My movie weekend.
Bought a discounted movie ticket for
Frozen with my BPI Amore Card. Just because of the discount, this credit card is worth it for movie buffs (like me).

Princess Anna goes on a journey, with the help of Kristoff who sells ice, reindeer Sven and snowman Olaf, to look for her sister, the Snow Queen Elsa, to save their kingdom from eternal snow. Using the Disney formula, having the characters sing to express their feelings, and injection of humor works for the film. At the end of the day, what saved the kingdom is the love between the sisters.
After the movie, dropped by
The Travel Club to avail of the promo for Citibank credit cardholders then onto the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
Wee Nam Kee.
Extraction And Abdomen Ultrasound Result
During lunch break, went to
Makati Medical Center (MMC) to take my results. #ThumbsUp to MMC for fast and efficient service.
What is noteworthy in my extraction result is:
High Fasting Blood Sugar, High Cholesterol, High HDL Cholesterol and High ALDL.
The Cholesterol HDL Ratio is 2.9:1. As searched in the internet, below 3 is good. Yes!
For the Glycosylated Hemoglobin: HbA1C% is 5.1, HbA1c # is 32.0, Estimated Glucose is 98.7.
Method: Capillary Electrophoresis
4.0 - 5.6%, Normal
5.7 - 6.4%, Increase risk of diabetes or pre-diabetes condition
Greater than or equal to 6.5%, Consider diabetes mellitus
The result of my abdominal ultrasound is:
Mild fatty infiltration of the liver, as seen previously.
Normal biliary tree, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and abdominal aorta
S/P cholecystectomy
Thank You, Lord!
N.B. I noticed a statement "urinary bladder is suboptimally distended precluding the proper evaluation of the pelvis.
More Tests
Took a day off from the office to take more tests as requested by my doctor.
My last intake was 10:30PM and was at
Makati Medical Center around 9AM. I was accommodated very quickly and efficiently. I should already have my blood extracted already; but unfortunately, I am still below the 12 hour fasting. So waited until 10:30AM. #ThumbsUp to MMC
After the extraction, went to have my abdominal ultrasound. It is so hard to fill-up my bladder. And was worried because a consultant has to look the scan. Also, it is the first time that after the scan, they ask me to urinate and have another scan again. Uh-oh!
To relax, went to Glorietta after and watched again
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Odd. The same scene where my tears fell, it did again! Had my very late lunch while watching the movie.
Since the new CD of One Direction is already available, bought one as a gift to my
inaanak for her birthday.
Catching Fire
My movie weekend.
Although being shown in five out of seven cinemas of
Glorietta 4, decided to buy a movie ticket for
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire via
mPass.
Had a quick lunch of Mongolian bowl at
Food Choices, bought groceries at
The Landmark; then, proceeded to my movie.

After having won the Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta now lives (with Haymitch) in District 12's Winners Village with their family. But the couple's popularity has sparked rebellion within the districts, and those in power has targetted them. The 75th Hunger Games, called Quarter Quell, has brought the winners of the previous Hunger Games back to the game, which I think is an excuse to kill-off Katniss, who has become the "mockingjay" symbol of the rebellion. There are scenes that tears just flowed (similar when I watched
A Walk To Remember). And because of that, I think I am going again to watch the movie. LOL
After the movie, attended the anticipated Mass and was picked-up at
Rustan's to go to the wake at Sucat. On the way, we have our dinner inside the taxi.
Canon Photomarathon
Today is
Canon's National Photomarathon. Venue is at
Bonifacio Global City (BGC), specifically, at
Bonifacio High Street. Since registration starts at 6AM, woke up early. Asked
Manong to drive me for the event.
Was at the venue around 6:30AM. There are already many photographers checking-in and retrieving their photomarathon kits. While waiting for the programme to start, had breakfast with
Manong at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Also have a picture taken with the Canon Ambassadors.
There were two themes and one BGC theme, namely:
Theme 1: Explore Dynamic Vision
Theme 2: Hope, Progress and Alive
BGC Theme: Passion
We were supposed to take the photos and submit one entry within three (3) hours.
As soon as the first theme was announced, Sam and I left the venue and have
Manong drive us around. We finally ended at
The Venice Piazza. It is here where we took many photos. Including for Theme 2 (which we did not know at that time).
After having lunch at
McDonald's, went back to Bonifacio High Street to submit our entry for Theme 1. Just strolled around the venue while waiting for the next theme. When it was finally announced, since some of the photos we took earlier fit the theme, we decided to submit already an entry for Theme 2 and the BGC Theme.
Then, asked
Manong to drop me at
Glorietta so that I can attend the anticipated Mass. After, had dinner at
Kaya.
Mammogram And Sonomammogram Result

4A -- Low suspicion for malignancy
4B -- Intermediate suspicion for malignancy
4C -- Findings of moderate concern, but not classic
Category 5, Highly suggestive of malignancy: appropriate action should be taken
Category 6, Confirmed malignant by biopsy prior to definitive therapies
Mammography result: BIRADS Category 2
No mammographic evidence of malignancy. Annual mammograms suggested.
Sonomammography result: BIRADS Category 3
Distinct hypoechoic masses with suggestively benign sonographic features, bilateral. Clinical correlation and short-term follow-up by sonography after 6 months suggested to monitor stability. Simple cysts, bilateral.
Tests
Took a leave today for it will be a battery of tests for me.
First stop is
Makati Medical Center's Breast Clinic for my mammography and sonomammography. I have a 10AM appointment. Was early for my appointment.
Hope result/s will be a-OK.
(To be continued...)
Uh-oh! Additional scans requested in my mammogram.
For my sonomammogram, the doctor wrote cyst, hypoechoic while doing her scan.
What I am worried is the additional scan requested during my mammogram.
Had lunch of Eggs Ben at
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf; then, back to MMC.
The result of my transrectal:
IMPRESSION:
Retroverted Uterus with Myoma Uteri as described.
Thin and Intact Endometrium.
Normal-sized Both Ovaries.
Will pick-up the result of my mammogram and sonomammogram on Thursday. Hope everything is OK.
Before proceeding home, dropped by
The Landmark to buy a whistle. Yes, a whistle! Will have to have it near me, in case of emergency.
Sapi
My movie weekend.
First, ticked-off from my list the
Starmobile Engage 7TV.
Decided to watch
Sapi (translation: Possession), a Filipino film about a TV news presenter and his producer, who covers cases of demonic possession. In the end, they bring the evil within their own homes. The film is divided into presenting what goes on behind the news/ television network, and the other is about possession. Those who expect to be scared out of their wits will be disappointed. Well, the treatment is different; but, could they at least improve the camera movement? Got dizzy watching the film.
After the movie, had late lunch of Mongolian quickbox at
Food Choices. Bought a case for the tablet with TV. And attended the anticipated Mass. Had dinner at
Soi after.
RFID
Rest day.
Been reading up on RFID because of stories whose credit cards were used illegally. There is one story whose card was used in another country when the owner is here in the country. Although, recently the owner travelled abroad and information of her credit card with RFID chip must have been obtained while on travel.
There are wallets that blocks RFID scanner like
Pacsafe,
Travelon, etc.
I like the wallet I am using now; thus, searched on how to make my own RFID blocker.
Read
this, and
this, and
this.
My materials: cardboard inside the stocking package, aluminium foil (refill worth PhP 44.75, since item is not available at home), scotch tape.
Cut the cardboard to the size of the money bill. Wrapped the cardboard with aluminium foil. To make it steady, taped it. Made two pieces of it.
Placed them in the pockets of my wallet in such a way that the credit/ debit/ ATM cards would be in between my DIY RFID blocker.
It will not block 100% but the RFID scanner has to be within two (2) inches of my wallet to retrieve data from my cards' RFID chip. Safe.

Thor: The Dark World
All Souls' Day. Also, my movie weekend.
Six of seven cinemas of
Glorietta 4 is showing
Thor: The Dark World. And I am going to one of them. LOL
Bought a discounted movie ticket using my BPI Amore. With just because of this, this credit card is worth it! Aside from using for free the paid restroom. Weh!

From http://marvel.com/thor |
Thor, this time, is forced to have an alliance with the treacherous Loki to save Earth and the Nine Realms from the enemy that predates the universe itself. Romance, action, humour in the backdrop of visual effects showpiece. One can't help if you are going to feel sorry or hate Loki. Like!
After, had a late lunch of Mongolian quick box at
Food Choices, bought groceries at
The Landmark, picked-up the books I ordered at
Power Books, bought Reusable
BagsGo at
Rustan's, attended the anticipated Mass and had dinner at
Wee Num Kee. Decided to buy a cane stick for
Kuya at
Mercury Drug before I asked the driver to pick me up at Glorietta.
Passed by
Pet Express to buy food and soap for Tsubasa and my nephew's dog, Thor, before proceeding home.
All Saints Day
Today is the day I visit our dearly departed.
Woke up early in order to leave the house around 4AM to go to
Manila Memorial in Sucat. My
Nanay usually visits their eldest sister on this day. Am doing it now in behalf of her. Was with
Nana and Edgar, the driver.
Before proceeding to
Sgt. Mariano Cemetery, dropped by
McDonald's for a very early breakfast. Visited my
Nanay,
Tatay,
Lolo,
Lola and uncles at Sgt. Mariano Cemetery. Already set-up at the gate of the cemetery is GMA 7 for the "Unang Hirit" show. Will be back around 3PM.
At 3PM, went back to Sgt. Mariano Cemetery, this time with my niece. Good, too, because she's the one who carried in the flower arrangement and lit the candles.
After, went to
Glorietta to have
meryenda at
Pancake House and bought a gift for my
inaanak at
Terranova who happens to have her birthday today. That's a lot of candles! LOL
