Quezon Godzilla
I wanted to watch
Quezon's Game (the third of the Filipino heroes whose lives were made into film). Was dropped-off at
Glorietta. Oops... it is not being shown here. Called Edgar to pick me up and we will be going to
Market! Market!
I am not familiar with this mall... guess I have to familiarise myself so as not to get lost. Ordered tickets online.
First, had lunch at
Pancake House before my movie marathon.
My first movie is Godzilla II: King of the Monsters.
Between movies, window-shopped. Went to
Electronics Boutique where I bought audio jack which I am going to use for our road trip,
American Bazaar,
Watsons,
Daiso Japan.
Now, my second movie is "Quezon's Game".
After, I was picked-up by Edgar on our agreed pick-up point (where I was actually dropped-off earlier). Went to Glorietta to buy the 31% off
Baskin Robbins ice cream. Picked-up my Lazada purchase at
SM Makati. Then, proceeded home.
Bye Bye Civic!
The balance for my Honda Civic will be given today. Initially, I thought the meeting would be at 10AM that I have Edgar pick me up earlier. Since it was re-scheduled in the afternoon, decided that I be dropped-off at
Greenbelt.
First have the car documents photocopied at
National Bookstore, checked-out the retention plan of
Sun (which I did not avail) and have lunch at
Conti's. Walked my way to
Glorietta where I was pick-up again by Edgar to go to our family corporation's parking lot at Zamora to meet the buyer.
It was pretty hot and the buyer was late. There was an exchange of payment, signature, documents, etc. And there goes my Honda Civic.... (sad)
Then, I asked that I be dropped-off again at Greenbelt so I can deposit the payment to my account. Went to
Mary Mother of Hope Chapel at
The Landmark to have masses offered for June celebrants (Nanay, Nana, Lily...). Since I still have time, decided to queue and buy
Tiger Sugar.
At least, I am making the most of my five day mandatory leave.
Easter Pilgrimage: Batanes
(Placeholder for May 25 to May 29, 2019)
Toyota Avanza
Took a half-day off from the office for I would be picking-up my new Toyota Avanza 2019. This will serve as our service car.
After picking-up the car at
Toyota Makati, we brought it immediately to
Ziebart to have it rust proofed, ceramic paint protection, and inner guard. I already made an appointment at Ziebart
Since I would be away for five (5) days, gave instructions to Edgar the driver:
- Pick-up the car
- Have it blessed
- Transfer some of the items from my Honda Civic like cellphone mount (I use the mobile phone as dashboard camera), rosary, mirror
- Canvass for matting, sun visor, cardo liner trunk tray, side step sill cuff plates
CCTV
Was unable to check the CCTV at Zamora for several days now. Was picked-up by Edgar, the driver, to have it checked. With me is Lyn, who will visit Vangie. When I was done in setting-up again the CCTV, also went to check on Vangie.
Since only got the final announcement on our Batanes trip, would have to go to
Glorietta to buy the tops. Per day, we should be wearing a specific colour. Green, orange, blue, pink and yellow. I don't have orange and pink; thus, will have to buy one.
We first had our lunch at
Phobac and proceeded to
Uniqlo. Will buy blouse/ polo instead of t-shirt so I can use the same for the office. Also bought
Beard Papa's cream puff. Then, proceeded home.
Back-up Glasses
Went to
Abesamis Eye Care clinic hoping to have the lens of my other frame replaced for reading. The secretary advised against it (hehehe!) and just use my old eyeglasses as back-up.
Walked to Ayala Center via the Dela Rosa elevated walkway, ate lunch at
Tito Pak's on the way. Then, went to
Columbia Sportswear at
Greenbelt 5 to buy another convertible pants I would be bringing to Batanes. Used my loyalty card to get the 10% discount.
Lined-up for
Tiger Sugar, bought walnut at
Rustan's supermarket, purchased
Heys neck pillow at
SM Makati.
Attended the anticipated Mass and tried the new restaurant at Glorietta, Katherine's Cafe, for dinner.
After buying the groceries, proceeded home.
Eyeglasses
Would pick-up my new eyeglasses; but first, had lunch at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Was able to get
Otso Diretso fans and pocket calendar as campaign materials. Will share them.
Going to my (eye) doctor, the lady guard at the building's lobby was trying to read my fan. Gave her one.
As I was leaving my doctor, she is endorsing the Otso Diretso senatoriables. Gave her a fan, too! c",)
Walked my way to
Ayala Center via the Dela Rosa elevated walkway with my Otso Diretso fan. Went straight to queue at Tiger Sugar. It took me between one and two hours before I was able to order. Tsk! Tsk!
Attended the anticipated Mass at
Mary, Mother of Hope Chapel in
The Landmark, dinner at
Phobac, groceries at The Landmark Supermarket. Then, proceeded home.
During the working week, went to
Glorietta to buy a Nokia 106.
Campaigning For Otso Diretso
Found the Dropbox for the
#OtsoDiretso campaign materials. Have tarps made with sizes of 2x3 feet and 1x1.5 feet. The 2x3 feet tarp would be posted in our properties in Pasay and in Makati. Some of th 2x3 feet tarp was also shared to some friends to post in their property. The 1x1.5 feet tarps will also be used as
banderitas.
Was there to oversee while the campaign materials are being posted. What is heart-warming, people were actually coming over to ask for one or ask that it also be posted in their store or their house.
My
Otso Diretso senatoriables are:
#5Alejano Gary
#9Aquino Bam
#25Diokno Chel
#36Gutoc Samira
#37Hilbay Pilo
#41Macalintal Romy
#57Roxas Mar
#59TaƱada Erin
Was done around lunch and was dropped-off at
Glorietta. Decided to watch a movie so bought a discounted movie ticket for
The Curse of La Llorona. Had lunch at
Wendy's before the movie.
Based on a Mexican legend of a woman who killed her children to spite her cheating husband. When she realised what she has done, she killed herself. In death, she roams the world taking children in hope to use them to replace her children to get them back.
After the movie, went to a
Bang & Olufsen stall at Greenbelt 5. Toying with the idea of having a Beoplay P6.
Attended the anticipated Mass, we had dinner at
Pancake House, bought groceries at
The Landmark Supermarket before proceeding home.
