iPad Purge
My
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has been acting up. It just closes more than twice a day, sometimes it screeches that you have to perform a hard reboot. It started when my tablet fell on the street while alighting from the jeepney.
Decided to try the
iPad Mini this time. But have to check about my postpaid Sun broadband SIM if it can be "cut" to a nano SIM. Learned that I have to upgrade my SIM at the
Sun Shop at
Greenbelt 1. On my way to Greenbelt from Glorietta, used my Canon Vixia Mini X. Sun Cellular only have micro SIM. Have to have my new SIM "cut" to a nano SIM. Bought the iPad mini at
A Shop and went to my
suki for the
OtterBox case for it.
Bought discounted movie ticket for
The Purge: Anarchy, a quick lunch at
Food Choices and played around with my new iPad. The SIM is still not activated.
The sequel to last year's The Purge, this time film brings the annually government sanctioned event that allows the people to release their anger by killing, murdering, etc. to the streets. The first film brings the Purge in a family's home. This film brings five (5) strangers together who are on the street during the Purge. Definitely better than the first. One can't help but think what you will do if you were one of them.
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Bistro Ravioli.
Canon Vixia Mini X
Got the unit last night and tried to put it (
Canon Vixia Mini X) through its paces tonight.
Talk Back And You're Dead
Decided to do a photo walk, looking for my entry to the photo theme "Graffiti".
Was able to take photos for "Graffiti". Yes!
Bought discounted movie ticket for
Talk Back And You're Dead, had a spinach and feta cheese ravioli in pesto sauce at
Bistro Ravioli before my movie.
Same stars of
Diary Ng Panget, the reason I decided to watch the movie. The leads have chemistry but the story is rather chaotic. I think this movie will have Team Top and Team Red, similar to
Twilight's Team Edward and Team Jacob. Well, what is funny are those beside me (beyond their teens) who are swooning/ giddy when they see the pair on the screen.
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass, had dinner at
Wee Nam Kee, and bought a gas stove (to replace our broken one) at
Abenson.
Possession Of Mutant Turtles
A holiday. Since did not plan for any out of town trip (I think I should start doing that), went to the mall for a movie marathon.
Bought discounted movie tickets for
The Possession of Michael King and
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
First had a quick lunch at
Food Choices before my movie, and was able to order an extra battery for my
Olympus OM-D EM-1 camera at
Infomax.
Due to the death of his wife in a car accident, Michael King (non-beliver) took upon himself to document on film and debunk the occult, using himself as the "vessel" when summoning demons. Not scary.
Still have time for my next movie, bought some items needed at the house at
The Landmark.
Because of an experiment (Project Renaissance) and little April O'Neil saving their lives when the laboratory was destroyed in flames, they grew under the guidance of Splinter to protect New York. Leonardo, Raphael, Michael Angelo and Donatello may be in the movie's title, but the story revolves around April O'Neil. The scene I like is the one wherein the turtles are in the elevator, showed their personalities in the confined space.
After the movie, had a snack at
CafeFrance, bought cake at
Red Ribbon for the house, before proceeding home.
Fiesta
It is fiesta in our place. Supposedly the feast of our patron saint is tomorrow, which also happens to be my
lola's birthday that is why she was named "Clara"; but, we will be celebrating it now.
For our food, ordered pizza and lasagna from
Greenwich. LOL.
Portrait Photography Workshop
I would be attending our office's camera club activity--a portrait photography workshop. It is the first time they would include a car as prop. Weh!
After the workshop, proceeded to Ayala Center. Have my usual Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli at
Bistro Ravioli for lunch. Since I was late, won't be able to watch a movie else I would miss the anticipated Mass. Window-shopped, instead. Ooops...
Uniqlo is on sale, and was able to buy one or two.
After the anticipated Mass, had dinner at
Kaya Express and bought Strawberry Shortcake at
Mary Grace for the house.
Lucy
First stop is at Honda for my car's scheduled maintenance.
Next stop is my usual
gala.
At
Glorietta is an exhibit for Tita Cory. Checked it out first before buying my (discounted) movie ticket for
Lucy.
Since my screening is 12:45PM, ate first lunch at
Food Choices, bought water at
Mercury Drug, was able to buy a shoe bag that I can use as gadget bag at
Daiso Japan (prices of their items is either PhP66.00 or PhP88.00); then, my movie.
A sci-fi, action movie, Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) finds herself a to be a reluctant drug mule. The drug that was stuffed inside her stomach was inadvertently released inside her body, causing her to unlock the full potential of her mind. The premise here is that man only use 10% of their brain power. What if he uses up 20%... 50%... 100%? Funny thing, some of those who watched wasn't able to "get" it. Hehehe!
After the movie, window-shopped before attending the anticipated Mass. Then, a birthday treat at
Chili's for dinner.
Guardians Of The Galaxy
A rainy weekend. Was at the mall early to buy a birthday gift for my niece who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Also would have my movie-fix.
The mall is on sale! Yes. Bought first my birthday gift at
Esprit, bought 32GB micro SD from my
suki then proceeded to buy the ticket for the
Guardians of the Galaxy. Since the screening is 12 noon, have an early lunch at
Food Choices.
Started with a kid in a hospital listening to music. Turns out to be Peter Quill, the American pilot/ outlaw. He stole a mysterious orb, which seems everyone is interested in. From there, that's where the adventure begins. Action and comedy.
After the movie, craving for a Xiao Lang Bao. So, went to
Modern Shanghai just for it. And for dessert, a Belgian chocolate cupcake at
Vanilla Cupcake Bakery.
Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Bistro Ravioli. We had our usual of Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli in Pesto Sauce, Seafood Spaghetti in Marinara Sauce, and Shrimp and Basil Pesto Pizza. After, passed-by
CD-R King since Tita J will
buy a 3G pocket wifi.

My cousin's wife (would that make her my cousin-in-law?) suggested to use hydrocortisone cream 2x/day and mupirocin (Bactroban) cream 2x/day. Apply until there are scabs, if red or pink, or itchy when scabs fall off. Don't expose to the sun for one month. She says it is better if scabs stay on skin for two weeks for complete healing.
