Captain Jack Sparrow
Problem with internet at home took almost one week to resolve. The solution? Replace the DSL modem.
Great! The new modem does not work on how I configured our home network. Thanks to the internet, found a
solution. But, did not follow the instruction to disable the DHCP. Did all these last night.
But because of this new configuration, my IP cameras/CCTV are not working. Thus, have to reset and configure all of them! Also, my repeaters seem not to work. Hmmm... Already have a solution but will do it tonight.
Was dropped off at
Glorietta where I bought a discounted movie ticket for
Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge. Had Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices before my movie and dessert at
Baskin Robbins.
Captain Jack Sparrow is down-on-his-luck that he has to give away his compass. Unknown to him, this triggered the release of his long time nemesis, Captain Armando Salazar, who was trapped in the Devil's Triangle thanks to Jack Sparrow. Like!
After the movie, window-shopped while waiting for the start of the anticipated Mass. Was able to buy a rosary bracelet made of Benedictine Cross Medal--put one in my bag. Also bought rechargeable batteries.
Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Bulgogi Brothers. Bought a
tabo at
The Landmark and groceries before proceeding home.
ENT
When I woke up Monday and Tuesday, saw a very thin streak of blood on my phlegm. I had post nasal drip. So our office's doctor advised I go to an ENT.
So went to
Makati Medical Center for the doctor. His clinic hours start 10AM. But he was late and there are a lot of patients. Was there before 10AM, I finished around 1PM. Great! Oddly, while waiting at the doctor's office, I sat beside a patient wearing exactly the same Geox sandals I am wearing. Weh!
Walked my way to
Ayala Center and went to
Conti's for my late lunch. Since it is late for a movie so I won't miss the Anticipated Mass, decided just to window shop after buying the medicines given by my ENT. Will start taking the medications tomorrow.
The problem with window shopping, you are tempted to buy items you have no intention of buying in the first place. Hehehe! Found the small
Hanns insect trap (price way, way much cheaper than Lazada) at
The Landmark's hardware section. Bought it! It's the last item on stock. Anyways, all items at the hardware section is 10% off. Hehe!
Attended the anticipated Mass, had dinner at
Pho hoa, bought groceries at The Landmark's supermarket before proceeding home. On the way, passed by
Pet Express to buy Tsubasa's dog food.
SportsFest
It is our company's sports festival kick-off. It will be held at
SM Arena. Already listed that I'll be joining. Would just pick up the free shirt, snacks and watch a little before I am on my way.
While going to
St. Paul's to buy an image of Mary, Who Unties Knots, passed by
Geox. Bought a sandal at 50% off.
While at St. Paul's, there's a priest who is buying several Our Lady of Fatima images. The staff in the store requested that some of their rosaries be blessed, including the one I purchased. Nice!
And the usual, when in
SM Mall of Asia (MOA), have my lunch at
El Pollo Loco. Hehehe!
From MOA, went to
Glorietta--my usual weekend hang-out. Was thinking of buying a
Starmobile Knight Luxe. My stock smartphone has been used when the mobile phone (MyPhone) used in the house went kaput. Thus, the Starmobile Jump HD became the home mobile phone; the
Starmobile Up Ultra became my
pambanat phone. The phone has to be at least 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, regular SIM and affordable given the specifications. Saw one at MOA but they do not accept credit card. Will look for one at Glorietta.
First thing, dessert at
Baskin Robbins. Hehehe!
Have looked around even reaching
Greenbelt. Now, was thinking should have bought the one at MOA. Also already looking for another brand/ model that fits my requirement; but, it seems 2GB RAM mobile phones now uses micro- or nano-SIM. And then, decided to go to
Automatic Centre. There is one! And the last in stock, too. What is nice, it is PhP1,000.00 cheaper!
Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Pancake House. Groceries at
The Landmark, where my niece came with the driver who is going to pick me up. She had dinner at The Landmark's food court while I'm eating a snack. Hehehe!
Insect Trap/ Killer
Already made a reservation yesterday at
KARADA for my treatment. As soon as the mall opened, went to KARADA.
Went to
True Value and
Ace Hardware for I am interested in the
Hanns insect trap--wanted a small one. There's one in True value but it is big; none in Ace Hardware.
Then, went to
Pacsafe Flagship Store for I wanted to buy a shoulder bag--given the heat, I am perspiring with a backpack. Used my BPI credit card for the 15% discount.
Off to lunch at
Bistro Ravioli. Also, ordered a lasagna primavera to-go for our
merienda. Went to
The Landmark as I wanted to buy the outdoor
solar insect killer. Not working. Bought a small
Iwata insect killer instead. Also bought the
Hanns insect trap for my room.
Went to
Shakey's to buy family pack chicken to-go. Then, proceeded home.
Dengue
While having breakfast, my niece said she saw a mosquito that causes dengue (with black and white on its tail). Then I noticed a mosquito biting me--but without my eyeglasses, not sure if the mosquito is an
aedis aegypti. Uh-oh! Being paranoid, would buy an insect trap. Also, surfed that the incubation is 4 to 10 days; then, the fever. Hmmm....
Had a Mongolian lunch at
Food Choices and dessert at
Baskin Robbins. Ticked-off items on my list (would not be watching a movie). And for the
insect trap, was able to buy one at
The Landmark.
Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Bistro Ravioli. Bought groceries at The Landmark before proceeding home.
As soon as I arrived home, tested the Daimaru insect killer. As soon as it was plugged in, heard a crackling sound--zapping a mosquito. And there were lots of zapping. Would buy one for our dirty kitchen.
Labor Day
A holiday. And I would be bringing the tablet we use for monitoring our IP cameras to the service center at
SM North EDSA. Funny, when I got there, the tablet is working!
But imagine from Pasay to SM North EDSA, it only took 20 minutes. It's a miracle! LOL
Was dropped-off at
The Landmark where I ate lunch in its food court. Decided not to watch any movie and just window-shopped.
Went to
True Value (which is on sale) and informed them that the
Dorcy dynamo solar flashlight I bought is not working. Was advised I can return/replace it since I only bought it last Friday. So, immediately went home to get the item and the receipt. Replaced it with a
Secur mini auto emergency tool and Ansmann rechargeable batteries.
The mall is on sale, so bought some items. Also bought groceries before proceeding home.
