Magic Carry Oke+
Edgar the driver picked me up around 10AM. We would be praying the rosary in the morning (so I can rest in the afternoon).
Played again (religious) music with my JBL Link 10 and Spotify. Learned that Mass was already held last night after I left. It was from Vangie's classmates. Good.
While waiting, my aunt, cousins and cousin-in-law arrived. It was supposed to be a short visit to pray the rosary. Instead, we spent time chatting. After the rosary, we left.
Proceeded to
Pet Express at
SM Mall of Asia hoping to buy the favourite dog treat of Tsubasa and Theo--Pack and Pride. Not available. But bought three cans of dog food for Tsubasa. Also had lunch there at
Hawker Chan (my first time here). Still playing Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
On the way to the parking lot, we entered SM Hypermarket (to enjoy the air conditioner). That's when I saw a microphone karaoke. I bought the
Magic Carry Oke+!
Stopped at
StorageMart to have some of my items put on storage. Then, proceeded home.
Microphone Karaoke
Walked my way to
Glorietta via the Dela Rosa elevated walkway. Stopped at
Tito Pak's for lunch. While walking, playing the new game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
Was thinking of buying a microphone that already has a built-in speaker which the priest we would ask to celebrate a Mass for Vangie can use. The funeral home is a bit noisy. I have to increase the volume of my voice while leading the rosary last night.
So went around
The Landmark,
Glorietta and
SM Makati looking for one. Stopping at
Serenitea for the brown sugar frost with holly's milk,
Rustan's for walnuts. Wasn't able to find one.
Attended the anticipated Mass at
Mary Mother of Hope Chapel in The Landmark. Tita Norma and Tita Josie is unable to join me. A blessing? I think. We have to be at the condo by 8PM for my niece has to go to the airport. The anticipated Mass ended 6:30PM. We have one hour to have a quick supper and buy groceries.
We were at the condo before 8PM. They will drop me off at
Veronica Funeral Parlor. Asked my niece to stop and visit Vangie, do
pagpag, before proceeding to the airport.
Brought with me my JBL Link 10 to play (religious) music while spending time at the wake. Some of Vangie's classmates from high school was there. Tita Leony is also there.
After the rosary, left with Tita Leony (will drop her off). Stopped at
Jollibee to buy her food.
For our
pagpag, we went to
Krispy Kreme at
Paseo de Magallanes this time. We had milkshake. Bought donuts using the BDO credit card promo. I gave the free donuts to Edgar.
Gone
My niece woke me up around 3AM informing me that Vangie was dead. She TXTed Edgar the driver that she will no longer be going to BGC that day and he does not have to drive her. Edgar acknowledged and informed her that Vangie is gone. He is going to pick-up Vangie's only son from the bus terminal--the latter wasn't able to talk to his mother while she is still alive.
Asked Edgar to buy for me a Mass card. If he was able to buy one, we will go to Vangie's wake at Veronica Funeral Home in Pasay City. He was able to.
So after office, went there with Lyn. Winston with his sister and Vangie's sister is already there. We were busy talking when Vangie's sister asked if we can pray. Nobody knows how to lead so I took the initiative.
Will go everyday to lead the rosary for Vangie.
To make
pagpag, we had our late dinner at
Pancake House in
Paseo de Magallanes.
Emergency
Learned that Vangie was rushed to Pasay General Hospital's emergency room in the wee hour of the morning. Received an SMS from Winston asking to borrow Edgar the driver so they can bring Vangie to the Philippine Lung Center. I agreed, telling him Edgar will be there after bringing me to the office. He changed his mind, saying the Vangie might not make it if they bring her to the Lung Center.
On the way to the office, learned from Edgar (he assisted when they brought Vangie to the hospital) that the doctor already gave Vangie 24 hours. Also,
tubo was already placed in Vangie's mouth..
Informed my brother.
Visit
Received an SMS from Vangie's common law husband, Winston, informing me that Vangie (who has cancer) is feeling pretty odd. Decided to visit her.
With Lyn, Edgar the driver picked us up. In pretense of fixing the CCTV again at the Corporation's parking lot, Lyn went ahead. Will follow suit.
When I finally went, she is asleep after taking morphine. She already said confession from the priest who visited her earlier.
After, went to
Glorietta to have our lunch at
Phobac. I wanted them to taste the
Serenitea, so bought them one. Went to
Jollibee to buy food to-go for our
meryenda at home.
Have two JBL Link 10 (which I bought on sale--PhP2,000.00 off). One for the office, the other one I can carry with me anytime. Called them Office JBL 10 and Mobile JBL 10, respectively, in my Google Home.
Serenitea
Received from my sales representative from Toyota that the plate number of my Avanza has arrived. The good news? The last number is not the same as my Honda HR-V. Thus, I now have a car I can use when the other is not allowed to.
After filling-up my Avanza with gas (to avail the PhP2.00 per liter off every weekend), drove thru
Krispy Kreme, availing of BDO credit card promo. Will give a box to my Toyota sales representative.
After dropping me off, my niece was driven to
BGC.
Walked my way along the Dela Rosa elevated walkway, stopping by
Tito Pak's for lunch.
Went to
True Home at
Greenbelt 5 to buy the
Feca hook to replace my broken one.
Proceeded to
Glorietta to buy the rest of the items (medicines, walnut, etc.). Was craving for milk tea. Remembered that my niece mentioned that the brown sugar milk tea of
Serenitea is better than Tiger Shark. Tried it. Ordered the brown sugar frost with holly's milk, 50% sugar. Holly's milk is not available so regular milk was used. Even with regular milk, it is better than Tiger Sugar!
Attended the anticipated Mass at
Mary Mother of Hope Chapel in
The Landmark, dinner at
Luk Yuen, and groceries at The Landmark Supermarket before proceeding home.
Clarita
Already made an appointment. Thus, brought my Toyota Avanza for its first 1000KM check-up at
Toyota Manila Bay. Passed by
Petron to fill it up with gas first.
Took a Grab car to bring us (Edgar the driver and me) to the corporation's Zamora parking to pick-up my Honda HR-V. Brought it to Petron to fill-up the tank... the better to enjoy the PhP2.00 off per liter on weekends. Hehe!
Was dropped-off at
Glorietta. Bought discounted movie ticket for
Clarita. Had lunch at
Mexicali.
Clarita, a daughter of an
espiritista, was believed to be possessed. Two priests tried to exorcise her. The movie was supposed to be inspired from a true story. I wonder if this is from Emily Rose? Clarita is also possessed by several demons including Lucifer. The ending also have the two priests talking with the younger priest informing the older priest that people are going back to the church. But definitely, this horror movie is an improvement from other Philippine horror movies.
Then I remembered that I promised to go to
Honda Makati today to make a deposit for the duplication of the key. Asked Edgar to pick me up at Glorietta, paid the deposit at Honda Makati and was dropped-off again at Glorietta. My niece Pam would be needing to driver her to Greenhills later.
Cancelled my Lazada order for a JBL Link 20. Bought one at
The Landmark instead that is on sale.
Attended the anticipated Mass at
Mary Mother of Hope Chapel, we had dinner at
Pancake House, bought groceries at The Landmark supermarket before proceeding home.
Google Home
Ordered
Google Home in Lazada. After several days of waiting, I was advised that the item is out of stock and they have cancelled my order. Great!
So SMSed my
suki if they have Google Home. They do. They gave me a discounted price.
After office, went to
Glorietta to go to
Infomax to pick-up my order.
Set-up my new Google Home to be placed inside our bedroom while transferred my Google Home Mini at our living room.
MIB Phoenix
Philippine Independence Day.
Brought my Honda HR-V to
Honda Makati for its preventive maintenance servicing. Followed-up also on replicating the key.
Then, was dropped-off at
Glorietta.
Bought discounted movie tickets for
Men In Black: International and for
X-Men: Black Phoenix.
Since there is no queue, bough my milk tea fix at
Tiger Sugar and had lunch at
Wendy's before my movies.
"Men In Black: International" brings us to its London branch. The threat is the mole inside the MIB organisation. Funny.
In between movies, went to
Rustan's supermarket to check if there is already walnuts. None.
Jean Gray develops great power after the encounter in space, turning her into a Black Phoenix. Like.
Mass
Plan to attend Mass at
St. John Bosco Parish Church. Since I woke up late, the Mass already started. Their next Mass is still at 11:30. Thus, went to
Mary Mother of Hope Chapel at
The Landmark.
Had lunch at
Phobac and my milk tea fix at
Tiger Sugar before proceeding home.
Tagaytay Break-In
The second leg of my Toyota Avanza's break-in is going to Tagaytay. Initially, we were planning on going to Sky Ranch in Pampanga. Since I was not able to avail of the discount, decided to go to
Tagaytay instead. Already listed our itinerary. ETD is 9AM.
I only invited Manong as there will be a lot of walking. I think Norlie would be having a hard time keeping up with us. I also gave Manong my used mobile phone which I promised. I created a GMail account for him. Also installed Spotify--he enjoyed the oldies but goodies we played in the car during our trip to Zoobic Safari.
First stop is at
Petron to fill-up the gas tank. Then, we are on our way via
South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and
Skyway.
Our itinerary:
- Pink Sisters Convent and Church
- People's Park in the Sky
- Our Lady of Manaog at Tierra de Maria
- LZM Restaurant (at Ayala Malls Serin) for lunch. They are famous for their bulalo. Must try is their bangus and chicken (which is out of stock at that time).
- Museo Orlina
- Bag of Beans (at Twin Lakes) for our merienda
- Rowena's Pasalubong and Restaurant (at Cliffhouse Tagaytay) to buy pasalubong. They are known for their pineapple tart. Bought a box for Manong and for Edgar for their pasalubong.
Tired but we enjoyed our trip.
It is my Nanay's birthday. Prayed a rosary for her during the drive.
John Wick
A holiday.
First went to Honda Makati to inquire about having my HR-V's keys replicated. They will get back to me about the cost.
Then, was dropped-off at
SM Mall of Asia because I wanted to watch
John Wick: Chapter 3--Parabellum and it is no longer being shown in
Glorietta nor
Greenbelt cinemas.
I was not disappointed. Super assassin John Wick is on the run for his life as he is the target of hitmen and hitwomen everywhere with a $14M price tag on his head.
Had a late lunch at
Bistro Ravioli then proceeded home.
Wake
Learned that my nieces'/nephew's grandmother from their mother side died and the wake is at Magallanes' church.
Asked Edgar the driver to buy me a Mass card. Thus, after office, went to the wake. My niece Camille was there with her mom. Was even able to attend the Mass held for the deceased.
For
pagpag, ate dinner at
Pancake House before proceeding home.
Zoobic Safari Toyota Avanza Break-In
The last time we went to
Zoobic Safari is to break-in my Honda HR-V. This time, it is to break-in my Toyota Avanza. Since it is a seven-seater, we invited Manong (our previous driver) and Norlie (our manicurist), both senior citizens. Hehehe!
The last time, we left around 5AM. Since our speed would range between 60 to 80 kph, decided to leave at 4AM. We would be having our breakfast along the way. Already had the gas tank filled-up last night, too.
Nothing special about the trip but was able to use the audio jack I bought (the Avanza does not have bluetooth unlike my HR-V) and followed Waze instructions while playing songs from Spotify.
We were looking for a
McDonald's along the
North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) to have our breakfast. Thinking that we missed the last McDonald's along NLEX before we enter the
Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), decided to stop at
Total Gas Station in San Fernando, Pampanga and we had our breakfast at
Bonjour.
Finally, we were at Zoobic Safari around 8:30AM. Was already able to buy discounted tickets online via MetroDeal. The new activity we would be doing is the zip line.
There were fewer people there compared to when we were there before. We were alone in the jeepney (without other family/ group) when were inside the Tiger Safari. I bought chicken in order for the tigers to actually go near our jeepney. One even went up the jeepney's roof. #ThumbsUp
Going back to Manila, we followed again the instructions of Waze. What is odd, it did not bring us inside Subic. We actually passed through Morong, Bataan; thus, there were lots of zigzag roads, uphill/ downhill drive--a break-in for the Avanza!
Stopped at
Caltex Mega Station along NLEX where we had
merienda at
Chowking.
Filled-up the gas again at
Petron along
South Luzon Expressway (to avail of the PhP2.00 per liter off every weekend). Based on my computation, the Toyota Avanza consumes gas at 14km/liter.
Car Things
Walked my way to
Ayala Center via
Dela Rosa elevated walkway. On the way, stopped at
Tito Pak's for lunch.
Plan to buy things for my new car in preparation for the our break-in trip to Zoobic Safari. Went to
Blade to buy rag, sticker (so I can identify the car when I am being picked-up).
Attended the anticipated Mass at
Mary Mother of Hope Chapel in
The Landmark, we had dinner at
Shakey's, bought groceries at The Landmark supermarket before proceeding home.
Would have gone today for the Zoobic Safari but my niece would be attending a wedding and Edgar the driver is assigned to her now.
