Consultation
Again, I will be visiting two (2) doctors: an endocrinologist (where I need to get a clearance for my Endoscopic Ultrasound, EUS) and a cardiologist. I took the medical laboratory tests last Friday, got the results online, and have them printed. There are some items in the test that my result is not in the normal range. I do hope I still do not have diabetes. And I pray that the lesion found in my duodenum would dissolve or can be remediated during the EUS or can be cured by medicine, not requiring an operation. 🙏
My endocrinologist's clinic starts at 7 AM and my appointment is 7 AM to 8 AM (before, her clinic starts at 6 AM). If I would have known, would have arrived much earlier as there are already many patients waiting--would have been the first patient as soon as she starts her clinic.
My cardiologist's clinic starts at 10 AM; but, his secretary advised me that his clinic would start late at around 11 AM. No problem. Allotted this day for my doctors' consultations.
I must admit having a Chromebook is much easier and more comfortable to use than typing with my mobile phone or my tablet. Maximizing the use of my Chromebook. 😄 The quilted bag also helps in carrying it around.
Was able to finish my appointment with my cardiologist around 12:30 PM. Good thing, they share to their patients the QR code for the Unilab and Mercury Drug promotion of 30% discount for Unilab products.
So, went to Glorietta to have our late lunch at El Pollo Loco. After, went to Mercury Drug at The Landmark to buy my medicines. Since it is the first time I will be using the QR code, the sales lady explained to me the mechanics. I would then be receiving an SMS that I will just show to Mercury Drug every time I buy my medicine/s to avail of the 30% discount.
Then, proceeded home.
At home, received a call from the secretary of the gastroenterologist who would be doing the EUS to send over the clearance and the lab results. Was scheduled this Thursday, October 3, for the procedure. Prayers, please.

Two Doctors
It is my grocery day. But first, would be visiting two (types of) doctors.
First stop is at the Makati Dog and Cat Hospital to visit Theo who just had a recent operation. Theo is no longer in dextrose, and he is so excited to go home. Was able to meet his veterinarian. Theo's wound is still inflamed but he is already eating food. Hope it heals quickly so he can go home by Tuesday. His last operation took him eleven (11) days to heal. Threw some questions to the doctor regarding Theo's diet. Will have to wait for the analysis of the crystals obtained from him.
Next stop is at the Catipon Dental Clinic for my check-up. It is a husband and wife team who runs the clinic. The wife is my dentist. Every time I go there, there are a lot of takeaways. Here goes...
- Whenever possible, put your tongue in a rest position. The tongue touching the upper palate, the upper and lower teeth slightly apart, and your mouth closed. This relaxes the muscles around your mouth, avoiding biting hard, impacting your teeth.
- Breathing exercise so your body "memorizes" to always breathe using your nose.
- Close one nostril. Breathe in and breath out from same nostril.
- Do the same to the other nostril.
- Close one nostril. Breathe in. Release and close the other nostril. Breathe out.
- Do the same to the other nostril.
- Breathe in through the mouth slowly counting up to eight. Hold your breathe for eight seconds. Breath out through the mouth slowly counting up to eight.
- While we are sleeping, our saliva does not excrete much. If we breathe through our mouth, it causes our mouth to dry and may accumulate bacteria. Thus, the practice of putting your tongue in a rest position.
- When you eat any snacks, coffee, tea, etc., finish it in 30 minutes. Then, gargle with water. Brush teeth, if needed.
- After brushing your teeth at night, wipe a small amount of toothpaste on your teeth.
Then, went to
The Landmark supermarket to buy some groceries. Since there is a relatively few customers (a short queue in the cashier), there is still time for me to attend the 12:15 PM Saturday Mass at
Greenbelt Chapel. Today is the memorial of San Lorenzo Ruiz and his companions, martyrs. San Lorenzo Ruiz is the first Filipino saint.
My late lunch is at Fiery Style at Glorietta 4. Then, went to Watson's inside SM Makati to buy Fern-C, which is not available at The Landmark supermarket at the moment.
Had a mocha Frappuccino with whipped cream at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, starting my post in my blog--maximizing my Chromebook. LOL
Walked to The Landmark where I continued with my blog at The Landmark food center, thanks to their seats and tables.
An hour before the anticipated Mass, went back to Greenbelt Chapel where I was able to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet and the Rosary before the anticipated Mass.
Then, proceeded home.

Lab Test
Finally, the medical lab test I was supposed to take yesterday pushed thru. I'm a bit worried as it took them some time to complete my blood extract. This is not usually the case.
Since still early, decided to stay at The Landmark food court while waiting for the malls to open at 10AM. Playing around with my new Chromebook while doing so. Will buy a bag as I don't think it will be comfortable carrying it by hand all day. I wanted a quilted one.
At Glorietta, asked the Customer Service for the Halo store. It is no longer in the mall. Went to SM and proceeded to the baby and children section where I was able to buy a small, quilted tote bag. Decided to check One Ayala since there is a connecting bridge between SM and One Ayala. It used to be the Hotel Intercontinental. They built a mall with a bus terminal on the ground floor. A win-win situation as it provides foot traffic for the mall and comfort for passengers waiting for a ride And being an Ayala mall, simple sophistication.
Proceeded to Greenbelt Chapel for the Friday Mass at 12:15PM.
After, checked The Landmark department store and was able to find a quilted bag with zipper (and on sale). The one I bought at SM does not have a "lock" that I am afraid if I do not put down the bag properly, the Chromebook might fall out.
Had a late lunch at Kenny Roger's Roasters before proceeding home.

Transfer
After staying here for almost six (6) years, decided to transfer my voter registration to my current city. Timing, too, I have to take my unused vacation leaves as it will not be reimbursed; thus, decided to go to the Commision on Election (COMELEC) with my niece, who would also be transferring her voter registration. Because of the coming election next year, there is a cut-off by end of September to do the what is necessary on one's voter's registration.
Supposedly, I should be doing medical tests first at Makati Medical Center. But Theo has to be brought to his vet because he is crying when he wants to pee. As advised by the vet, he has to be operated on--stones, crystals. Also, I am not feeling that well.
Just decided to proceed with the updating of my voter's registration. Picked-up my niece before proceeding to COMELEC.
Tsk! Tsk! Even with an online appointment, took us three (3) hours!!!
After, proceeded to Glorietta and had a very late lunch at Pancake House.
Dropped-off my niece to her condominium, passed by Storage Mart to store some item, and finally, proceeded home.
Nice... the Chromebook I ordered arrived. Simple to set-up, easy to learn, lightweight.

Chrome OS
Somehow recently, have been interested in mini laptops. Looked into Topton L4 mini laptop.
Then, stumbled on Chromebooks while looking for small laptops. Did not know that Chrome OS was released 2010. Find it interesting that decided to buy a low-end Chromebook.
So, went to the mall early (before attending the anticipated Mass) so I can check out the computer stores for one. Result: It is no longer being sold. (sad)
Undeterred, will buy online.
Options are Asus Chromebook and Acer Chromebook.
