ForEx
Decided to go to the mall to buy some US dollars. Of course, wore my new MBT rubber shoes since there is Typhoon Carina--my feet won't get wet. LOL
First stop is at
Czarina but it is still closed. So went to
Toby's Arena to buy a birthday gift for Nica. Went back again but learned that they are now not selling dollars--only their head office at Stock Exchange, which is open Monday to Saturday.
Went to
Pacsafe Flagship Store hoping the defective
retractable cable lock. Since the one who knows about it will arrive by 12 noon, left the item and will be back. Decided to go to
Greenbelt 1 for
Sanry's Money Changer. Was able to buy USD1,500.00.
Had Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices, bought umbrella at
SM Makati and went back to Pacsafe Flagship Store. They were not able to do something about my lock--they will send it to their warehouse to have it checked and maybe submit it for the 5 year warranty.
Then, proceeded home.
Nerve
Would submit first the documents needed for our visa processing. Initially, meet-up is at
McDonald's along EDSA corner Evangelista Street. But since I was able to borrow my brother's driver, decided to go straight to
Adam's Express Travel. Right decision as my friends I'm supposed to meet-up is way, way late. Submitted the forms and left.
Had lunch at
The Aristocrat before being dropped-off at
Glorietta.
Bought a discounted movie ticket for
Nerve. Then just window-shopped while waiting for the movie to begin.
Back to my movie, Vee Delmonico, an industrious school senior, becomes involved in an online game of escalating dares with sinister implications. Fun with the hint of mystery.
After the movie, decided to drop by because of the sale. Buy one and 50% off on the second item (with lower amount). Bought
Kiburi 55 black and waterproof
Himaya GTX. Will pick the items later before going home but already wore the Kiburi (left the Geox sandals I am wearing instead).
Then, walked... the better to meet my "steps". Hehe! Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Italianni's. Supposed to do some groceries at
The Landmark but there were lots of people (it's payday). Since we will be going to
Pet Express, decided to do my groceries instead at
SM Hypermart.
Lights Out
Because of
FireChat, signed-up for
Rappler's
AGOS Project. There's a workshop in the morning at their office at Estancia Offices at 9AM. Arrived a few minutes before 9AM.
It was explained to us the purpose of the project/ advocacy. Enlightening and inspiring. We were given these materials before we left. They would also invite us for the next workshop.
Since it is my first time at
Estancia Mall, checked it out first before taking a taxi back to my favorite haunt,
Glorietta.
Bought a discounted ticket for
Lights Out, had Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices and dessert at
Cold Stone Creamery. Then just walked until my movie screening.
Thinking she has left her childhood fears behind when she left home, Rebecca has to face her fears again for her brother and her mom's sake. A frightening entity that has attached to her mother has resurfaced. The movie know when to put in the stops to scare. Did not scare me but like.
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass, we had dinner at
Pancake House and bought groceries at
The Landmark.
AP + BT 90
Already made my reservation at
KARADA. As soon as the mall opened, went there for my treatment.
Since you are supposed to drink only warm water until four hours after the treatment, had my lunch at my usual--
Bistro Ravioli.
Many stores are on sale. Passed by
True Value where I was able to buy a
WordLock. Then proceeded home.
Ghostbusters
Walking my way to Ayala Center, bought a ticket for
Ghostbusters via
mPass. So, had lunch first at
Pancake House before my movie.
With the sudden influx of ghosts, a group of ladies interested in the paranormal has to defend New York City. This is not a sequel but a reset of the original--this time, it consists of girl ghostbusters. As expected, funny moments.
Attended the anticipated Mass, we had dinner at
Luk Yuen, bought medicine at
Mercury Drug, groceries at
The Landmark before proceeding home.
Visa Photo
Hair-pampering day.
But first, had an Eggs Ben breakfast at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. After which, went to the
Chronicles Salon. Nice about this activity, it is kind of relaxing.
Then, went to
General Photo to have my photo taken as a visa requirement. Ate lunch at
Bistro Ravioli and went back again to General Photo to pick-up my photo.
Went home.
The Purge: Election Year
First, bought discounted movie ticket for
The Purge: Election Year.
Next, went to
PacSafe Flagship Store at
Glorietta 5 to buy the
luggage I intend to bring to the Best of Europe and Marian Pilgrimage I plan to join scheduled on the latter part of the year. I would have borrowed my nephew's luggage but their trip to South Korea would overlap with mine. Anyway, got it at PhP1,000.00 off. Left the item at
The Landmark's package counter.
Had Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices and dessert at
Cold Stone Creamery. Then, onto my movie.
A presidential candidate who intends to stop the annual Purge was betrayed and have to survive the deadliest night of the year. What I liked about it is the anti-hero of the second installment of The Purge movies is in this movie.
Still have time before the anticipated Mass, window-shopped. Had
merienda of
batirol plus
ensaymada at
Tsoko.Nut. Was looking for a bag tag to put in my new luggage. Have to make do with a personalized key chain with my name, e-mail address and mobile number.
Attended the anticipated Mass, we had dinner at
Gerry's Grill and did some groceries at The Landmark.
Alice Through The Looking Glass
A holiday. Decided to spend it at the mall. At least, there's air-conditioning while I try to meet my "steps" goal.
Intended to buy an eyeglass case which I saw at
Japan Home Center at Park Square. Wanted to keep one in stock as my eyeglass case doesn't seem to last. Wanted the last one I bought and hoping to buy the same. It's not on stock.
Bought discounted movie ticket for
Alice Through The Looking Glass. Screening time is 12:30PM. Still have time to buy some of the items on my list.
Daiso Japan for wet wipes. Dropped by
Pacsafe Flagship Store checking the luggage I plan to buy for my trip latter part of the year. Went to another branch of Japan Home Center at Glorietta 5. Still, my preferred eyeglass case is not available. Had Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices and dessert at
Cold Stone Creamery.
Alice returns to the Underland to help the Mad Hatter who is dying. What will help him is for someone to believe him that his family is still alive and would help find/ save them. Not bad.
After the movie, tried
SaladStop! for my
merienda. Bought Vitamin B at
Healthy Options. Then just walked... even reaching
Greenbelt.
There are a lot of stores on sale! Just have to buy some items and keep them on stock. Weh!
And by the time I was picked-up to go home, met my "steps" goal. Yes!
Before I Wake
I took 12:09min/km pace walk from Rufino to Greenbelt 5. Slow. As an excuse, it must be the heat. Weh!
First stop is to have photos printed at
General Photo. Next, wanted to buy an
MBT shoes/sandals I can use during weekends--will have to wait for their sale as their items are pretty expensive. Bought discounted movie ticket for
Before I Wake then Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices. Just window-shopped until my 3:10PM movie screening.
The premise of the movie "Before I Wake" is that when the child dreams it comes true. No problem if they are good dreams but when they become nightmares, something terrible will go wrong. He has been orphaned and was passed on from one couple to another who adopted him. Started as horror film then switched to another. In short, you won't be scared out of your seat.
Attended the anticipated Mass, we had dinner
Modern Shanghai and bought groceries at
The Landmark before proceeding home.
