Camp Sawi
A holiday.
Was thinking of buying a compact camera with long zoom as back-up for the camera I would be bringing for the European pilgrimage am taking. Decided to take my
Fuji X-Pro because of the ultra-wide lens I own for said camera. Have already done my research and was thinking of the
Canon Powershot SX60 HS.
Was able to find one at
Ambassador Home & Electronics Centre. They are one of my
suki. Already paid the item but will pick it up later as I have to watch a movie. Already bought a discounted movie ticket for
Camp Sawi. Had lunch at
Italianni's. Then just walked. It is easier to meet my daily steps in the mall.
A group of broken-hearted women ends up in a resort, called, Camp Sawi, that specializes in helping people ease their pain from failed relationships. The movie does not preach nor it provides a solution--that there is no singular solution and that people go through things in a different way.
For
merienda, went to
Tsoko.Nut Batirol. Did some groceries at
The Landmark before proceeding home.
More Exchanges
Since the mass yesterday is not an anticipated Mass, will attend Mass today at
Glorietta. But first had Eggs Ben breakfast at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
After the Mass, bought first dog treat at
True Value. Decided to have a light lunch so walked my way to
Greenbelt. This is to add steps, too. Since am already there, decided to buy more dollars to pay for my travel package. Bought it at
Sanry's Money Changer. For lunch, had grilled beef Gyros at
The Cafe Mediterranean.
Walked back to Glorietta. Saw
llaollao and thought of trying it. Chose Sanum. Hmmm... I'll go back to my
Cold Stone Creamery. Hehehe!
Bought books at
National Bookstore and walnuts at
Rustan's before proceeding home.
Jhay And Angel's Wedding
First, went to Adam's Travel to pick-up my passport.
Will be attending the wedding of niece (far removed). Supposedly, my
kuya and a cousin would be wedding sponsors but both would not be able to attend. I guess I would be representing the clan. With me would be Vangie and her family. Would be riding with them.
The ceremony would be at
St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Reception at
The Loft in
Manansala Tower.
Saw Tita Leony at the church. Had her with us to the reception and our way home.
Executive Check-Up
Have scheduled to take my executive check-up at
Makati Medical Center. Would have to be there by 8:30AM. Have to fast, too, for 12-14 hours.
MMC's Health Hub is very efficient and friendly. Also met a friend's friend. Maybe the reason I got a very, very VIP treatment. LOL. Was able to finish before lunch time. Had my brunch at P
ancake House in the hospital.
Normally, would have walked my way to
Ayala Center but because it is raining, took a cab instead. As soon as I reached
Glorietta, bought a discounted movie ticket for
The Secret Life Of Pets. Since there is still time, decided to window shop. Remembered I wanted my niece in Korea to download for me some TV series. Decided to buy a 1TB external hard drive which my other niece can bring when she visit her ate. Bought one at
Standard Computer Center.
Back to my movie. A pet dog was surprised when his human brought home another dog. Obviously, the two won't get along until the two are forced to work together when they got lost in New York City. Fun, light, warm. It also takes to have true friends.
After the movie, bought vitamin E at
Healthy Options and my late dessert at
Cold Stone Creamery. Then just walked while waiting for my ride home. Was late to be picked-up. It was raining heavily and many streets are flooded. In our route home, you can see few public transport (jeepney) if any and people wading through flooded streets.
AP + BT
Already made a reservation. As soon as the mall opened, went to
KARADA for my AP plus BT 90 minutes treatment.
And my usual, had lunch at
Bistro Ravioli after my treatment. Since I plan to buy US dollars, walked to Greenbelt to buy at
Sanry's Foreign Exchange. Bought some items for the two dogs (plus dog treats for the other dogs). Done with my checklist, proceeded home.
The Curse Of Sleeping Beauty
Walked to
The Landmark. Took me 12:36 min/km walk pace. Slow. Maybe because while brisk walking bought a movie ticket online. Excuses... Hehehe!
Bought food at
Burger King and plan to eat it inside the cinema. Since we're still not allowed to enter, ate my to-go food.
The Curse Of Sleeping Beauty is a horror, mystery, thriller based on the Brothers Grimm's Briar Rose. Thomas unexpectedly inherits a house that comes with a curse. It is their bloodline supposedly the "protector" to keep the demons at bay. A twist. Not scary.
Had my dessert at
Cold Stone Creamery after the movie. Went to
National Bookstore to buy a money envelope for the wedding I plan to attend next week. Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Luk Yuen.
While waiting for the driver, played Pokemon Go at The Landmark. They have lure party. Was supposed to take pictures of pokemons and post them with the hashtags #KetchumAllAtLandmark and #LandmarkLureParty .
Did some groceries and learned that my brother bought two dogs (mix of golden retriever and huskie). Passed by
Pet Express for their food before proceeding home.
The BFG
Rainy Sunday. Would have loved to stay in bed but decided to return the beverage dispenser I bought at
SM and have it replaced. And did just that.
Since I am already at the mall, decided to watch the movie I wanted to watch yesterday but was not able to. While waiting for the replacement item, bought movie ticket online for
The BFG.
Left the item at
The Landmark's package counter and walked to catch more pokemon. Hehehe! Had lunch
Italianni's. Dessert at
Cold Stone Creamery.
An insomniac young girl encounters a kindhearted giant who is shunned by his kind for refusing to eat children. He brought her to his home in fear that she might talk and he might get locked-up. Charming!
Bought a
Pacsafe backpack at The Landmark, picked-up the beverage dispenser at the package counter and proceeded home.
Poke Stop
Walked my way to
The Landmark. Since I did not time my walk, was able to try the
House of Lasagna which I always pass by and hope to try. Tried their specialty of Lasagne Frederico and Oreo Cheesecake.
Playing the Pokemon Go. It is a good excuse to walk to find pokemons. And it seems the malls are joining the trend by providing PokeStops and lures. Actually, was able to find a something in the Greenbelt pond. I wonder if this marks the stops or the lures. What is funny, seeing people in the same area, stopping to catch pokemon or to stop at PokeStop.
Decided not to watch a movie for I might miss the anticipated Mass. Went to Mercury Drug to tick-off some items on my list. Then, just walked to catch more pokemons. Remembered, to buy a beverage dispenser and looked for one. Was able to buy at SM. Then, attended the anticipated Mass. One of the senior ladies who usually attends the anticipated Mass had her birthday; was able to get one of her party souvenirs. Hehehe!
I had dinner at
Pho Bac and bought groceries at The Landmark before proceeding home.
Suicide Squad
First, brought my car at
Honda for its maintenance. Edgar, the driver, will pick it up later.
Went back home to drop some things then went to
Glorietta. Will watch
Suicide Squad--bought a discounted movie ticket. Had lunch at
Italianni's then walked before my movie.
Learned that
Pokemon Go is already in the Philippines. Thus, tried it. Was able to "capture" three pokemon. A good excuse just to walk.
A group of villains are forced to form a team to use their abilities against a supernatural entity causing havoc in Midway City. It is not really as bad as the critics are saying about it; but then again, there's nothing to be excited about.
Walked again. Was looking for Maria Ressa's "From Bin Laden to Facebook".
Powerbooks doesn't have it on stock but they were able to find one in one of
National Bookstore's branches. Ordered it and they will advise me if it is already available.
Walked again and found me at National Bookstore. Wanted to buy the new Harry Potter book but it was already out-of-stock. You can actually pre-order but learned it would be hardbound. Prefer softbound. Guess, will just wait when it is already available in paperback. Instead, bought Dan Brown books with his Robert Langdon character.
Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Chili's--it is a treat. Bought groceries then proceeded home.
