Wedding
It would be my staff's wedding and would be attending it. Asked
Manong to drive for me. The invitation says the wedding would start 10am. Normally, the couple put an earlier time in the invitation. Not in this case. I arrived with the bride about to walk the aisle.
The wedding is at
Santuario de San Antonio Parish. The reception is at
Manila Polo Club.
After, dropped by
Claudette's to buy Cloud 9 cake. Drop it at home and proceeded to
Glorietta to attend the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
New Bombay.
Annual Medical Check-Up
Took my annual medical check-up at
MyHealth in Shangri-la Plaza. After taking my blood, went to
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for breakfast (have to do fasting). Finished past 12 noon.
Went to
Glorietta and watched
The Avengers. No wonder the movie got rave reviews from
Rotten Tomatoes and
ClickTheCity. Six (6) superheroes given equal importance in the film, with their characters (and idiosyncracies) played out. Fun and witty. Definitely, a must see!
No Movie This Weekend
My first stop is
Claudette's to buy a Cloud 9 cake. Also had lunch there.
Then, proceeded to
Glorietta, hoping to catch a movie. It's a toss-up between
Battleship and
Sector 7. When I finally decided for "Sector 7", it is the last full show and I would not be able to start the movie. And for "Battleship", it would end by the time the anticipated Mass is already half-way.
Hmmm... I guess, no movie for me.
Spent the time paying bills, Dairy Queen's Blizzard and some window shopping.
Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Italianni's.
Aliwan Festival
Today would be the
Aliwan Fiesta, said to be the festivals of festivals, as the winners of different Philippine festivals compete--from the street dance, festival queen to floats.
Since the grand parade would start around 2PM, would have to be at the
Quirino Grandstand by 1PM to take photos of the contingents while preparing.
I am looking forward to watch again the winner of Ilo-Ilo's Dinagyang. But learned that they would be the 20th of the 22 contingents. Uh-oh!
The heat is scorching that while walking and taking photos, I was thinking of
Aristocrat's
halo-halo. LOL
When near The Aristocrat, left the parade route and ate my
halo-halo. Took a taxi to
Glorietta and attended the anticipated Mass. Then, had dinner at
Super Bowl.
Oh! Since been toying with the idea of having an android dual SIM phone, bought one--Samsung Galaxy Y Duos. Hehehe!
Day of Valor
Araw ng Kagitingan.Since it is a holiday, no work. Decided to have my hair-pampering day.
Normally, after the visit to the salon, I watch a movie. Since I don't "feel" the movies being shown (and some I already watched), went home after a late lunch at
Food Choices.
Easter at Cuyab
Our annual swim is at
Cuyab Hot Spring Resort in Calamba, Laguna.
Woke up early to buy the food we would be bringing. With Manong, went to
The Aristocrat Restaurant. While waiting for our order, went to
Malate Church to see if I can catch the
"Salubong".
With our food, went back home to pick-up the rest of the group. Stopped by
McDonald's along
South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) for our breakfast.
Upon arriving, picked a cottage and left them and our thing to buy a buko pie at
The Original Buko Pie Bakeshop at Los Banos, Laguna. With the buko pie and espasol, went back to Cuyab and enjoyed the day.
Left the place a few hours after lunch.
