Into The Woods
Decided to use the Hanx Writer, a mobile application I downloaded from the AppStore. So while i have a time between my movie and the anticipated Mass, typed the contents of my blog in my iPad mini using the application. Luv the feel of typing in a regular typewriter (even if the keyboard is on the screen). LOL
Here is what I wrote:
The Woman In Black 2
My movie weekend. This time, it is
The Woman In Black 2. Watched the first movie where Daniel Radcliffe of the Harry Potter movies is the lead actor.
Had my lunch while watching the movie. Weh!
A group of child evacuees from London have to move into the country because of the war. Unknown to them, the house was the site of terrible haunting which even the town looks deserted. Like this better than the first movie, but not enough to scare me. Although, one of the guys in the cinema surely gives the loudest shout. LOL
After the movie, bought groceries, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Luk Yuen.

A parade of Sto. Nino passed by our house.
Before I Go To Sleep
Watched first on TV the Mass of Pope Francis at Tacloban. Right after his sermon (which is quite touching), left for the mall.
Since was early, would now try
TimHoWan. Was able to get a seat immediately. Now that I have tasted a few of the dishes, I am wondering why there would always be a queue in this restaurant. Maybe for the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, yes; but for the other dishes, hmmm... At least, completed one of my New Year's resolution, try TimHoWan. LOL. After eating, there is already a queue waiting to be seated.
Then bought a discounted movie ticket for
Before I Go To Sleep. Still have time, just walked around the mall. Saw that there is a big screen at New Glorietta activity center showing the coverage of Pope Francis trip to Tacloban. Stayed to watch before my movie.
Christine (Nicole Kidman) always wakes up on a blank slate--she does not know who she is married to, what happened to her causing her to have a psychogenic amnesia. Can she trust her husband? How about the doctor who is trying to cure her? Thanks to the video diary her doctor asked her to do as she slowly connects the pieces. For each revelation, a twist.
After the movie, just strolled around the mall. While eating cupcake at
Cupcakes by Sonja, also watched the big screen showing Pope Francis' arrival at Villamor Air Base from Tacloban. They have to leave Tacloban around 1PM (instead of 5PM) because of Typhoon Amang.
Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Bistro Ravioli.
Welcome Lolo Kiko!
It was declared a three day holiday for the coming of Pope Francis. But in the office, we are asked to report for work one of the three days. Chose the last day for I intend to welcome him on his arrival.
Around 3:30PM, we are already on our way to
Roxas Boulevard even if he will be arriving around 5:45PM. I brought along a radio and tablet with TV so that I will be updated while waiting for the arrival. Many near us benefitted with my radio. LOL
It seems that small spot is really allotted for us while we wait. And the people across us who are volunteers to be human barricade is someone we know. Was able to get an ID so that I can go nearer.
After, had dinner at
a Venetto Ristorante before proceeding home.
Tragic Seventh
Hair-pampering day.
Would be a movie marathon for me. Bought discounted movie tickets for
Seventh Son and
Tragic Theater.
Had lunch first at
Food Choices before my first movie.
Based on the novel "The Spook's Apprentice", the fantasy film "Seventh Son" is about Thomas Ward, the seventh son of a seventh son, who is man's only chance against the terror and destruction that Mother Malkin, the queen witch, will bring about. Fast-paced, humor, action. Like.
Since there would still be time for my next movie, went to
The Landmark to buy this time a case for my Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. Bought also rechargeable flashlight,
maong capri (which the salesladies call
tokong haha!) and raincoat. We are not allowed to bring umbrellas during the Papal Visit.
The story of "Tragic Theater" jumped off from the actual event when an accident occurred while the Film Center is being constructed. Due to the time constraint for it to be ready for an international film festival, instead of retrieving the bodies of the dead for proper burial, the instruction was to pour cement on them wherein the Film Center becomes their burial ground. Back to the movie, there were plans of using again the Film Center so that spirit communicators were asked to exorcise the building. This is where they experienced something horrifying.
Before going home, passed by
SM Makati hoping to buy another
tokong (my favorite tokong is tearing/ ripping)
. Was able to purchase one. Weh!
Attire
Would have watched either
Seventh Son or
Tragic Theater. But since it would eat up some of my time for the anticipated Mass, decided to do so tomorrow.
And the mall is on sale! Hehehe! Will update my wardrobe. Had lunch first at
Bistro Ravioli for some energy. (wink)
Bought clothes at
The Landmark, case for my iPhone 5s and a "see-thru" bag. For the Papal visit, we cannot bring bags or backpack unless they are "see-thru". Was able to buy a Pope Francis shirt at
SM Makati.
Attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Soi.
Mall Gala
I already have my fill for the
Metro Manila Film Festival entries. So, would just stroll around the mall. Odd thing, have to visit the restroom four times. I wonder what I ate which did not suit me...?
Went to
Tim Ho Wan. Still there's a queue. So, it's spinach and feta cheese ravioli of
Bistro Ravioli for my lunch. Maybe my new year's resolution is to try to have a taste of Tim Ho Wan. LOL
Decided to look for a case for my
StarMobile Engage 7TV+. Went to
CD-R King,
The Landmark, Halo. Found one at
Daiso Japan. c",)
Attended the anticipated Mass and we had dinner at
Dekada.
Before proceeding home, bought a 12 gang extension cord at The Landmark.
English Only, Please
A holiday, decided to go to the mall, maybe even catch another
Metro Manila Film Festival entry. Will also buy a Christmas gift for me... a
pambahay. Hehehe!
Bought first a discounted movie ticket for
English Only, Please, had lunch at
Food Choices. And since still have time, went to
The Landmark to buy shorts and shirts in the department store's bazaar for my
pambahay. Also, bought some groceries.
And to my movie. A heart-broken Filipino-American Julian hired online a tutor (Tere) to translate for him his message to his ex-girlfriend and to teach him how to say it so he can say it to his ex-girlfriend when he sees him. A cliche of romance-comedy. Funny but I find no chemistry between the two lead actors.
