookstore before proceeding home.
Prep
Have to buy the Prescription z/d for my dog Tsubasa. Went to several stores including
Pet Express (asked them to call all their branches if the dog food is on stock),
Cartimar Shopping Center (known for its imported items, pet products/ services, bicycle, gardening, etc.),
Animal House. All out of stock. Learned that it can only be bought in pet clinics. Asked the vet in one of the places we went to for possible replacement. No replacement.
Was dropped off at
Glorietta. Plan to tick-off items in preparation to my trip to Singapore.
- Power bank for my Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. Somehow my power bank for my iPhone or iPad doesn't work. Plan to buy a SIM in Singapore so I can have internet access anytime and I would be using my S3 mini as a modem... or not. Went to Mobile 1 (my suki) thinking of buying one. Tried several units. All along it's the cable. They kindly gave me the cable that worked. Thank you!
- Dollars. Went to Greenbelt to try Sanry's (where my niece bought hers for her trip to Hongkong). Since already at Greenbelt, have my lunch of spinach and feta cheese ravioli at Bistro Ravioli.
Back to Glorietta, decided not to watch any movie. It's a seesaw whether to watch
Horns or not.
Bought the following instead before my anticipated Mass:
- Fuji Instax at Infomax for my birthday and Christmas gift for my inaanak. The camera will be the birthday gift, the free film will be my Christmas gift (wink).
- Since my (personal) wireless mouse in the office is acting out, decided to replace it. And thinking I might need a mousepad, had one personalized. There's a promo that if you reach a certain amount, you get a free tumbler. So, aside from the mousepad, bought a tumbler and got a free tumbler. Had them personalized as my Christmas gift.
Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Wee Nam Kee, where we discussed our Singapore travel options.
Since I seem to be lost without the internet, surfed on possible ways how to get one while in Singapore. Thinking of getting the
MaxMobile. Perhaps, if I bring my mobile WiFi instead of using my S3 mini as modem? Will have to test my mobile WiFi.
Stonehearst Hero
Was not able to watch a movie yesterday and there are four (4) movies currently showing today that I wanted to see. So, instead of my usual Sunday rest, decided to tick off two from my list.
But first, had an early lunch at
Bistro Ravioli since the ticket counter is still not open. My target first screening is 11:30AM.
Stonehearst Asylum takes place days before the New Year of 1900 when a young doctor arrives at a remote asylum where the rich and and powerful are hidden away to recuperate from various mental illness. There are several twists to the story but can't help but sympathize with the villains. Can't help, too, but be captivated with the performance of Ben Kingsley.
In between movies, bought some dollars for the upcoming trip. Also
meryenda at
Big City.
My next movie is
Big Hero 6. A group of nerd friends have to become superheroes to stop a mad villain with an army of micro-bots at his command. This movie have a lot of heart. Even one of the kids watching is crying when something bad is happening to Bigmax. Like!
Canon Photo Marathon 2014
Venue is at
Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and was successfully registered for the
Canon Photo Marathon. Registration starts 6AM. Intends to be there by 7AM. Have Edgar assigned to me to drive me where I can take photos.
After registering, had breakfast at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf of Eggs Ben.
The first theme is
Circular/ Peaceful/ Fashion. Initially thought of going to
SM Mall of Asia or the
Luneta Grandstand. On the way, changed my mind and decided to go to
Greenbelt.
After having my fill, went back to BGC to submit my entry and have lunch at
Brothers Burger.
For the second theme, it is
Cross/ Exciting/ Cityscape. Oops.. already took a photo that would fit the theme. So, waited for the Loading Station to open to submit my second entry.
After, went to
The Landmark to buy groceries and cake for the house. Decided to stay behind at
Glorietta to attend the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
Pancake House after.
The Judge
Will attend the Mass. But first, had an Eggs Ben breakfast at
The Coffee & Tea Bean Leaf.
Learned (aside from the lessons of the Gospel) that plenary indulgence can be granted to our dearly departed by visiting the Church or cemetery within this week, pray the Creed, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be, the Eternal Rest. Also, take the communion and confession within the week.
And for my movie weekend,
The Judge. Am not really into drama genre, but I won't let a Robert Downey, Jr. movie pass. A big time criminal lawyer has to defend his father, a judge, from a murder charge. Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Duvall played solid performance. Even the actor of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the actress of Bates Motel. Like!
Before proceeding home, bought
Red Ribbon cake for the house.
Undas 2014
Woke up really early as we have to leave the house around 4AM so as not to get caught in traffic when we visit our dearly departed at the cemetery.
First stop is my aunt at the
Manila Memorial Park. My
Nanay used to visit her. Now, would do it for her. I have my
Nana with me plus our driver Edgar.
Before proceeding to
Sgt. Mariano Cemetery where my
Nanay and
Tatay is laid to rest (with my
lolo,
lola, uncle, etc.), stopped by at
McDonald's for a very early breakfast.
After, went back home. Will go back again to Sgt. Mariano Cemetery around 3PM.
At 3PM, was back, but this time, with my niece, sister-in-law, Mary and Edgar. Also visited my
Tatay's parents. It's hard to do so when I first went as it is still a bit dark.
For our
pagpag, had

Ginigiliw na mga kaluluwa sa Purgatorio, na ang mga katawan ngayon ay nababaon sa pinagpalang pook na ito, masdan ninyo akong naririto ngayon upang magpuri sa Dios at tumulong sa inyo.
Naparito ako upang dumalaw at umaliw sa inyo at upang kayo'y ibsan ng hirap sa pamamagitan ng pagwiwisik ng tubig na binasbasan sa inyong libingan.
Yaong sa katunayan ay siya ninyong Kaaliwan ay siyang aaliw sa inyo at Siyang tunay na Kapahingahan at Kapayapaan ay siyang magdudulot sa inyo ng ganap na kapahingahan.
Si Hesukristong Bugtong na Anak ng Dios, na ipinako sa paripa ng Krus at namatay dahil sa inyo ay Siya ngayong magpapadaloy ng Pulang-pula Niyang Dugo mula sa Limang Sugat sa mga apoy ng Purgatorio.
Ang Kamahal-mahalang Dugong ito ang siyang pupukaw at magbibigay-ginhawa sa mga kaluluwa sa gitna ng kanilang paghihirap.

Ipamalas ninyo sa kanila ang Kawang-gawang Kristiyano na nag-uutos sa inyong gawan ng mabuti ang inyong kapuwa at ialay sa Dios ang dalanging itong iniaanib ko sa inyong mga dalangin para sa kaaliwan ng mga naghihirap na kaluluwa sa Purgatorio.
