I will be attending the noon Friday Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Grenbelt Chapel. Left the condo around 10 AM with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.
On the way, thinking already where I would be having my (meatless) lunch. This way, this thoughts would not pop-up during Mass and get distracted. Decided to eat again at Phobac, and this time, try their Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet. Last time, I tried their Seafood Curry.
I was able to finish my morning prayers, the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet, and joined the community to pray the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer and the Rosary.
The Mass presider is Fr. Godwin.
When we get hurt or hurt someone close to use, we experience guilt. Tendency is to distance or hide from them. If we really value the relationship, do not distance ourselves.
Why did Jesus ask three times? When asked three times and responded the same, it means we have thought and committed our response.
Do our actions support what we are saying? Words nowadays are “cheaps”.
What does Peter's response mean (Lord you know everything. Lord you know I love You.)? What is certain, Jesus loves us.
Jesus is the face of the Father’s mercy
Then, proceeded to Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. Bought extra virgin oil at the department store's supermarket and went to Phobac.
Aside from the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, I ordered Spring Rolls (which I requested to be packed as it has meat) and Ripe Mango Shake.
Went to BPI to withdraw from their ATM and called Edgar, the driver, to pick me up.
Passed by Cash and Carry Mall before proceeding home where I bought a cathedral and viand at Goldilocks and ice cream at Dairy Queen.
Should have left around 9 AM. I was late. In any case, no worries as it is not first Saturday. Left with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38 mm on my left wrist, my Apple watch on my right, and my on Cloudhorizon 2 Waterproof.
We have easily found a parking slot and buying the groceries at The Landmark Supermarket is a breeze. Left Edgar, the driver, after paying our purchases so he can bring it home.
Walked my way to Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. I was able to finish my morning prayers and the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet. I was able to join the community to pray the Rosary.
The Mass presider is Fr. Paolo.
What is prayer?
Joy
Act
Contrition
Supplication
PUSH (pray until something happens)
Not only talking but listening
Don't give God instructions but report for duty
Prayer is a relationship.
Prayer is not only receiving God's grace but remaining with God. Not only being with God but being in the mission with God.
After the Mass, visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.
For lunch, I went to Chili's at One Ayala. One of the things I get distracted when attending Mass or praying is thinking where I should eat. Thus, in order not to get distracted, before the Mass, I already decide where to eat. LOL.
I ordered their Classic Nachos, Country-Style Pork Belly, and lemonade. Happy with my lunch. And because I ordered a lot, I have a doggy bag with me.
Chili's Country-Style Pork Belly
Since the place I usually hang-out after lunch is still closed (I do hope they would still be the ones occupying that space), went to The Landmark Food Center to start this blog.
Back at Greenbelt Chapel, I was able to join the community to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet, and the Rosary (although I think I napped while praying as I think I skipped mysteries).
The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Albert.
Fr. Albert
It is the Feast of the Lord’s Ascension, 40 days after the Resurrection.
The Ascension is the story of the new way of Jesus remaining with us--His earthly mission has been completed, and His heavenly mission begins.
His glorification, salvation. His love did not end at the Cross, nor in His resurrection nor in His ascension. Jesus is interceding for us to the Father.
Jesus is the Advocate. The Holy Spirit is the "other" advocate--the advocate within us.
Being holy is a long process, a daily struggle. It is difficult to be holy by our own merit; this is when grace comes in.
Be spiritual persons— persons truly living under the Holy Spirit.
After the Mass, I went to Pet Express to buy Theo's dog food, and met Edgar there. He brought the dog food in the car while I went to The Landmark Food Center to buy halo-halo (Poppy's) and lasagna (The Lasagna Manila) to-go.
Attending the noon Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right around 10 AM.
On the way, I finished my morning prayers. At the chapel, prayed the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet and a decade of St. Gertrude Prayer. Joined the community to pray the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer.
The Mass presider is Fr. Aldwin.
The pain won't stop for you. Pain stops only if you know to put a "period" on it.
Pain in our hearts, our hatred, etc. will always be there unless you put a period on it, put boundaries, let go.
This Easter season, the new life with Him can be achieved by letting go, setting a boundary, discussed how you feel, have the capacity to say "no".
After the Mass, I visited Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.
Saint Pope John Paul II relic at Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark-Makati
Received a message about the technician explaining the issue of my Chromebook and should drop by before 7 PM. So I went to Asus immediately. Unfortunately, the technician is still having his lunch, thus left so I can eat my lunch.
Went to Phobac where I ordered their Seafood Curry and Ripe Mango Shake. Not bad.
Phobac's Seafood Curry
Went back to Asus. The technician said that there is no problem with my micro SD card port. Being a Chromebook, this should be addressed by the Chrome OS. Guided me how to report the issue to Google so they can provide a patch for it.
Learned last night from Rolette, Norlie's daughter, when she messaged Lyn that her mother has passed away. So, today, we planned to go to her wake. We will bring Theo, the dog, along so that Lyn can come.
Edgar, the driver, brought the Mass card I requested him to buy. He was able to buy one at the Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish. So instead of leaving the condo before 11 AM (opening of the department store) to go to The Landmark to buy a Mass card in case Edgar wasn't able to do so, we left around 9:30 AM.
The travel to Manila Memorial Park/ La Paz Funeral Homes is uneventful. Norlie has been cremated. She died last Tuesday. Since she is so thin, her eldest (son) decided to have her cremated. I led the rosary for Norlie.
While we were inside, Edgar is walking Theo at the park.
Theo at the Manila Memorial Park
After, we dropped off Lyn and Theo at the condo and proceeded to Glorietta. Edgar was curious about the queue at the Yakiniku Likeso I said he will also have his lunch with me. Obviously, he liked it.
We parted ways. He will be waiting at the parking lot while I do my other business. Visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. Bought shing-a-ling at Lord Stowe's. Bought a half-loaf of raisin bread at the Baguio Country Club.
I will be attending the 12 noon Mass at Mary, Mother of Hope Chapelat The Landmark because the relic of Saint Sharbel Makhlouf will visit the chapel. Also, it is the Memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. Since the department store would open at 11 AM (the chapel is inside the department store), left the condo around 10:45 AM with my (black dial) Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right.
There were already a lot of people when I arrived.
The Mass presider is Monsignor Regie. It is a concelebrated Mass with him are two more priests one of which is Fr. Hans, the parish priest of the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and in charge of Saint Sharbel's relics.
Ask for these two graces:
Grace of fidelity. In the First Reading, St Paul is already in Athens. Athens is known for intellects, scholars, artists, etc. This is where he delivered his most powerful and compelling preaching and should be able to convert many. On the contrary, only a handful believed. Fidelity is most important. Success and results do not matter. Do not measure success by numbers, wealth, power. When we are faithful to God, we are already successful.
Grace of truthfulness. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truthfulness.
Fidelity and truthfulness go together. A faithful person is always truthful.
Living of this world, in order to get what we want, we compromise truth and fidelity.
After the Mass, we were blessed with oil of Saint Sharbel and given a prayer card. We were able to venerate Saint Sharbel's relics (bone).
Fr. Hans announced they have an 8 AM Mass for the sick at his parish on May 22. After, they give a small bottle of oil of Saint Sharbel. They do it every 22nd day of the month.
For lunch, I went to Food Choices at Glorietta 4 to eat at MAiSEN.
Proceeded to ASUS to have my Chromebook repaired. Upon boot-up, the Chromebook can detect the micro SD. But the screen locks and you login again, the micro SD is no longer detected. There is a warning message that the SD card was not properly ejected. They said, since it is a Chromebook, usually the cost is 80% of the original cost since the motherboard is often replaced. Praying that this is not the case. If this would be the case, I will just set my Chromebook not to lock. LOL
Had a frozen yogurt at Red Mango before proceeding home.
Today is the PFRC Board Meeting and it will be held at my cousin's house in Paranaque. Should have left at 8:30 AM for the 10 AM meeting. Left late. Good thing, I still arrived 10 minutes before the meeting. Left with my favorite Omega Speedmaster 38mm on my left wrist, Apple watch on my right, and my on Cloudhorizon 2 Waterproof.
Thank You, Lord, for the meeting is smooth and (most of) the result is to my liking. No approval for two properties to be sold and a tie for the third property. Our attorney suggested voting on another date and longer gap. If the decision is to sell, this will be raised to the stockholders for their final decision. Praying that in the next voting, the property will not be sold.
We had lunch and parted ways with our food-to-go.
Instead of going home, I went to Glorietta to buy supplements and for Edgar, the driver, to have his late lunch. For meryenda, tried Butter Manila's premium ensaymada and Biscoff milkshake.
Went to National Bookstore and visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Ladmark before proceeding home.
Yesterday, I was actually looking at Max's Bouquet Vanilla Cream Cake while I was waiting for the food I ordered to-go. Today, I received it as a Mother's Day gift from my nephew and nieces. 😊
Received an SMS from a friend that she left the Saint Sharbel prayer card she promised me last week at the Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel's office as she was not able to find me in the morning. Thanked her and will pick it up when I attend the anticipated Mass.
I was dropped off at Greenbelt and proceeded to the chapel. As soon as I arrived at the chapel, went to the office. I got the prayer card plus the office gave me several more Saint Sharbel prayer cards. Thank you! 🙏
I was able to finish my morning prayers and Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet. Joined the community to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet and the Rosary.
The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Benny.
The Lord mentioned about the importance of loving the Father as a testimony in union with Him. He will ask the Father for the second Advocate—the Spirit of Truth.
It is consoling knowing that the Spirit of the Lord is with us.
Love the Lord, follow the commandments, love the Father. When you face the judgement, the Lord will be your Advocate.
After the Mass, visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark.
For food-to-go, went to Peri-Peri at Glorietta. I was happy that there are only a few people in the restaurant given many people are already celebrating Mother's Days by dining out. It means I will be able to get my order much faster. Then, I learned their POS is down! That is why... hehehe! I won't be able to enjoy their Supercard discount as well as the Senior Citizen discount. Looked for another restaurant.
Thus, it is at Max's.
Passed by my niece's condo to drop her pasalubong from her sister as well as the food I bought for her.
Instead of going home directly, went to Cash and Carry Mall where I was able to buy Mary Grace's Mango Bene and Dairy Queen's Chocolate Almond Blizzard.
Brought with me the myFirst Camera Insta Wi which was recently replace. Below are the photos taken from said camera.
I would be attending the noon Friday Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. Also wore the Yui Tabi shoes. Should have left around 10 AM but was 30 minutes late.
On the way, I completed my morning prayers. At the chapel, prayed my Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet, and joined the community to pray the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer.
The Mass presider is Fr. Marthy.
Eucharist = Banquet of love
We have the unique privilege to share the mystery of the love of Christ. Don't waste the moment of attending the Mass/ Holy Eucharist. The Mass is the celebration of God's love, which we are not worthy of. He called us to the Mass.
God called us to bear fruit--not just to exist. What you receive in the celebration of the Mass is the Word and the Body of Christ.
Remember, Christ walks with us.
Be the Christ for someone today.
After the Mass, before leaving, I drank 1 teaspoon of organic black seed oil. My water has trace minerals. I was supposed to drink 8 ounces of water with trace minerals 30 minutes before meals.
Visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. Bought Lysol ✔ at its supermarket. Then proceeded to Glorietta for my late lunch.
Lunch is at Du Hisao Yueh. Ordered their Steamed Fish with Tauso, steamed rice, and Danzi Noodles (requested to remove the minced pork).
Steamed Fish with Tauso
For dessert, I went to Red Mango. Bought a small long-nosed pliers ✔ at True Value. Withdrew at BPI ✔ in preparation for funds needed with the ongoing maintenance of our Washington apartments. Went back to The Landmark where I was able to buy a laundry marker ✔ at Office Warehouse.
Home.
N.B. The myFirst Instant Wi I bought via Lazada is a "lemon". Unfortunately, I was only able to know its defects beyond the grace period Lazada allows it to be returned via their platform. Besides, I coordinated first with myFirst (global) support. Eventually, they suggested that I return it to the local reseller. After their (reseller) evaluation, a replacement was sent to me today. I allowed them to open it already and test before they send it over. 😀
Left the condominium about 40 minutes late. Oddly, I am not that worried that I would not be able to complete my first Saturday devotion or that I would really have to eat late to complete everything even after the noon Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel.
As soon as we reached the mall, we were able to find a parking slot. I guess, there are fewer people at the mall because of the long weekend (May 1, Friday, is a holiday).
Buying the groceries at The LandmarkSupermarket is a breeze. After paying for the groceries, left Edgar, the driver, to bring our purchases home. The department store opens at 11 AM (although Glorietta still opens at 10 AM); thus, walked to the side of the building to reach the chapel.
And yes, I am the first in the queue. I was able to finish praying the Act of Reparation for the first Saturdays of the month, joined the community to pray the Rosary, a 15-minute meditation of the Glorious Mystery's The Descent of the Holy Spirit, the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist.
I have been observing the First Saturday Devotion. Then I realized, it is not just my act for the reparation for the blasphemies made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary but it is also for me. Mama Mary, at Fatima, asked us to observe the First Saturday Devotion. Actually, doing so, slowly, inch by inch, we get closer to Jesus.
The Mass presider is Fr. Paolo.
The deepest desire of the human heart is to see the Lord face to face.
Two questions:
How clear is our eyesight? It is not just clarity of vision that we need but correctness of vision. The eyes are useless if the mind and heart is blind.
What kind of seeing? Do we want to see God physically, mystically, sacramentally?
The most terrible kind of blindness is the belief that our truth is the only truth.
No one has ever seen God and lived. He is too much to behold that is why God would reveal Himself through hearing, words.
Seeing with the heart.
Jesus said, "Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.” Jesus is the living and definitive revelation of God.
Sin distorts our vision. Sin darkens our vision.
What distorts our vision?
Pride
Pain
Pleasures of the world -- God's gifts but can be obstacles to see God
Power -- want control; should be "Thy will be done" and not "Thy will be changed"
How to see God:
Prayer. Not just asking from God but being presen t.
Presence. Be at the present moment, mindfulness, awareness.
Purity of heart. Childlike.
Practice of charity. Generosity.
After the Mass, visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapelat The Landmark and went to Yakiniku Like at Glorietta. Although there is a queue, I was seated immediately because I am dining solo. Dessert of frozen yogurt at Red Mango.
At The Landmark Food Center, got a table so I can start this blog.
By 3 PM, on my way back to Greenbelt Chapel for the anticipated Mass. Better to be early so I can be at my "usual" seat. Joined the community to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary.
I am getting sleepy. I slept a few hours last night because I was curious about trace minerals and having it in my drinking water. Because of it, I ordered one (Concentrace).
The anticipated Mass presider is Fr. Benny.
The apostle said, "We don’t know where You are going, how would we know the way?" Answer: Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
From Socrates: An unreflected life is not worth living.
Philosophers will tell you how to live your life. But Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
What is the will of God? Look at Jesus Christ, listen and follow Him.
Jesus has entrusted the deposits of faith to the Church. That will show us and lead us the way to Jesus.
After the anticipated Mass, went to The Landmark Food Center to buy an extra small tray of The Lasagna Manila's lasagna. This size allows me to avail of the Senior Citizen discount.
Walked to Muji at Glorietta. It is the first anniversary of Muji's flagship store. Some items are on sale from May 1 to May 3. I was able to buy shirts and won a freebie of Propylene Make Up Box.
Today is the First Friday of May 2026 and I would be attending the noon Mass at Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt Chapel. Left with my Tudor Black Bay 54 on my left wrist and my Apple watch on my right. Wore my Yui Tabi shoes.
On the way, I was able to finish my morning prayers. At the chapel, I was able to finish the Precious Blood of Jesus chaplet and joined the community to pray the prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Rosary.
The Mass presider is Fr. Benny.
Today we celebrate St Joseph the worker
Why did Jesus have a father who has to work? Why a carpenter?
It points to a certain truth: Jesus is truly human (and truly God). He grew up the way we grew up ("grew in wisdom and strength").
Labor entered in our lives with the sin of Adam and Eve.
But work is sanctifying. It helps us to have dignity, develop personality, etc. When we work, we participate in God’s creation and redemption. To use our talents not only for ourselves but service to others. When we use the talents according with God’s will, this has become redemptive.
Our blessings can become curse when we don’t use it according to God’s will.
After the Mass, visited the Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel at The Landmark. Bought glue tape at the Office Warehouse inside the same department store.
Lunch is at Nanyang in Glorietta where I ordered the laksa (prawn), Hainanese Kaya with honey traditional toast, and honey lemon tea.
After eating, that is where I noticed that the Bacolod Chicken Inasal is closed. This is where I usually eat during Friday since I abstain from meat on Fridays. (sad) Hopefully they reopen either at Glorietta or at One Ayala.
Bought some stationary items at National Bookstore.
I was thinking of buying ice cream at Dairy Queen in One Ayala. The queue is long and decided to buy instead at Cash and Carry Mall before proceeding home.
Passed by our Washington apartments to see the progress of the repainting.
Bought the ice cream-to-go as planned before proceeding home.
