Pet Medicine

Wanted to buy the medicine of Tsubasa and Theo.  A big one is available in Pet Express at SM Hypermart.  Will look for smaller size in Pet Express at SM Mall of Asia.  Was able to buy one.

Then passed by our house--demolition is ongoing.  The city's engineering office already called our attention that the house should already be demolished because it is hazardous given that it was gutted by fire.  Checked out clothes that can still be used.

Went to Cash and Carry to have lunch at its food court and was dropped off at Glorietta.  Was able to buy another shoes for office at Via Venetto, which is on sale.  Also, wanted to buy the Magic Mouse for my MacBook Air that somehow is still working even it was damped with water by the firemen--was able to purchase at Switch, which costs lower than the other Apple reseller.  Also bought a handheld letter opener/ shredder at Noteworthy in Greenbelt 5.

Attended the anticipated Mass at the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark.  It is the start of the novena for the feast of Mary, Mother of Hope.  Then, had dinner at Kaya.

Bought groceries at The Landmark's supermarket before proceeding home.

Internet

Originally, they said there is no available line.  Then they called yesterday that there is and, what was agreed, they would be installing it on Monday.

Lo!  Their technician called to say they can do the installation today.

Did not come smoothly since the landline which comes with it is able to dial out but unable to accept incoming calls.  The technician has to leave for he has a 2PM schedule.

Around 5PM, the internet stopped--actually, rebooted.  I tested the landline, it is now working as expected.  Then, the technician came back.  He tested and everything was OK.

Good thing, too!  Because if there is a problem on either one, they will have to cancel the request for an internet connection.

More Delivery

The cabinets and shoe rack I ordered from The Landmark, and computer table and computer chair from SM will be delivered today.

My niece also shared me her Netflix account.  Was able to cast the Netflix show on the TV we were able to save from the fire.

Both my nieces have to leave, leaving our "angels" to receive the item.  The computer table and chair arrived first.  The items from The Landmark arrived when my niece Pam is already at the condo.

Understand we needed a printer and a fast internet since my two nieces would be working from home.

Bought a Canon MG3070S which only costs P2,999.00.  It can copy, print, scan wirelessly.

Also, went to Globe for their Globe At Home product which has 5MBPS unlimited internet with no lock-up.  The important thing is the no lock-up for we do not know when we can build our house and transfer there.

First Sunday

This is my first Sunday in my condominium unit.  My Sundays are usually spent at home to rest, unless I have an appointment for my back treatment or for my haircut.

Missed Google Home and Google Chromecast; thus, my first order in Lazada in my condominium.

Norlie also came to the condo; my first visitor.

We still have to buy food outside because we have not been to market.  Hehehe!

Move In

Finally, we would be moving-in to my condominium unit.  It is a two-car convoy with the two dogs in my niece's car.  Pam and I would be in my HR-V with Edgar driving; Karl, my two "angels", the two dogs would be in my niece Camille's car.  In time, too, for on Monday, I would already be reporting for work.

Since our bed (bunk beds with pull-out) has not yet arrived, my aunt lent us mattresses, cover, basket, pillow cases.

Pam and I entered the unit first with us carrying rice, sugar and salt.  Everything went smoothly.  We just have to buy food first (instead of cook) because we have not been to market yet.

Was able to attend the anticipated Mass at Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark.

Delivery

For the past two weeks, either I go alone or with my niece to the condo to have it furnished.

* Power outlet installation for the water heater
* Water heater installation
* Curtain blinds installation
* Grill measurement
* Fix power outlet for air-conditioner
* Air-conditioner installation (my requirement for us to move-in.  Hehehe!)

Also I go to the mall to purchase some items I need as well as have my MacBook Air checked.  It would cost me a lot to have the parts replaced.  It has to be connected to power because battery is no longer working.  Bought other appliances at The Landmark at a discount, cabinets.  Was able to buy a simple computer table at SM Makati.

The other appliances and furniture bought at CW Home Depot will delivered to the condo today.  My nieces and I would be there to already arrange them.

By tomorrow, we would be able to move in.

Accounts

Camille (our designated driver), Pam, Vanie and I would be going to our (burned house).  Camille (with Vanie) will pick-up the guys who would help clean the condo unit.  Pam and I would be using Edgar to go to the banks to arrange our burned money, check book, ATMs, etc.

After our business at BPI, received a call from Camille asking Edgar to go to her in order to bring her car to be looked into because she thinks oil is dripping under her car after it screeched.  We said we will go to her after our business at Metrobank.

Upon arriving at the condo's parking lot, Edgar checked on Camille's car and supposedly he would be bringing it to a repair shop.  Now, it won't stop alarming.  The electrician has to be picked-up in order for the car to be brought to a repair shop.

Since we have not yet have our lunch, we joined Edgar to pick-up the electrician after our lunch.  Left Vanie with the guys cleaning the condo.  The electrician fixed the alarm so that the car can start; then, they brought the car to the electrician's shop.

Verdict?  The car's tires has to be replaced else we might encounter an accident.  The car is showing different symptom for us to replace the tires?  Someone is looking out for us.

Condominium

The condominium unit I bought was released to me year 2004 or 2005.  I only visited it once (although I pay annually).  People would say I should have it rented.  If I did, we would have no place to transfer to after the fire.

We would meet-up Karl at Pancake House in Magallanes.  We also had our breakfast there.  Borrowed the measuring tape from Kuya Sonny.

First stop at the Administration office.  My nieces and Karl were the ones who talked to them, including our concern about the dogs (only one dog is allowed per unit), sticker for parking, air-conditioner horsepower, etc.  Then, went to my unit to do some measurements.

We went to SM Hypermart and Cash and Carry to buy items to be used for cleaning my unit tomorrow.  We also went to CW Home Depot where we were able to buy furnitures and appliances on sale (inverter air-conditioner, inverter refrigerator, water heater, exhaust, bathroom mirror, sofa bed, dining table set) with my money we were able to retrieve from the fire.  Instantly, my condominium unit will be furnished.  Most will be delivered on June 15.

For dinner, went to Dayrit's Burger & Roastbeef House at Magallanes.  Went to next door at Cafe Breton for our dessert.  Then, proceeded to Sucat.

Rest

Sunday is rest day.

Norlie was able to visit us at Sucat, Paranaque.

I already had Mass for Lily Mendoza-Balbin last Friday, and we should have been praying a rosary for Lily yesterday for babang-luksa.  But due to the fire, this did not push thru.

My cousin treated us for dessert after our dinner.  It's a convoy of two cars to Southern Dairy Homemade Gelato + Kitchen.

Back

Went to our burned house, checking items that can still be recovered.  Kuya and my nephew Paolo with his wife is already there.

After, went to Glorietta to purchase more items we would be needing.  Bought Skechers walking shoes (I am wearing my Beachwalk slippers), Anker USB hub. medicines, etc.  We had dinner at Pancake House before proceeding home.

First thing Monday, we would go to my condominium's Administration to prepare for our transfer (Sucat is too far to my office).

A Tragic Day

Going to the office, my back ached.  Since I have a lot to do that day, decided to still go to the office instead of go back home.  I should have known...

Around 3PM, my Kuya (older brother) called.  Our house is being gutted by fire!  Then, our "angel" Lyn also called doing the same thing.  Then, my niece Camille.  Immediately left and tried to get a Grab driver.

It's as if time is a stand still and it is taking a long time for the Grab car to arrive.  While on the way, informed the driver about the fire.  My cousin called and offered their house for us to stay.  I accepted.  Almost near the house, we can no longer proceed; thus, was dropped off at the gas station.  Was trying to pay him but he politely declined.  Thank you!

It was too late.  I can already see the rooms are black and the roof is no longer there.  It seemed the house caught fire from the ceiling, where the fire started at a neighbour's house.  All the things on the second floor were burned.  We have to go through the first floor but I don't think we can use the appliances given they all got wet.

One of the firemen approached me and informed that they found a vault on the second floor.  They brought it down.  It was not actually a vault by my dry box!  All my high-end cameras and lenses are in it.

When it is safe to go up, my niece Pamela decided to go up with one of the firemen and took pictures.  Then, my other niece Camille went up with the fireman hoping to salvage anything she can find.  She is truly an angel.  She was able to get a lot of things for me.

Since it already getting dark, we decided to call it a day.  Camille is driving with our "angels" Lyn and Vanie plus the two dogs, Tsubasa and Theo.  Edgar is driving with me and Pam.  First stop is at The Landmark to buy clothes for us--we were not able to save anything (including our "angels" since they carried the dogs).  Good thing the store is on sale.  We also went to SM Makati (Shoemart) who happens to close at 12 midnight and is on sale.  Before proceeding to Sucat, Paranaque for my cousin's house, stopped at McDonald's to have our very, very late dinner.

Pamela, Camille and I would be using my niece Monica's room (while she would be staying at her parent's room).

Thank God no one was hurt.  And thanks too for the angels here on earth who is willing to help us.

Learned that night, firemen went twice trying to enter the property because according to them something re-ignited inside the house.  The Corporation already provided security guard.
