Scoot Project Pie
The last day of my mandatory leave is another ride on my kick scooter as well as to try out the new restaurant at
Ayala Center that I have been intending to try.

Me and my kick scooter at Malate Church |
This time, would be (kick) scoot-ing along
Roxas Boulevard. This is a much nicer place to ride the scooter as there is a dedicated bicycle lane--the pavement is much smoother. I guess people are not used to seeing adults riding a scooter, that eyes were on us as we pass by. Even with the sun, you can't feel the heat when riding the scooter because of the breeze. After several laps, we rested at
The Aristocrat, one of the oldest restaurants in the Philippines, for
halo-halo and cliffhouse sandwich.
Dropped my kick scooter at home, showered and left again for the mall. This time, I would really try the
Project Pie which recently opened at the
Park Square. Since it is my first time, the guard even kindly assisted me on how to order my custom made pie. Not bad.
Will be buying some groceries for the house. There were lots of kids in costumes at the mall. Trick or treat!
Kick Scooter
My Day 4 in my mandatory leave is to ride my new
JD Bug Deluxe Kick Scooter. Me and Mary was dropped-off at the
Esplanade near the
SM Mall of Asia (it is not allowed to ride a bicycle at the back of MOA and I doubt if I can talk my way out that kick scooter is not a bicylce LOL). We alternate in riding the scooter.

Riding the kick scooter was fun... and is easy to learn, unlike bicycles. Mary fell down, I didn't! Weh!
When we had our fill, we walked our way to MOA. If no one is looking, I ride the scooter (instead of walking it). And Mary has to run to keep up. Hehehe! One we passed by commented that the scooter looks good... adding "are you trying to lose weight?". That did it! LOL
Stopped several times to rest and take pictures. Bought some items, ate early lunch at
El Pollo Loco, before proceeding home.
Grand time, indeed!
Tomorrow, I think will try the scooter along Roxas Boulevard near The Aristocrat.
Ouija John Wick
Been thinking of the kick scooter that I have to buy one.
For my Day 4 (tomorrow), plan to ride in one. But first, went to
SM Megamall where I was able to buy the
JD Bug Deluxe Kick Scooter at
Toy Kingdom.
After, was dropped off at
Glorietta, where I bought discounted movie tickets for
Ouija and
John Wick. A movie marathon! But first, had a quick lunch before my movies.
When their friend died, a group of friends decided to "talk" to her of her suicide through an ouija board. But first, the rules: (a) do not play near a graveyard, (b) do not play alone, and (c) always say goodbye when ending the game. The rule was broken; thus, the friends die one by one until it can be stopped. Just when you thought it is the end, the story still continues.
For my second movie, a hitman returns to his ways when his dog was killed--the dog which is the last gift given to him by his wife who just died. If you want action, this is it.
Dilim
Finally, decided to renew my passport. Have set an appointment today at 11AM. Per DFA instruction, I should be there 30 minutes before my set appointment.
Was already in the area before 9:30AM that I decided to have breakfast first at
McDonald's. Had I known, should have went directly. Took me about three (3) hours for my passport renewal application be processed. It would take 15 days for its release. Have it delivered.
Since I am already out, decided to watch a movie, and was craving for the spinach and feta cheese ravioli. Went to my favorite mall,
Glorietta, bought a discounted movie ticket for
Dilim, lunch at
Bistro Ravioli before my movie.
Maritess, a nursing student, will continue her studies in Manila to enjoy the scholarship awarded to her. Since she will take summer class for the courses that has to be accredited by her new school, she was alone in the dorm where she will be staying. She experiences strange occurrences in the dorm. It is not actually a horror movie (inspite of the presence of ghosts) but more of a mystery movie.
After the movie, bought a chocolate truffle at
Sugarhouse before proceeding home.
The start of my five-day mandatory leave yesterday is to complete one computer game I installed in my netbook I leave at the office that has to be formatted.
VIY... Spirit Of Evil
Will attend the Mass as I wasn't able to attend the anticipated Mass yesterday.
Was early, so had an Eggs Ben at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for breakfast.
After the Mass, since already at the mall, decided to watch a movie. A nice start for my five-day mandatory leave. Bought discounted movie ticket for
VIY... Spirit of Evil.
Movie is based on the book of Russian author Gogol. It is not scary and people who want to be scared out of their wits will be disappointed. Others may not like it but I like how the story unfold and the treatment.
After the movie, bought a small
bilao of
pancit from
Razon's before proceeding home.
Implementation
Finally, the project I am in will be fully implemented. It is a phased implementation and the last phase will be in ticked-off.
Have to be in our company's Call Center by 6AM as our client's will already be using the new system when they call.
I thought I will only stay after lunch; instead, left around 6PM. Thus, was not able to attend the anticipated Mass.
Since already in the area, ate dinner at
El Pollo Loco at
SM Megamall, took the
MRT,
Vanilla Cupcake Bakery in
Glorietta for dessert before proceeding home.
The Book Of Life
My movie weekend. Thus, bought a discounted movie ticket for
The Book of Life.
Since I was craving for the spinach and feta cheese ravioli and still have time for my movie, had my lunch at
Bistro Ravioli.
Jumping off from the Mexican myth, two gods, La Muerte and Xibalba, wagers on the romantic destines of three children, bestfriends Manolo and Joaquin, who both pine for the beautiful Maria. La Muerte, who rules the joyous Land of the Remembered, believe that Maria will choose the sensitive and artistic Manolo over the heroic Joaquin. When proven to be right, Xibalba cheats. Fast paced, beautiful, good visuals. "A true hero is selfless."
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Bulgogi Brothers. Tried their 3-way Shabu-Shabu.
Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk 2014
Have to wake up really early as our
photowalk would start at 6AM. Venue is at the
Cartimar Shopping Center in Pasay City. For one thing, I would be in charge of the registration. Second, I have the pin buttons that will serve as souvenir for the participants. The design was made by my niece.
After the walk, dropped by the house to change and proceeded to
Glorietta. Don't feel like watching the movies being shown, so took images for the photo theme "Pathway" instead.
After the anticipated Mass, we had dinner at
Chili's and continued my search for pathways. LOL
Cabalen Emerald Garden
My birthday!
I would be treating a separate group this time for lunch. This time, it would be at
Cabalen. Decided to be early as I wanted to visit the
Greenbelt Chapel. Also, since I remembered I saw
Dental City at
Glorietta, plan to have my teeth cleaned.
After lunch, went home for a nap. Around 5PM, left for
Emerald Garden Restaurant to buy food for our celebration at home.
Buffet 101
Normally, I take my five-day mandatory leave during my birthday week. Since I'll be implementing a project on the weekend, have to make do with two-day leave.
Today, I would be treating my team at
Buffet 101. Already have a discount card. They also have a promo wherein three days before and after your birthday, one is free for a group of four. So, will enjoy the promo plus my discount card (wink).
The Equalizer
Hair-pampering day.
Also, will watch
The Equalizer. Bought discounted movie ticket. But first, had a late Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices.
McCall (Denzel Washington) though he has put his past behind him has to tap on his hidden skills when his desire for justice has been reawakened. Entertaining.
After the movie, bought Campbell's cream of mushroom soup for my niece who called and said she was sick and cannot eat heavy food. Also bought a small
bilao of
Razon's palabok for our
merienda.
Annabelle
Already set a schedule with my dentist,
Dr. Jay Catipon, as my tooth cracked. It was set for 10AM. He "saved" my tooth! And it is always nice meeting his lovely dentist-wife.
After, proceeded to Glorietta for my usual weekend haunt. My movie is either
Annabelle or
The Equalizer. But "The Equalizer" has a longer screening time and it might eat up my time for the anticipated Mass. So, bought a discounted movie ticket for "Annabelle".
Ate lunch first at
Bistro Ravioli (again?!). Since I received an SMS from Edgar, the driver, if I can buy for him the Samsung Galaxy V which he plans to give to his wife, went to
Wellcom. Got a PhP100 discount.
In the movie
The Conjuring, the haunted doll Annabelle was first seen. Those who watched the movie were curious about Annabelle; thus, the movie. The common reaction of the audience is why would those characters in the movie be so interested in the doll when it is agh-lee (ugly). The true Annabelle doll is actually a rag doll. It is not really scary although the scene where the audience were screaming is the one in the elevator (haha!). What kept my eyes closed is when the lead actress is sewing and you know her finger will be pricked by the electric sewing machine's needle.
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Kaya. Bought a chocolate truffle from
Sugarhouse before proceeding home. Gave the mobile phone to Edgar.
