Meeting

Since the ex-president of our office's camera club would drop by our exhibit at the Camera Club of the Philippines Center (CCPC), decided to meet him.

Was at CCPC by 10AM. Fixed the photos whose mounting became a disarray while waiting for my guest. When he did come, obviously, he has lots of opinion. In fact, it took us until lunch time just viewing the photos on display! LOL

After, brought ice cream before proceeding home.

Sale

Should have watched a movie; but, due to the long queue to buy tickets, decided against it.

Instead, went to The Landmark Department Store to buy me a long maong pants. The whole store is on sale... up to 50% off.

Noticed that all my maong denims are knee-length. When I needed a long maong pants to wear during the opening of our exhibit (so as not to be that formal), I have nothing to wear!!! Good thing, there's a sale.

Spent sometime at Burger King where I updated my blog.

Then, attended the anticipated Mass (which is now at the 3rd floor of Glorietta, behind Timezone) and had dinner at Friday's.

Dawn to Dusk Exhibit

Woke up as early as 7AM as I have to be at the Camera Club of the Philippines Center (CCPC) to set-up our exhibit which would open at 5:30PM today. Since the Tilak Hettige would be arriving around 12 noon to decide how the images will be displayed/ exhibited. I was tasked to be the "conductor" of the set-up while he is not around. Hehehe!

We thought we would not finish it as our target to complete the set-up is 2PM. It's already 2:30PM and less than half of the images were put up. But we made it!

At round 6PM, BenCab, our National Artist, arrived. He graced the event and was the one to cut the ribbon.

All in all, would consider the opening of our exhibit a success.

BTW also made the AVP for the exhibit. It was played during the opening.

PWD Advocacy

Woke up really early as I would be joining the activity of our office's camera club. It is in partnership with Mr. John Chua's PWD advocacy. Beneficiary is DSAPI. The theme is "touching lives through photography".

Has to be at the Mall of Asia (MOA) before 7AM because John Chua would give a briefing to the photographers. The DSAPI children would be arriving by 9AM. Each photographer would be a mentor to a child.

The group was split into two (2) to fit in the activity areas. For the event, we would be using the Science Discovery Center and the Kids Republic.

The event is tiring; but, definitely worth it!

Sanuk Sale

Before leaving Glorietta yesterday, saw a long line in Sanuk store. No wonder, some of the items are at 50% off.

Thus, woke up early and was the one of the first customers of Sanuk. Was able to buy two sandals that were on sale! c",)

Went to The Landmark Supermarket to buy ice cream before proceeding home.

Winning Elm

Would be going to Fans to have our images printed, guided by the instructions of the Tilak Hettige, for our exhibit. Borrowed my brother's driver, Manong, to drive me to Greenhills.

After, asked him to drop me at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) since I was planning to attend the 5PM meeting there of our office's camera club.

Had lunch at Pollo Loco. Stayed there for a while as * e-mailed to the group some nitty gritty things related to the exhibit.

Decided to watch a movie, A Nightmare On Elm Street, which is a remake of the same name. It tried to be true to the original. Don't know if because I already know the story that I did not get the goosebumps.

Then, decided not to attend the meeting. LOL. Took a taxi back to Glorietta to attend the anticipated Mass. The Mass is now being conducted at the multi-purpose hall behind Timezone. After, ate dinner at Italliani's

Since it is Midnight Madness Sale, went to National Bookstore to buy some books, which was 20% off. Got me a free grab bag plus won two (2) Collins Thesaurus! c",)

Election Day

Today, we would be practicing our right to vote. It is also the first time we would be doing an automated counting of our votes. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) calls it automation.

Was already at my voting precinct (0286-D) at 8AM.

Queueing in order to vote

The BEI in action

The senior citizens, handicapped, pregnant women were given priority.

Outside the polling precinct

At 10:55AM, was already on my way home. That's almost three (3) hours just to exercise my right to vote!!!

BTW while waiting to cast my vote, witnessed vote buying while in line. Even saw the woman show an envelope containing the money and giving a sample ballot to a voter. Too bad did not have my video camera.

After a short meeting with the Tilak Hettige, rested a bit and went to the Cuneta Astrodome for the canvassing.

The Unusual

Normally, I would be at Glorietta, deciding which movie to watch.

This time, I'll be at Waltermart to meet with the Tilak Hettige to discuss more details of our exhibit. But first, had lunch at Mongolian.

Went to the Camera Club of the Philippines Center (CCPC) where I met with Tilak to discuss more about the exhibit. He would have a seminar that afternoon about travel photography around 2:30PM.

Since we were not able to finish, waited for their break to continue our discussion. While doing so, did some TXTing.

Then, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Super Bowl.

Iron Man 2

Because of the long line, decided to watch today (which happens to be a holiday) the first screening of Iron Man 2, an action, fantasy movie, a sequel to the Iron Man franchise.

This time, Stark is faced to deal with a man with an old grudge with his family. Aside from this, he is faced with his mortality. The movie is as expected, lots of action and special effects with its share of humor; but you definitely cannot beat the man (Robert Downey, Jr.) behind the mask.

After the movie, my niece and I had lunch at a Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante. After buying an illustration board and faucet/s, went home.

The Usual

(Writing this at Burger King, Glorietta...)

Should have watched Iron Man 2. But because of the loooonnnnggg line, inspite of several cinemas featuring it, decided to do my usual TXTing. c",)

(Writing this at home...)

Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at Italianni's. Picked up the photos I have printed when my niece TXTed me and she wanted to eat Tutti Frutti yogurt.

So, while waiting for her to arrive, went to National Bookstore at Greenbelt for I am looking for a black cartolina. At last, it is available!

Passed by BratPack and saw/ bought me a Kangol cap.

Since Manong will be bringing my niece to Glorietta, decided to buy an electric pot to replace the one we have which got "burned"(?).

Finally, as soon as they arrived, bought dinner for Manong at Food Choices while my niece and I went to Tutti Frutti for our yogurt fix. c",)
