Black Saturday Splash

Normally, our summer "swim" is on Easter Sunday and at the Cuyab Hot Spring Resort.  This time, we will do it on a Black Saturday and will be at Splash Island.  Was able to buy discounted tickets via Metrodeal.

A lot of firsts.
First time to go to Splash Island.  (All of us).
First time to do our summer swim on a Black Saturday.
First time that Edgar (driver) and his kids will be with us.  Usually, we have Vangie and her family, Manong, Tita Leony.  Originally asked Vangie if she can join, given her condition, she cannot.  Plus the car we would be bringing is limited to 5PAX.
First time won't be going to The Aristocrat for our food.  We would just be buying it inside Splash Island.

Since it would open at 8AM, left the house around 7AM.  Dropped by McDonald's along South Luzon Express Way (SLEX) for our breakfast before proceeding to Splash Island.

There's a separate queue for those who availed the Metrodeal promo.  As soon as we entered, queued to get a cottage for us.  Chose the cottage near the kids pool as we have kids with us (good decision, actually).

It was FUN!!!

Left around 3PM.  Proceeded to Glorietta as I am planning to buy Baskin Robbins ice cream at 31% off.  We had merienda at Shakey's.

Good Friday

As usual, would only be at home for Good Friday.  Will wait for penitensiya (self-flagellation) and senakulo (street passion play) pass by our house.

Did not see a penitensiya but was able to watch a senakulo.

From time to time, have to answer regarding office issues.  Hay...

Prayed the Station of the Cross, prayed the Holy Rosary, started the Novena to the Divine Mercy, and the prayer to be prayed 33s time from 1PM to 3PM.

Maundy Thursday

Because of the issues in the office, this Holy Week would not be as spiritual as it should be given...

Would do the Stations of the Cross at Sta. Clara Parish Church.  Walked our way there.  With me is Lyn and Vanie.  Then, lit a candle for our dearly departed.

Stopped by Chowking for our meryenda-lunch, bought sunblock at Mercury Drug; then, walked home.

Palm Sunday

Since I was not able to attend the anticipated Mass, will attend the Mass at Don Bosco Parish Church.  Bought palm fronds on the way to the church.  Attended the 10AM Mass in Tagalog.

Normally, would have gone to the mall after.  Decided to go home.

OTY

Because of the issues of the other feeder systems, will have to wait for an advise to go to the office and do a testing--this is to help test the fix.  Thus, was at the mall ticking-off items from my list.  Was hoping I would be able to attend the anticipated Mass.

Wish not granted.  Just when it is nearing the start of the anticipated Mass, had to go to the office.  And I thought we would already resolve the issue then.  Encountered an issue, advised them, and they will further isolate and solve.  Hay...

Root Canal

My dentist's appointment should have been on Monday around 11:30AM.  Been going there for several weeks now and the last stage will be on Monday.  But due to several projects, called my dentist if I can have it today.  Was given a 4:30PM slot.  Thanks!!!

Was supposed to go to Glorietta already for my usual window-shopping.  But since I forgot the medicine I should be taking before a meal, took an Uber ride home.  Caught my nephew at home.  Took and got my medicine, and my nephew dropped me off at Glorietta.  Yeah!

Had a Mongolian lunch at Food Choices, dessert at Baskin Robbins.  Around 3PM, took a taxi to my dentist.  There were lots of patients waiting.  He accommodated me at once.  Nice.  I would be able to attend the anticipated Mass.

After, took a jeepney back to Glorietta, strolled a few, then attended the anticipated Mass.  We had dinner at Luk Yuen.  Bought groceries at The Landmark, passed by Pet Express for my dog's food and proceeded home.

Endosopy, Colonoscopy

After all the clearance (cardio, blood tests, etc.), will have the endoscopy/ colonoscopy procedure today.  Have to be at Makati Medical Center an hour before 8AM.

One of the blood tests requested by my gastro made me sure I still don't have diabetes.  Hehehe!  My 360 degree turn to drink water, avoiding soda made my chance of not having diabetes most likely.  My Kuya has one.

Since Saturday, started with the preparation.

Saturday: No veggies, no fruits, no meats except fish. Can eat rice, egg, tofu, cheese, pasta, noodles, sandwiches except wheat bread.

Sunday breakfast and lunch:  Same as Saturday.

Sunday 5:30PM:  Lugaw (plain) soup, can eat ice cream except chocolate flavor.

Sunday 6PM:  Surelax 14 sachets in 2 liters of Gatorade (except red and violet color).

Sunday 9PM:  2 tablets of Dulcolax followed with at least 1 liter of clear liquids.

After the procedure, had light lunch and waited at my doctor's clinic.

The result:

Endoscopy:  Gastritis, mild.  Duodenitis.

Colonoscopy:  Sigmoid colon polyp, S/P extirpation polpectomy.  Internal hemorrhoids, Grade 1.

Was given medicines that I would take for two weeks to cure the gastritis and duodenitis.  Once I finish my medicine, will return to my gastro for the result of the biopsy of the polyp.  Although my doctor mentioned that it is likely to be benign.

Then, walked our way to Ayala Center.  (Lyn was with me while I am undergoing the medical procedure.)  Wanted to watch Red Sparrow.  Bought discounted movie tickets.  Since Lyn wanted to buy a Nokia "dumb" phone, accompanied her.

Back to the movie.  After an accident (or was it an accident?), Russion ballerina Dominika Egrova was recruited by a Russian intelligence service where she was forced to use her body as a weapon.  Twists and turns.

Had merienda at Big City first before proceeding home.
